Easy upgrade for your Dodge Stratus or Chrysler Sebring. Unfortunately the only option as far as the size of the radio for this car is a single DIN size. This entire upgrade with parts included can be completed for under $100 if you have tools already. DIY and save money! Below you will find links to the kit I used for the dash kit, wiring harness, and antenna adapter as well as a radio comparable to the one I installed. Hey do you know if all of the different stereos for these cats share the same plugs? I want to put a cd and cassette unit into my 06 stratus. It currently has just a cd unit in it. Do I need to buy new wires.
If you find one from the same year, you shouldn't have a problem.

I retained sound but the steering wheel controls did not work after installation

Is there a stereo for this type of car that you could hook subwoofers up to ?
Yes, almost every aftermarket radio has what are called RCA pre outputs. Done have dedicated subwoofer outputs. RCA outputs are signal wires that plug into the amplifier that ports the subwoofer(s)

Very similar, the panel just pops off the wiring may be different though.
you didn't hook up one of the harness's what is it for and why not
It could have been for an add on such as satellite radio or a CD changer that was not used. It did not cause the new radio to not work as intended.
