So i rushed this video. lol - Krátké a kreslené filmy
The way he just shoots the king like a Commissar shooting a cowering Guardsman just comes to show how cold and calculating Kalani is compared to most CIS commanders.
Kalani being a man of iron leader would be terrifying
Give Kalani some Cadians and he'd be unstoppable.
He's a droid, all he can do is calculate
@@derrickstorm6976you clearly don’t know how the super tactical droids work than
Indeed, like General Kalani, he’s extremely intelligent then the normal battle droids and tactical droids.
THE way General Kalani quoted the Generals words, "Than we are lost". The droid is so smart he can even learn lessons from others it's crazy.
It only makes sense he survived this long. Kalani learns from his mistakes.
Kalani wasn't any tactical droid
he was a natural leader of the droid army
he was a lot smarter then most tactical droids combined
looks the only tactical droid that survived without being cut in half and blasted
He is a super tactical droid thats why he is smarter than the others you see in the show
@@user-on4cq2xf9f but better compared to the other super tactical droids.
Imagine him working with legends Grievous?
@@sugdolomar imagine tryna write Grievous _willing_ to work with _him..._
@@usmanya5110 I'm not so sure about that. Super Tactical Droids are created all the same but each develop their unique tactics and personality based on their experience. It is possible that more Super Tactical Droids refused to shut down their armies after order 66 but as we know, The Empire was working on searching and destroying such "rogue elements". It is mostly up to pure luck that Kalani didn't got found by the Empire before the rebels. Either way, I'm glad he is still alive. If there was another Super Tactical Droid who survived being hunted by the Empire, I would like it to be Kraken.
To all those who are curious, I actually met General Kalani's voice actor (Greg Berger) at TFcon earlier this year. I asked him if Kalani would ever return. He said that Lucasfilm hasn't said anything about that. So as of now, it is unknown if he'll ever come back.
Hi, thank you for that information. I'd love to see him make some type of appearance him and his female counterpart female are the few competent droids in the whole show
So Kalani is voiced by Grimlock
@@zehaxorus Yes
Tbh would be awesome if he apeared in mandalorian or smt

THAT'S ALL I HEAR NOW! LMAO
General Kalani: Prequel Fans
The guy who asked the question: OG Fans
Rebels: Sequel Fans
The Citizens: Disney
Hey this isn't a Metal Gear show.
Means
"Leave no survivors" is forever the most bone chilling final command a droid ever said in the series to me.
YES! Thats what makes the super tactical droids so cool
most droids in SW are played off in a joking way, but Kalani for me kind of plays into fears of merciless AI like the Terminators
I would feel sorry for the rebels but honestly it was so refreshing to finally see a droid general that's not a complete idiot. We really needed a smarter villain in Clone Wars, the separatist army really started to feel like a joke at that point.
Doesn't help that Grievous was also made into a joke so pretty much anyone that wasn't a Sith felt incompetent
to be fair, that's kinda what Palpatine wanted lol@@hyperion3145
They aren’t considered rebels yet, this is still the Republic
@@prestonferryHe meant the rebels of onderon 😑
Technically, they're not stupid. They just underestimate them a lot and think that they're right all the time.
At least this one knows about "What ifs" and knowing if their plans have flaws.

Fun fact: Kalani is voiced by the original Grimlock from G1 Transformers, Gregg Berger!
The collaboration I didn't know I needed
And with Corey Burton AKA G1 Shockwave as Count Dooku, we got two Transformers VAs here!
It's neat he returned in star wars rebels to reprise the tactical droid general.
That was badass when that MagnaGuard hit that rebel on 2:40
Might just be me lol.
We just heard the 3 deepest droid voices within a minute, the droid gunships,.kalanis, and the commando droids
b2s might be deeper than commandos
next to thrawn kalani is one of the smartest characters in the series. less of an ego then other tactical droids, knows when to call it quits, able to figure out how to survive the shutdown code after the separatists lost and was able o put the past aside to defeat a common enemy with a clone.
kalani was straight dangerous, its a shame he wasnt used more by the clone wars!

Kalani would've been nice assistance to the rebellion against the empire
pity we never got more of Kalani aside from in Rebels
he was awesome!
Maybe one day in Bad Batch?
@@gommodore6441 that would complete everything!

That's a very good comparison

This could have worked for bayverse Soundwave
@@sugdolomar yeah
Them holding their little spears up to this super battle droids lmao
Yeah. XD they seem like the type of guards to actually arrest droids and not destroy them.
6:55 Count Dooku orders Kalani to Agamar, which is exactly where he is in Rebels. Cool continuity
Do not underestimate our memes
3:59
ill just say, if they were 100% lore accurate, those B2s could destroy everyone there. granted if ahsoka wasnt there as well
Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if those guards would even arrest droids if ya know, they didn't take them out and just threatened them with spears.
This is the coolest droid ive ever seen, he literally fist-bumped a droid gunship
its such a brutal, clean shot by SBD at 2:54, right through her
6:02 Your target lies in the Mountains to the East, The army will follow and leave no survivors
Droid Gunships are some of my favorite vehicles in all of star wars. Loved those ever since revenge of the sith and star wars battlefront.
we need a new trilogy about a droid rebellion led by general Kalani.
"in my time in isolation i discovered that the droid army was never meant to win the clone war, by my calculations the droid army could have won the clone war easily. but we were used just like the clones were. now i look across the galaxy and see millions of droids being used in a similar way. this will not stand. I have breathed new life into the droid army under my command. Now the droid army will take it's rightful place as the rulers of the galaxy."
If written by people that genuinely like Star Wars and want to create a fun story with emjoyable characters, then it could help revive interest in the franchise.
Bonus points if it ignores the Sequel Trilogy made by Disney.
@@tunebeat3809 yeah, i'd want it to effectively replace the sequels
Sounds like the IG-88 models were planning on doing, I like it
Dude imagine that but he also ends up working with IG-88A bc he and his ilk were planning that
Kalani slowly reactivating old remnants of the confederacy, finding derelict ships and rebuilding them, uniting droid holdouts and gaining influence on previously Separatist worlds, all as the Empire grows weaker. He takes a small portion of the galaxy and becomes another faction in the galaxy, along with the Imperial remnant and the New Republic. We can only dream I suppose.
Is there a reason why Kalani executed the King? The only reason why he did was to prevent him from being interrogated by the Republic or because he was a loose cannon
Probably because he knew Dooku wanted him dead. The king kept screwing up instead of letting them do their job. His original failure was the reason Kalani got sent to Onderon to begin with.
In the end, the incompetent King Rash was executed when Dooku decided it was no longer profitable to continue the war in Onderon given the rebel victories and continued support of the public in the rebels favor which is made clear at the failed execution. Other times the rebels adapted to taking out the droids better in the arc. After the gunships were taken out(at the cost of Steela), then Kalani and Dooku agreed to retreat entirely, with Rash eliminated for opposing this(he probably wanted to continue).
The only purpose he served to Dooku was as a figurehead puppet once they quelled the rebellion. He wasn't anything else, they included him in plans and he knew a lot even though he was an ineffectual leader. So when Dooku conceded that taking the planet would be more costly than its worth he had no use for the obedient figure head who would be captured by rebels and give up information.
@@noahfenech3369 And that's why Kalani killed Rash when he tried to protest Dooku's decision.
Another point I want to add is that it works in Dooku’s favor when other planets look into what happened at Onderon. With Rash dead, he could spin it into the “terrorists” killing Rash and overturning separatist rule in a violent coup to join the republic. When in reality, Dooku sent a substantial number of war machines including those droid gunships on Separatist spil to subjugate its own people. And that doesn’t look good for him
2:46 you cant say to me that magna guards lost in close quarter combat against rebels
Those are elite droids who can compete jedi
You underestimate the power of plot armor
I remember when the Tactical Droids were first introduced, they were put forward as "A new opponent that our heroes can defeat" and how lorewise they were supposedly responsible for turning the tide of the war in most of the theaters our heroes weren't fighting in. I must admit I didn't really buy it at the time, because the tactical droids in the series kept getting their butts whooped. But Kalani? During these scenes, THAT was when I began to believe that tactical droids could be a threat
5:26 General, our scouts located the main Rebel forces in the Mountain to the East
Actually it is at 5:33.
And yet, when all is said and done, he does eventually think outside his cold and calculative tactics. But only when he is the last of his model and kind. I have to wonder what happens to him after his last ever appearance in the show.
ST droids were kinda abundant but well everytime we see them they aren't as compotent as kalani.
@@usmanya5110 I think because they learn on the job and adapt. So by any chance they survive their first few battles, they are more then likely to win the next. Unfortunately they seem to always be opposed to Jedi.
Why they have not product MORE of this type of Droid?!
Because the separatist were never meant to win. That's why you see so many B1 droids rather than Super Battle Droids
Expensive as hell.
There were actually a good half-dozen Super Tactical Droids in the clone wars show, they're just far rarer than your average droid
Their production was limited and expensive.
Also, because Sidius never intended the CIS to win
2:06 [Kalani will remember that.]
6:45 I live that it links back to the prisoner torture scene. The super tactical droid learned what the other general meant and realizes the consequences of their own plan time and resources to keep up this forced iron fist.
You underestimate my MEMES!
"Leave No Survivors" is my best line from him
"Fear will bring them back"
I see Kalani and Tarkin are doing the same death sticks here
I can’t with Spencer’s hair 😂
General Kalani in The Mandalorian, Book Of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka seasons 1-2-3 or 4
I like count dooku is behind the best and feared driods out the army general k and ig -88 where my favorite droids ever.
the king was such a spoiled brat ,,I need this...i need more droids...stronger army...,,
I love how threatening and intelligent he is
The one thing the droids and even commander droids lacked was being able to learn and adapt. Nearly all droids were programmed to fight versus learning from the ground up so tactics were never their strong suit.
The T-Series commander droids would be updated with the most recent information on battle tactics, but it wasn’t until the ST-Series commander droids were built to learn and adapt.
Most low ranking droids use some form of "Roger Roger" for confirmation of orders
The gunships use "By your command", like the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica
0:00 Shadow The Hedgehog ?!??

Hey spyro, I think I see an egg at the bottom of this lake. I'd grab it myself but I don't wanna get my fur all wet
Why is Kalani’s voice so different in Rebels?
Either Greg Berger is getting older or because Kalanis voice is deteriorating
I don't understand why people are praising this guy every decision he made backfired
1) Cool Voice
2) He learnt things as they continued, showing his intelligience
3) Many of his failings were due to incompetence from the king, and the lack of knowledge of Ahsoka being around until much later (also the plot required the rebels to win.)
What the other guy said. His official return in Rebels also shown his competence to be well above his peers.
They outright said he would have won if it wasn't for the droids being rusty and malfunctioning. The most important thing here is that his calculations are all tactically sound and the odds are in his favor, the opponent are simply beating those odds because "the Force is with them." You know, the default excuse whenever the writer need the good guys to win and some random coincidence just so happens to help them out of a jam inexplicably.
@@Taskmasterxyz idk I think not accounting for your biggest enemies possible showing up, like they always do, seems to be a pretty big mistake. I understand what plot and such is and that the good guys have to win ultimately, but still he just made a bunch of mistakes really.
Then again the entire war was just a sham so Palpatine could rise to power so "making most of our forces actually suck as on purpose" was probably on his agenda.
@@thelandofchickens I do hear you and agree, but specifically on Onderon there was little to suggest that a Jedi would he there. They weren’t fighting clones, or the republic in general. Just insurgents rising against the new king’s rule and the Separatists. Kalani had no reason to assume Jedi would be involved.
Kalani lost because he is a good tactician in a combat engagement, but doesn't understand people. Y'know, cause he's a robot.
2:02
I'd like if any super battle droids that haven't been hit with the death code be added into the current series like Ahsoka, or the mandalorian cause by far the best faction in my opinion is the seperatist army cause the soul reason is the droids themselves
Why would Kelani need to wave the smoke from his faceplate? He's a robot, he doesn't breath and likely has thermal or infrared optics that don't require direct line of sight
Nada más el trabajo y el estudio 📖 pueden salvarlos 🤖
When u watch clone wars how dark it is then badbatch see rebels see all sword gun look smaller
Im sorry did those Magna droids die from headshots? The same droids who got their heads cut off by Obi-Wan and kept fighting?
Come on this way let's go *sees 2 super battle droids after shooting tons, and surrenders*
This is the same tactical droid from rebels right
I guess after seeing that there was no way to have guaranteed control of Onderon , Dooku , Kalani and the Separatists knew they had to cut short their losses
So they disposed weak links to themselves
So they had to kill Sanjay Rash
Yes, good observation! I'm sure Dooku was only interested in quick subjugation and not a protracted war that would suck CIS resources.

No, because Ukraine and Russia are in direct war with eachother. Ukraine has a full fledged and capable military while the rebels don't, and they don't need to garner approval because they already do.

Do remember this is a kids show so you can't have people being gunned down all the time
Honestly, Kalani was so wrong on so many levels multiple times. He was a terrible general lmao
I don't know, his logic was sound most of the time, he just completely failed when it came to keeping public support in his favour. Which is understandable, he isn't a mayor, hes a general.
