Man, I really struggle with this, I need prayers y'all, I'm 16 and got born again about five months ago. It's soooooo so so very difficult to contain when it gets going, but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Hey! I’m 16 as well! I’ve been a “Christian” for a year since I stopped at 14. Ever since then I’ve been looking up for evidence and everything I couldn’t deny it. When I was 15 I was kind of a Christian. I was researching apologetics and could defend my faith the problem is I was still in sin. Three days ago I genuinely repented and asked for God’s help. I’ve never been happier. Ask God to give you the Holy Spirit and make you thirst for righteousness instead. God bless you!

You will get through it man. Your hormones will amplify your temptations at your age and honestly you probably won't have a complete grasp on this until you are 25 to 30. The key is to realize you are only human and will make mistakes and sin. Just learn from it. Ask for forgiveness and keep developing a relationship with god.

I battled with lust as I was seeking the righteousness of Jesus. I had many dreams of the spirit of lust trying to posses me as I was fighting to resist it. It was a challenging process but as I was strengthening my relationship with Jesus, lust became weaker and soon enough had no power over me. Praise God! He set me free!

A baby takes 9 months to develop, from fertilized egg to birth. That's the beginning of a new baby, no matter what others call it (zygote, embryo, fetus, it's still a baby). We are all "fearfully and wonderfully made," according to Psalm 139:14. Israel's second king goes on to say in v. 15, "My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth." I was told, we aren't bodies who have souls, but souls who have bodies...

@Mudisuda God told us about this...
10 And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
12 Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.
13 And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.
14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.
15 And every soul that eateth that which died of itself, or that which was torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.
16 But if he wash them not, nor bathe his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.
      Also:
3Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. 4But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
      Finally:
1 Timothy 4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

@Lavenderrose73 Right. We don't even need to think of it as a baby. It's a human. It's our seed from the start of it's life and before.

There is nothing wrong with enjoying sexual intimacy with one's husband or wife. Sex was meant for enjoyment as well. Are you not familiar with Proverbs 5? "Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love." Looks to ME like God wants 2 people He brought together in marriage to enjoy each other in that way. And let's not forget Song of Solomon.

I would like to hear people tell the women not to dress in those things that cause lust either. They show their bodies in revealing stuff and tight clothing, why are they not being told not to do that? We are told to look away though!! We are still best friends and I'll have to settle with that. But. I never realized how lust effected my life's choices. From places to work, to what to wear, who's write or wrong , and friend until divorce. I'm can't tell you how or why but lust has fled me and before me me now lies a past of regret and a future of endless possibilities. I will NOT forget the past but learn and teach my children and grandchildren not of the power of lust but the strengths of intimacy and monogamy. Let me ask would you rather carry the wait of all the books wrote in the past years on intimacy or all the books on lust ?

The moment you start lusting it's already too late. You've stayed too long contemplating whatever. Evil thoughts, etc. Immediately as those evil thoughts come into my mind...I run to prayer. I start calling on the Lord. For help. For forgiveness. Who better to hold you up to accountability than the Lord Himself. He knows immediately...no...He know before you will be tempted. This works for me every single time. If I call upon the Lord. And not ignore Him. And carry on with whatever it is that intruded on my mind. And these evil thought come out of nowhere. I just have to yield to the Lord..bring every thought into accountability to God...it's my choice.

...as for losing an embryo, God is no longer at fault for the loss of a baby at any stage, just like He is not at fault when someone dies of cancer, pneumonia, leukemia, etc. It all comes down to the fact we all live in a fallen world. A world God never intended for war, suffering, or death when He created it. God created us to love us and for us to love Him in return, but it was only love if He gave us the freedom of choice. Sin separated us from God and brought death, but He send Jesus to us.

I know a lot of people who aren’t saved, my friends, my family, so many people in my life. I think my girlfriend and her family is Catholic. I don’t know what to do about it? I’m not good at stirring up conversations about God, and getting people to see their need of Jesus. I’m very nervous and introverted about that. I’m terrified of deeply offending everyone, in the process of trying to witness to them. Gods word says do not be afraid of those who can kill the body, but be afraid of God whom can kill the body and soul in hell. I think I might be terrified of both. I fear God, I’m terrified of hell, and eternity. Eternity is forever, if anyone ends up in hell, that is suffering for forever. I’m also terrified of approaching people with the gospel, both strangers and people I know from all aspects of my life. I’m like a man that’s terrified of everything, tossed by the wind and waves everywhere. God says Cowards will have their part in the lake of fire. I don’t want that to be me. But what if that’s my nature? I’m afraid that I have a cowardly nature. I’ve found myself to be an extremely meek person, I even looked up the word meek. Quiet, gentle, and easily imposed on, submissive, mild. That’s me!!!!!! People used to tell me, I’ll be afraid of everything. I used to think it was funny and joke about it. Now it’s deadly serious!!!!! 😞

Well for one thing I thought we WERE talking about that pill. Either way, not that I am against birth control altogether (for a married couple who wants to wait to have children, that is), but like I just replied to Thomas I am not willing to take that chance. If I was a newlywed and wanted to wait to start a family, I would use a method which is designed to keep egg and sperm separated, i.e. traditional pill like my mother had taken, depo shot, etc.

If that pill causes an already fertilized egg to dismount, that baby, which is already conceived, dies. So yes, that "morning after pill) DOES have a chance of working as an early abortion. But then if people would save sexual intimacy for marriage, women wouldn't be so "inconvenienced" with "unwanted pregnancies." Sleeping with someone we're not married to is irresponsible enough. We don't need to compound it with murder.

  • @Lavenderrose73

Creation Science is something I wouldn't have minded taking. I took Earth Science and thankfully my professor just told us about planets, rocks, etc. and our writing consisted of responses to articles and assignments we'd done, whether we liked something, whether we thought an article was full of it, and there were no wrong answers. We just had to write something. I don't know if he was a Christian or not, but my writing never hurt my grade.

  • @Lavenderrose73
    @Lavenderrose73 Před 12 lety +1

All I can say is that I wouldn't be willing to take a chance of taking a new life. There are other forms of birth control, abstinance being my exclusive choice since I am not married. However, if I WAS married and did not feel ready to start a family just yet I would take another approach, one that's designed to PREVENT conception, not just tear down whatever has already implanted (NO IUD's either!), such as the traditional birth control pill or the dp shot.

Even if you could overcome your lust problem, it would mean nothing when it comes to your salvation (Galatians 2:16). For Jesus has paid the fine in full (John 19:30), and there is nothing you can do to obtain the free gift of salvation (Ephesians 2:8). Stop trusting in your works. Put your trust in what Jesus has done alone.

      Altavian, *READ ALL BEFORE RESPONDING*
I don’t know about you, but to abstain from sin feels like a pretty difficult task to me. That’s because it’s a work.
      *List of works:*
      -obedience to Christ teachings
-obedience to the law of the Old Testament
      - baptism
      -church attendance
      -soul winning
      -Bible reading
These are all works, and none of them can save your soul. Your salvation cannot be based upon works because you have already failed.
      Romans 3:23 KJV
*[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;*
But the blood of Jesus covers a large multitude of sins.
      Romans 5:16 KJV
*[16] And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.*
Also, notice how Paul uses the word, “gift.” Do you work for a gift? Of course not!
The only way to revive the gift of salvation is by faith.
      Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
*[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.*
Once you have revived the gift of salvation, you are baptized and sealed by the Holy Spirit. There is no water involved.
      Ephesians 1:13 KJV
*[13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,*
Because God has sealed you, nothing can unseal you. This means that if you happen to stumble back into a life of sin, you will still be saved. Beware, though, because there are still consequences to sin.
      1 Corinthians 5:1 KJV
*[1] It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.*
      1 Corinthians 5:5 KJV
*[5] To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.*
As you can see, this person did a very wicked thing but was never considered lost. Once saved always saved.
      God bless!

Living with Jesus in your heart means you live according to His design. At first you have faith. Then, Jesus changes your heart and you want what He wants. He will convict you of your sins, because you will hate what He hates. He gives you a new heart. And we have each other to keep each other accountable. But guess what else “each other” can do? Drag each other down. Our entire society is bent on dragging young men into lust. That’s why we need to fight it so hard. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the dark forces of this world. Living with lust will manifest in terrible problems in your relationships, even your kids. That’s not how God intended for us to live. When we are saved, we should strive for “thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven”

@@blakeavila4409 Amen. I didn’t mean to say we shouldn’t fight lust. Of course we should do that! I just meant that our eternal salvation isn’t dependent upon our ability to fight sin. Our salvation is based off of what Jesus did.
Now, our heavenly rewards are definitely affected by our works, but not our salvation.
Hope that makes sense😅 God bless.

Married people have no business taking that thing either! I'm sorry if you think I'm being arrogant, but God's Word strickly forbids murder (not to be confused with killing in a genuine moment of defense or in a war in case you feel like throwing that in my face as well) AND fornication, and people worldwide have done both with no thought of consequences. Even if the pill DID disintegrate the egg before it's fertilized, I understand that pill still causes tremendous harm. I am finished. Peace.

I agree with fasting and praying; it is the answer to lust AND any other addiction; Try a 3 days fasting and praying and just drinking water and/or juice. It works; just drink as much as you need. Fast television and devour the word of God; especially Romans 6, Romans 7 and Romans 8- among other chapters of the bible. The Apostle Paul also wrote the book of Romans (and 1/3 or more of the new testament) and had the victory over lust sin; but he does identify with us in the book of Romans and also read Galatians, Ephesians, and also for newer people read the book of John which speaks of the love of Jesus, which is really strong if you look into it. Of course the books of Psalms and Proverbs are great book in the Old Testament!

Also when this vids says have someone to hold you accountable for your sins .... this is the function of the priest in the catholic faith !

And in your one video you jovially told how you were in a pool and produced one...if I had been consuming a beverage I would have had a sinus flush LMBO!!! I love your methodology, it seems to be quite effective, so I want to lend from the experiences of you and other soul winners. Eg.; I love the one liner Kent Hovind uses, 'have you thought about where you're going to go when you die? You're going to be there a really long time so you may want to pack a lunch.' And my one friend asks, 'Have you thought about your eternal retirement plan?'
I have a 17wk Gerberian Shepsky in training for my next service dog and boy is she gorgeous and has a sweet disposition. I'm going to create sunglasses for her and my almost 11yo (current) service dog and use your Dogs Can Talk method. About 5 years ago I was run over by a drunk driver and was with Jesus that night. That episode plucked me from the workforce. I need meaningful work and I believe evangelism is it. So this week I will be traveling to go to the orientation for a program through the Union Gospel Mission. If this program isn't the one for me then I trust they will point me to the program that would be best for me.
I am so thankful that when I behaved like a reprobate that the Lord didn't blot my name out of the book of life because in all due reality if I was God I would have given up on me. In my heart I am thankful every day that Jesus paid the price for me. This gift is so huge that I don't think our mortal little minds could never really wrap our brains around the seriousness of this gift no matter how hard we try and ruminate.
Thank you so much for your ministry and God bless you for all that you do for the Heavenly vision.

I have a few words of encouragement in the midst of what's going on. It might sound wierd, but it is for real and I thought that it would be important to say it.
Its long because I've tried to and any faqs! Hopefully this will answer some of those nagging questions -
Why can't evil be forgiven and let off, how is the whole "Jesus dying" thing really relevant to anything? To you? if you still have any questions let me know x
Do you ever struggle? Or doubt that God Loves You After what you've done? Do you wonder if He even exists for that matter? Read this:
Every one of us have lied, stolen (even tiny things count as stealing), spoken badly to our parents and had embarrassing and detestable thoughts in our thought life. The Bible calls this "sin", the breaking of God's laws. You might think, so what? Everyone lies and thinks bad things about others! Its human!
You're right. That's exactly what the Bible says, we're "born into sin" and that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23
What is that "glory", morally speaking?
Well, the opposite of human nature and desires.
Not lying, not stealing, and having a perfect thought life is God's standard for us.
But if its God's standard and we were made in "God's image", Why don't we meet it?
Well, Remember Adam and Eve and when they sinned. Before sin they were perfect in thought word and DEED completely, but after the first sin occured due to Satan's tempting in the Garden, it destroyed that part of us that was morally perfect and in perfect harmony with God's morals, standard, and love. So while we kept certain things, the ability to be thinking individuals with unique personalities, the moral part (affecting how our thoughts, actions and personalities operate) was damaged. To the point where we are "opposed" to God, hence His nature and standards being the opposite of what we see as reasonable or possible. The bible says "apart from God we can do Without Him, it will 100% feel "opposite", unreasonable and alien to us. Only WITH Him can we gain victory in these things.
Why doesn't God just let sin off and leave it?
The Bible describes God as a "righteous judge", many wonder why God doesn't just let sin off and leave it, but He can't. Why? That's like a if a judge let off a
murderer who broke the state law. Everyone would attack that judge and call Him corrupt, saying that he had not done right and should be fired for failing to punish the murderer for his evil. AND to completely love and be good as God is, means you need to, in turn, hate all forms of evil. You can't truly love good unless you hate the existence of evil.
This means that God needed, as a righteous judge to punish sin with the ultimate penalty of death - expressing His hatred of evil - and separation from His presence forever. Hence Hell.
"The soul that sins shall die (in Hell and suffer damnation)" - Ezekiel 18:20
But God, who is also love, did not want to see His creation tortured and cut off from Him. He cares so much for is that He couldn't bear to see us fall into Satans hands and suffer death, even though we broke the law and deserve to bear the pain and be cut off from perfection forever
Because of justice, God could not leave sin and evil unpunished, BUT because of LOVE, God provided someone else to take that punishment on our behalf, satisfying both justice (by punishing the evil committed), and love (by sparing OUR lives) despite our sin.
God sent His own SON - think about that. His *Son*, the one whom He loved infinitely (the same way He loves us).
God allowed Him to take the pain we deserved, He took ALL of Gods wrath for every single sin you and I have committed. He was punished brutally and completely so that we do not have to be punished.
Back in the courtroom scenario: He paid the "fine" at His own expense (His life had to be morally perfect on this Earth, then He had to be killed as a sinless sacrifice on our behalf).
So when He returns to remove all evil from the face of the Earth, we can be spared and free because Christ has already BEEN punished on our behalf. He then rose again on the third day, conquering not only life and sin and temptation, but DEATH.
"I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live (immortally and eternally in Heaven when I return)" - John 11:25,26
ALL we have to do is accept it by faith. Faith alone in Christ alone.
Religion = rules to be saved
The gospel = Christ saved us already we just have to believe it by faith. If you lack faith (as I did before), pray. He will make it strong it time. Trust Him as you would trust those close to you. He knows you even better than that. He created you and knows you inside out.
    ...WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
What does it actually mean for us?
It means we can be free from the penalty of damnation.
Not only that but we can be restored to Him and recreated into His moral image AGAIN as long as we accept Jesus having paid the price for us and accept Him as our Lord, the one who is in the front seat of our lives. He has a plan for your life, He's created you for a purpose. Just remember that. A purpose that includes being recreated into His image, one you can only accomplish through Him and reliance on His power and by following HIS way of life.
What does this new way of life entail?
It entails love, true love and service and aid to others, to "love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength" and "love your neighbour as you love yourself" Matthew 22:37, 39.
Sharing the message of Christ's death, resurrection and soon return on this Earth to give justice OR mercy depending on what the person chose.
    Sound "opposite" again?
God knows it sounds opposite, which is why, as The Bible states, this is NOT something we can do alone. It's not in our nature.
We need a new nature in the front seat, and the first step is to repent (turn from and reject our sin, pursuing the opposite direction and drawing close to God)
Christ will give us an actual DESIRE to do these things. Through the Holy Spirit, sent by Him to us after the ascension. He speaks to us through thoughts of love and truth and conviction, verses, ideas, prayers and He guides us so that we gain a desire to follow God and be able to do these "opposite" things through Him.
"With man it is impossible, but with God, NOTHING is impossible!" - Matthew 19:26
What is the way FOR though?
Firstly its to save you from sin - the only way to gain victory over sin and not have it as your master is through having Christ as your master and following His aid to resist the devil's temptations.
Christ lived down here for 33 years suffering EVERY FORM of temptation that you have ever faced - "who in every respect [has] been tempted as we are, yet without sin" Hebrews 4:15.
Therefore He is able to help us through our struggles. When the devil knows people have left his camp, he always tries harder with more temptations and evil attacks. BUT - His way is also there to guard and teach you daily in the midst of this (and despite this) sinful, selfish world.
The path He wants you to walk is a path of committment and love - its not about rules and regulations to save us - what Christ did GAVE us salvation.
    All we need is faith.
The rest, the "fruits of good works (the will to obey and follow Him)", are what come through true, maturing faith. It's all about faith and the relationship God wants with you just like before sin arrived.
God preferred His own Son to be tortured And *killed* to give a chance to us (who broke His law of perfection) so that we can live as His children again. He wants us to love and trust and worship Him.
What if I still find myself sinning after I have accepted Christ?
That's why Christ died, For our sin. His death doesn't fix us in a snap like that, but it does protect us from the damnation that our past, present and future sins would bring without Jesus.
It's a process - a lifelong process - of God bringing you back to Him, away from the destructive pleasures of sin (greed, selfish temptations, trampling on people to gain). This process takes a *lifetime*, as it does for all, but NEVER give up, when you fall, know Christ paid for that sin you committed already - just acknowledge your sin and ask for forgiveness - and you can get back up again because He already bore your guilt and shame.
Regardless of the darkness you are in or the extent or frequency of the sins you have committed or will commit, regardless of how doubtful you may feel, know that Jesus UNDERSTANDS completely and He is faithful.
"those who come to Me, I will by no means cast out" - John 6:37
    ...HOW DO I LEARN MORE?
    Don't know where to start?
Note down the Gospel of "John", or "Luke" (for a more detailed account of it all).
Remember that He will "NEVER - and that means never - leave you, NOR forsake you" - Deuteronomy 31:6
You can go to Him with them and be assured that He loves you and is for you.
Keep your heart open to Him and remember that if we pray for Christ to enter our lives, He will.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son, that whomever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life". -
Thanks for reading if you did. I just felt that I should tell you regardless. Let me know if
you have any more questions or if you need any
    clarification on anything

Most likely no, the fertilized egg not only has to be fertilized but also has to implant itself into the thickened uterine lining. Also semen live inside the woman for 3-5 days because the fertilization does not happen immediately. There are also some other factors. Though Steve Arterburn's books are good, ignore the life message that you can be divorced and remarry. You only get one marriage for life so be very careful entering into marriage, and if your spouse commits adultery, you are to forgive and pursue reconciliation not doing what God hates with divorce. I have a playlist on over 90 videos about divorce since there are very few pastors who will tell you the truth. Jesus said it isn't what the law of Moses says, but I say, one man to one woman for life because two become one flesh and you can't un-one the marriage.

The command is "do not commit adultery". The problem is, if looking at a woman lustfully we have already committed adultery in our hearts. See the two distinctions here. One is the act the other is the desire. Can we (I) squash that desire, perhaps not, but at the very least, I should not commit sexual immorality. This issue is taken to extremes! Men in some cases have castrated themselves! Or to the other extreem men have made women wear burkas! Men get a grip do what you can, but at the very least be sexually moral. Lets not go nuts!

I don't know, you'll have to ask God that. My guess is since we live in a fallen world, things are going to go wrong. God gave Adam and Eve everything to eat and said only to stay away from the tree in the middle. He wanted to choose Him by choice, or it wouldn't be love. Their sin separated all of us from God, and there is suffering as a result. However, it does not give us any place to choose ourselves to terminate a pregnancy. People ask why God allows wars too. See above.

Our eyes might sometimes do us harm in some way, but we also need them to read the Bible, which the a weapon we use to fight against lust in the first place! It's definitely not for the most part an eye issue. We need our eyes to serve God. It's an issue with our desires in the end, and as we grow and mature.

The arrogance Ray exudes by praising himself on humility, and yet claims to know more about evolution than this kids professors, is awful.
