@@LuigiGamesful well the movies were based on the cartoons. And the cartoons were made to sell the toys essentially. Really the only movies that were made based on toys are the Lego Movie, Playmobil Movie, Battleship and maybe two or three more.
It's directed by the same woman who made Lady Bird and the 2019 Little Women films. I haven't watched them, are those movies good?

I am unironically hyped for this movie because it seems like they're going for the campy "Life in the Dreamhouse" vibes which btw is an amazing show.

Greta Gerwig needs more attention. The director of this movie also directed some other good movies like Lady Bird and Little Women.
There is an idea of a Kenneth Carson, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there.
