That line of the BX being constructed before the clone wars is extremely impressive to serve in the wars and not be destroyed. Really goes to show just how great those BX units are.
I mean if regular BX droids can give standard jedi a fair shake, although they likely dont usually win, they still prove decent adversaries. Against regular forces like Clones and the sort yeah I could for sure see one lasting. Im pretty sure Commando droids are kinda on the same level as Clone Commando's maybe a little bit weaker, but that's probably just because all the clone commando's we see are more plot centric characters while BX are reserved for being enemies.

I think bx as commandos are given more freedom and intelligence since they need it to be effective commandos. B2s are enforcers and need to be loyal and strong. Not smart and cunning

The reason they bicker as often as they do is because even if they want to destroy eachother (which they often do), their programming completely forbids it in situations where it would go against orders or basic protocols. So they instead bicker.

The B2 still confused at the B1's defiance, especially because they'll both run out of power without a recharge. B2's signal to the droid collective also goes offline along with it's power starting to falter, making it apprehensive about going offline, the B1 stays with it so it isn't alone, which is illogical to the B2. "You can't have much energy left-why waste it? It's pointless. It's suicide." "I'd rather have two days of freedom than go back to what I was." The B2 damaged and out of power, shuts down. The B1 goes up the valley and looks at the battle, deciding it still wants freedom from it's short lived and doomed existence, even if it's only for a short while. It sits down on a hill and observes nature, going offline, then it cuts to some years after the Clone Wars and some farmers salvage the droid, surprised it's intact and not in the valley where their planet's conflict took place, and recharge it to give it the task of being a simple farmhand, not used and abused for murder :D

It's so damn interesting to see droids of various intellects and consciousness, some are complete machines with their only want to follow orders, and others have gained personalities whether because of age and experience or errors in their programming, some respect the chain of command even to lesser models, and others don't care about the chain of command because they believe they are superior due to their personalities, and they just don't give a fuck.
It would explain why Kamino was able to get their own Commando Droids to train the Clones so early in the war, Commando Droids were already on the market before the war even started.

b1s have too much capacity for deviation in their code to be effective soldiers, causing them to seem dumb. B2s have too little, causing them barely march forward and fire weapons. Commanders are the right amount of A.I. deviation and rigidity for a perfect mechanical soldier, but apparently require too much hardware to mass produce. Using a sort of update system, the ideal Droid Army would consist of Commander brains dedicated to creating the best movement patterns for combat, using strong, agile limbs and constantly advancing their combat, performing moves that it would take a sentient years to master Perfectly upon download and capable of adapting those moves to any combat scenario. These would be supported by an Update Hub of sorts, a commander drone with extra hardware capable of using tactics from the network across the galaxy to guide these theoretical b3s in the best ways possible for the situation, communicating each team of them to work with frightening speed and efficiency alongside other teams. Each team would work together as if one mind via radio transmissions, which can be switched to Audio Transmissions instead if Jammed, or light flashes if jammed and operating in space. Stealth modules can be equipped to unifiedly operate via Infrared flashes or via local wildlife vocalizations. Basically, the droids had potential, but were made assembled poorly.
This is how sibling interact especially the Bx and B2 battle droids both agreeing that B1 are flawed but at the same time have their times of arguments

Honestly, in a head-to-head combat, 2 B1s with synchronised fire have a high chance of killing a jedi since it is hard to align a sword to parry both shots at once, impossible for 3 and will require repositioning or avoiding head-to head combat. Honestly if droid squads were programmed to fire simultaneously at jedi - it would be deadly and it is much easier to do than to train organics to shoot simultaneously
The funniest part is that B1 is the most intelligent battledroid of the bunch. They operate vehicles, maintain weapons, even crew starships. No other battledroid is this versatile, not even the BX.
We NEED a "middle earth: shadow of war" game, but instead of LOTR, it's Star Wars, you're on your home planet controlled by the CIS, you're on a quest to liberate yourself, and you use a hacking device to take over droids instead of a dead elf to take over orcs!!
Would have been cool to see the droids actually thinking they're better like for example some super tactical droid creates a faction of his own, that would've been great (much better than what the sequel trilogy has given us anyway)
One important thing to remember about B1 battle droids is how many times in the clone wars we saw the Jedi deflecting their shots directly in front of their body or a clone. Storm troopers flat out miss while droids would hit their targets if a Jedi wasn’t involved. The bad batch shows with no Jedi or plot armor and a good strategy they are quite the effective fighting force.
tbh this sorta just reinforces the whole "droid sentience may be iffy but battle droid sentience is absolutely true" case I've heard thrown around. Like, they got reprogrammed to just follow the orders of the raiders and now they all exhibit the personalities of roommates who hate each other? They show more personality here than they do in any other Star Wars media, including Clone Wars, weirdly enough. Everyone here gets the B1 treatment except Magnaguards (who just become scary i guess??) and Droidekas for obvious reasons. I know it's just a game but it felt a little wrong dismembering the droids because, for all intents and purposes, they are shown to be alive, and yet they are forced to obey orders they don't want to follow. The game can't have its cake and eat it too. Like I don't feel bad about killing stormtroopers because you made the choice to join the army and kill people, asshole. But droids don't get a choice despite exhibiting feelings and thoughts and complex human emotions.
Im really surprised the empire no got wind of a group of terrorist using clone wars era battle droids or didn't really put forth an effort to completely destroy them considering the terror the battle droids caused during the clone wars

@Man of God, about 3 to 4 bx droids could hold down a jedi knight from what I remember, and 4 to 5 can take on a small clone base.

Honestly if droid squads were programmed to fire simultaneously at jedi - it would be deadly and it is much easier to do than to train organics to shoot simultaneously

The funniest part is that B1 is the most intelligent battledroid of the bunch. They operate vehicles, maintain weapons, even crew starships. No other battledroid is this versatile, not even the BX.
Versatility vs focus, practicing 1000 kicks once vs practicing 1 kick 1000 times.
Also they're the ones holding ranks and command over B2 and BX units. I don't remember a B2 officer.

We NEED a "middle earth: shadow of war" game, but instead of LOTR, it's Star Wars, you're on your home planet controlled by the CIS, you're on a quest to liberate yourself, and you use a hacking device to take over droids instead of a dead elf to take over orcs!!
Would have been cool to see the droids actually thinking they're better like for example some super tactical droid creates a faction of his own, that would've been great (much better than what the sequel trilogy has given us anyway)

Good Lord, the droid interactions are the best part of the game.
One important thing to remember about B1 battle droids is how many times in the clone wars we saw the Jedi deflecting their shots directly in front of their body or a clone. Storm troopers flat out miss while droids would hit their targets if a Jedi wasn’t involved. The bad batch shows with no Jedi or plot armor and a good strategy they are quite the effective fighting force.

It doesn't matter where they appear or what type they are, battle droid dialogue will always be hilarious.
tbh this sorta just reinforces the whole "droid sentience may be iffy but battle droid sentience is absolutely true" case I've heard thrown around. Like, they got reprogrammed to just follow the orders of the raiders and now they all exhibit the personalities of roommates who hate each other? They show more personality here than they do in any other Star Wars media, including Clone Wars, weirdly enough. Everyone here gets the B1 treatment except Magnaguards (who just become scary i guess??) and Droidekas for obvious reasons. I know it's just a game but it felt a little wrong dismembering the droids because, for all intents and purposes, they are shown to be alive, and yet they are forced to obey orders they don't want to follow. The game can't have its cake and eat it too. Like I don't feel bad about killing stormtroopers because you made the choice to join the army and kill people, asshole. But droids don't get a choice despite exhibiting feelings and thoughts and complex human emotions.
Forget the Halo Grunts B1s are more entertaining than them
