That's the old Haviland Building. I lived right next door at 15 E.36th. That building has a lot of history. I'm laughing because right next door my apt rent was $110.00 a month, and that building had huge apts with dressing rooms off the bathroom, raised dining rooms with wrought iron railings. Probably now they cut them down into postage sized apts. Anyway, it was the Haviland Building for many years and when I lived next door it was the Lightolier Lighting Co Showrooms. When the lux condos opened up they changed the name to the Morgan because right up the block across Madison is the JP Morgan house and Library. The good news is, you're only a couple blocks away from Keen's Steakhouse, my favorite restaurant in the city. Ok, not about to do a commercial for 36th St. however , yes, this is a nice space, who wouldn't like it. Me, personally I prefer more windows , but when you're in a building wedged between other buildings, you have to give up windows. Depends again, what's important to you. I moved off 36th to live in Gramercy Park, I didn't move because there was anything wrong with living on 36th St . In fact, I enjoyed it.
@@vincentgoupil180 They say the water tower is still there, although I've never seen it or even photos.
Those old pre-war buildings are great and it hurts me to see a lot of them being torn down, the city is losing a little more charm with each passing year. Sniffen Court is another interesting spot on 36th St, have you read about that? I used to walk by and wonder who lived there. If you were lucky enough to get a place in Sniffen Court, I think you would die there before giving it up.
That's really interesting, thanks for the history and background! I wish NY didn't allow chopping up old apartments and tearing down historic buildings, but oh well.
There are a lot of windows and a lot of light coming in
Buying this for 2.2 seems so much more reasonable than spending $6k a month renting a hole in the wall. Nice place.
I was thinking the same but... I wonder what the monthly fees are.
I bet the property taxes and maintenance fees are more than $6k for this loft tho. LOL Buying in midtown never makes sense.
This was absolutely beautiful but I could never buy it. But it gives me a vision of where I could live in my dreams. This is so much fun for an old disabled grandma.I never miss a video. Thanks for all you do Cash.
When I see luxurious and dreamy apartments like this that are up for sale, I always wonder who is selling them. Who lives in a place like this and then gives it up for sale? Are they moving up? Are they opting for a palace in Paris? Or are they moving to a mansion on a mountain, off the grid, avoiding people and the hustle that New York offers? But that's just me.
The majority of luxury's properties in New York such as these aren't used as primary residences, they're sometimes used as a vacation home, other times they're used as a place to stay while doing business in the city, sometimes they're rented out, most likely though the properties are being held by investors or firms as an asset to appreciate, rarely do people use these types of properties as an actual "home" in the sense of a primary residence.
@@andymofoincross What a concise review of the American capitalist system. Using space inside a crowded city with a homelessness problem as vacation homes and business residences lol.
@@andymofoincross I would live in it just don't want to move across the whole freakin country did that once already its a pain.
The owners have been holding on to it untill they feel they can get the price they want & may never have lived there, or even in the USA at all.
@@sarahstrong7174 Ah. An investment. That makes sense. People who have real money diversify, don't they? Stocks, bonds, gold, silver, real estate. This apartment might have been picked up by them for half a million, now worth over 2 million. 👍
I like it when you show a unit that is actually desirable, after showing us several that only a New Yorker could love. The only negative is the price. I wish Cash would tell us what the homeowner fees are on these condos, because I am sure they would make us all shake our heads in disbelief.
If you can afford 2.2 million asking, the HOAs don’t mean squat.
@@mircat28 some buildings in nyc you don't even own the land it sits on as you have to lease the lot it sits on. Even at 2.2 mill you should know the monthly fees.
This condo/co-op is one of the best I have seen lately. It's probably already sold. :(
Serhant …… classy!!
This loft is worth every penny they’re asking. It’s beautiful, the view is amazing and the LOCATION……perfection.
Cash is real with a few to no sugar coating that makes the tour always delightful unlike others.
Gorgeous loft. Wish I had the $$ to buy it!! Lots of light and quiet too…
Never thought I would call a 2.2 million apartment a great deal, but an enormous amount of space for that cost!
I like how Cash can tour a high end place like this and not turn into a d-bag like some of the slick agents you can see elsewhere. :o)
HAHAHAHA THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT!
Exactly. He always keeps it real. I like that.
Really like this loft, it's very spacious and has high end features. The views are super and will always remind you that you are in New York. Think would use the "guest space" for a small office area or just extra storage (could easily add a bifold door to block it off rather than a curtain). Really love the old architecture on the roof, wonderful spot to hang out with a glass of wine and watch the sunset.
I was thinking butler's kitchen/pantry for that side room, it's right off the kitchen.
Had a bizzy day today, so I'm just seeing this lovely video. What an Amazing living space. 2.2 million sounds about right. I especially love the way the Loft is staged. The stagers did a Wonderful job. The spare bedroom should have been staged as a home office, other than that, it's flawless. Access to the roof with the Dynamic City views is icing on top of the cake.
Lastly, Cash, I Love your new hair style. Looks Great!
LOVE this place!
I am a bit shocked that you walked on AND around the bed frame with ur sneakers though 😳
And in the shower, too. Really disrespectful.
@@bethanyinmn "Disrespectful"???? ROFLMAO
“This is the refrigerator it’s hidden so if you have a friend that likes snacks they won’t be able to find it” 😂😂😂 I’m that friend lol
Really like this one. So spacious. Love that elevator Good buy for the money. Great area. Loved the video
Very nice for those who like modern style apartments! I'm torn - overall, I prefer older style places, but I really like a lot of the modern kitchen features.
Love seeing a classic NYC loft! Super tour!
Love the Area (Korea town) I love lofts and townhouses in general . The price isn't outrageous considering it's New York . I just wish it had more character . I'm still stuck on that awesome museum style listing from earlier this week . Thanks Cash
Beautiful apartment. 13 foot ceilings are wow factor. It's Midtown South, or it used to be. Not the classiest location but very convenient.
It was considered Murray Hill when I lived next door to this building, but areas are forever changing .
313,000 subscribers? That's insane. You had like 10,000 when I started watching. Way to go, building your channel, Cash.
I love when Cash just starts pushing buttons recklessly.
Japanese inspired Mexican food sounds absolutely fantastic!
You are so entertaining! I've been subscribed since 2020, I'm so happy to see your success! I've lived in Chicago-Las Vegas-now I'm in SoCal, maybe in the next few years I'll finally make it to NYC! :)
I am always amazed how he especially praises features as hidden fridge, sink sprayer or electronic panels for the stove and oven which are absolutely common. I could start my oven by my watch - via voice.
I’ve walked that block a lot and it’s kind of dreary, so what a surprise to see such a bright shiny loft. Was surprised to see that Gingerman bar has closed.
Pretty place. Love the bathrooms and the views. I'm still partial to that really old place c the step up to the living and fireplace. That has a ton of character..thanks again!
Lucky view of ESB! What a treat, especially when they light it up!
Huge! Bright & airy. What a view.
What a luxurious loft this is. I like it. And that amazing view!
Given where it is and what it has, that loft is a really good deal! If I had 2.2 million dollars, I'd be all over it.
I really enjoy your sense of humor! Makes my day!
Beautiful bldg. & apt. Great views. If I were rich I would buy it
What a great part of the city and a fantastic loft, wow!
One of the few places I would think about buying if i had an extra $10k a month for a mortgage payment. Liked the location, and the apartment.
The monthly maintenance fee has to be at least $6,000.
FINALLY! An apartment that reflects its price
If I had the cash, I’d put full cash offer in… I love mid-town. The unit… beautiful.
And I’m not a fan of NY living. This place… would be a good pied-à-terre for a rich person.
I love all the artistic titles you give to your videos
Gorgeous place, and the staging is 🔥.
Beautiful apartment. Lovely kitchen. Drawbacks for me are (of course) crappy stackable washer and dryer and fugly vessel sinks in the bathroom.
Always gives me a laugh. Love the guy
You have me laughing 😂 your so funny☀️Love your channel☀️
Great apartment. Curious about the dimensions of the guest room and why do we never get to know the building fees?
Because it takes a long time to digest the amount of RENT!!!!!
That's your surprise after you buy the place🤣
That tiny space was used for the nanny
Poor nanny. Find a better employer who will give a true living space.
Loving the videos
Nice neighborhood, nice apartment, the outdoor space is amazing.
Normally I don’t say this but this apartment is worth 2.2 everything you need no need for anything else. N the stage decor was on point 👍 good video cash 😊
A really beautiful place. Fabulous living room/dining space. I would definitely used that small space off the kitchen as a butlers pantry since the kitchen, as high end and futuristic as it is, is a little on the small side. Great bedrooms and really lovely bathrooms. Views are very nice as well. For NYC, I'm sure the price is right. Thanks Cash!
I used to work in Midtown. God I miss the food up there. Waffles and Dinges was our 3:00 treat.
Gorgeous place!
Kyoto bookstore on 33 Street is bookstore that if you are a K-pop fan in NYC you can get everything👍🏾
BEAUTIFUL loft what an awesome place
Definitely a gem.
Man that is NICE!!!! Love the views, the light, the high ceilings, that ridiculously huge living room. No idea if 2.2 million is a good deal or not, but I'd rather live here than in some glass box on the 56th floor. Place just has a more homey feel to it. There is no terrace, but that's kinda hard to come by in NYC unless you have a ground floor or top floor place. Also who thinks those silly vanities are a good idea, yeah they look pretty but I'd be ripping it out and putting in a normal cabinet with drawers and a huge counter, much more practical.
Take all my money, property and savings!!!
Just pleeeeeaaaase give me the keys!
I’ll owe you the rest…
Um……what….? £72.80 isn’t enough?
Oh….. 😳
Hey Cash! While I'm not a big fan of the West 30's, you're looking sharp man with your haircut!
What if the buyer wanted the place as is, staging included? This apartment is gorgeous! 🙂👍👍👍♥️
They could get it for a price.
nice place awesome video intro!
😳💖😍💖😍💖😍 That roof top.
Gorgeous!!
This is Gonna B so Good CJ🔥🔥🔥👍…..
Bacon Waffles of course! 😁 I love this Apartment, if I had the Money I would buy it. 🙂
These Realtors pay attention to detail and always show Cash an espresso machine! LOL well done ☕😎 also, that spare room with no windows is perfect for just a bed and an alarm clock. Good sleeping!
This was very good. I could see why the price tag is what it is. Really liked it.
This is my apartment - So much BTS so nearby!
Pretty dang awesome 😎
It must be aqwuard doing you vids with the listers being in the background lol. Btw I know they have to be there but it's kinda amusing to me when I see glimpses of the in the background lol😅.
the apartment itself is already a self-explanatory, but the only thing left here is an actual collab with Serhant himself
The LR of this apartment is the size of my entire 1 BR apartment. The Murphy bed and side cabinets in our BR give us the illusion of a sitting room when the bed is up. However we are 150 miles North, on the same river.
Amazing place,,, not a thing wrong with it.
Great one.
I can only dream about living in a place like this. In fact, I don't even know anyone who could afford this so I could visit them.
Nice, but what does a Vitamin Water cost in this neighborhood?
This is beautiful
It's moving on up to Midtown Manhattan. Great location with a great rooftop area. Serhant always has great listings. This loft will not last long on the market.
Hi Cash do you ever watch other videos of apartments in other places to compare. In Chicago Grafft realty has some beautiful apartment for half the rent.
I want to live there....and own this
😍💙💙💙
Maybe you can be on the next incarnation of Million Dollar Listing NYC
I truly enjoy your videos. You have great presentation, humor and copious information on the neighborhood. So why do you use misleading titles?
4:14 That’s what she said 😁
Again nice place CRAZY CRAZY money
isn't that structure on top where they send out the bat signal ? really a nice space with great views
Have a great day 😙
I need a small loan of 2.2 million dollars
Anyone else never wont a direct elevator in a multi person building without a vestibule, it just doesn’t seem safe
The ginger man closed! I used to love that spot circa 2009
1:31 If those guys worked there I might consider buying that loft 😅
Ok, let's check out every possible dwelling within specific price frames, this includes properties outside of the city or laneway housing designs that can include shipping containers, aircrete, green based housing products, though not soylent green based building products.
Fabulous loft. Wish I could afford it!
That is one sweet digs.
"Tous les Jours" "Too layzhoor" Everyday.
You know you've watched too many Cash Jordan videos when you see the place and the agent says $2.2M and you think "For that apartment? In Manhattan? Right next to the Empire State Building? Jeeze, that's a bargain..."
I've been lucky to eat one of those "life changing tacos" from Takumi's and they very nearly are!
You should show some houses in Brooklyn or Queens
Beautiful apartment.
I laughed at the Elizabeth Holmes biography. 😂
Very nice. Shoe closet, his and her closet separate. YES the guest bedroom is uncomfortable which is a great idea.
That first roof looks like from the scene in the 40's movie w Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyk Meet John Doe. He said he was gonna jump off and kill himself in the movie
WoW, love it… just need 2.2 to buy it…
This is a really nice place. But I was more stunned to see that Macy's still exists. I haven't heard that name in forever. Cash tripping on the hidden fridge "if you got friends who like snacks they won't find it" lmao.
If you haven’t heard Macy’s in forever I’m just wondering where do you live. Are you in a rural area? Macy’s is a big retail store in every major city across America that gross millions of dollars a year. They’re so lucrative they’re not going out of business anytime soon!!!
@@SweetDreamz0223 Yeah I know... Macy's has been around forever. We had one at our local mall from 1976 when the mall was built until Macy's and other stores in the mall closed up shop because crime started getting bad. I was told by the manager that Macy's were closing "all of it's stores". We had a Macy's furniture store locally but it's closed now. We only have two (I had to look it up) stores way over on the east side of the bay (I live on the east side of the Golden Gate Bridge/San Francisco) where I never go.
Have to laugh at the amount of “lofts” in one building. It is only the area under the roof !
LoveLy unit in a great part of Midtown not far from Murray Hill and Koreatown area restaurants. This unit is huge and has awesome features. Does it have in-unit laundry?
