Hello! Some people are wondering where to start when learning Korean. I am new to the classes too :) I think challenging yourself is important but here are some ideas to work on. 1. Hangul// Korean Alphabet 2. Numbers 3. Basic grammar 4. Introducing yourself 5. Expressing and describing things 6. Vocabulary words. I hope this helped! Even if I attend classes I work on these things on my free time.

mul cans if she goes too fast, I suggest watching videos over and taking your time with notes. Also, take all the notes and quizzes she gives us and study off of them. It’s like evidence when you have nothing. It will help, Iwill suggest Koreanclass101 they are good.

But this March I begin listening to BTS, so I thought it was a good idea to learn Korean now. I could understand what they are saying and pursue my childhood dream as well. I think Korean is a very nice language and similar to Hindi (my mother tongue)in many ways as well. I watched your run BTS gaming video yesterday. It was nice. Thanks!

@@talktalkkorean5614 Yes. The sentence order of Hindi is also S+O+V. It has politeness forms as well. Assimilation(consonants and vowels) also happens but the spelling and pronunciation both change incase of Hindi. One things I notice a lot is usage of 네(yes). It can mean yes, I see, pardon and a lot of other things. We also do this.😅😅

Hey miss Vicky!!! I wanted to join the live but I couldn't cause in my country(Greece - I know you don't care anyway😂)was midnight. I really struggle with something and I hope that you can help me🤗 So, in which situations can I use 잘지내 or 잘지내세요?? In a lot of videos I've watched people would say that unless I know or I've met the other person I cannot use phrases like how are you (like 잘지내, 잘지내세요, 잘지냈어요, 잘있었어요). Although, in a specific video I viewed someone said : " 잘지내 means" how are you " so you can say" 안냥, 잘지내 ? ". I agree with him but shouldn't have he clarified that you must know the other person in order to say that? I don't know.... It really baffled me And something else. I know that 그래 means ok. Does it have the same meaning with 알겠어?? And does it have polite ways to say it ( like 그래요 and so on...) I hope you got what i'm trying to say and I would be really grateful if you could elucidate to me the things I've mentioned above. In any case, thanks in advance 🤗🤗

Hello Miss Vicky! Thank you for the lesson! I have a question: I think I remember from the 세요 ending lesson you told us that for the present form we can either use "세요" or "셔요" so when we want to say "Thanks for coming early" is it okay to say "일찍 와주세서 감사합니다" or do we have to say "일찍 와주셔서 감사합니다"?
Good question. Here's my answer: you cannot say "와주세서," and it should be "와주셔서." 세 in -세요 is only used when it's in the ending. That's why it has a name "-세요 ending." Normally when -시다 verb is combined with conjunctions that follow a present verb (like -서, -도 etc,) 시 should be conjugated in 셔, not 세. 세 is the only "irregular form" for the ending (although 셔요 is used too,) and other than that, -시다 verb follows a regular conjugation rule.
시 has the meaning to show the respect of "subject of the sentence", not the listener. So 도와주시다 is the honorific form of 도와주다. 아버지가 나를 도와주시다 : My father gives help to me 친구가 나를 도와주다 : My friend gives help to me. If the the listener is older than the speaker, then you should mix humble form : 아버지가 저를 도와주십니다. Here, 시 is used for showing respect to my father while ㅂ니다 is used for respecting to the listener, and 저 is the humble form also to show respect to the listener.
I mostly check comments on my recent videos, because it's becoming difficult for me to check the comments in all of my videos. But there is a great app called "Hi Native" that you can use for your questions. Basically you post a question and random native speakers who see that post will respond. I personally used this often too back when I was studying Chinese, and it helped a lot :) You can give it a try. I'm sure you'll find it helpful.

Hey miss Vicky!!! I wanted to join the live but I couldn't cause in my country(Greece - I know you don't care anyway😂)was midnight. I really struggle with something and I hope that you can help me🤗
So, in which situations can I use 잘지내 or 잘지내세요?? In a lot of videos I've watched people would say that unless I know or I've met the other person I cannot use phrases like how are you (like 잘지내, 잘지내세요, 잘지냈어요, 잘있었어요). Although, in a specific video I viewed someone said : " 잘지내 means" how are you " so you can say" 안냥, 잘지내 ? ". I agree with him but shouldn't have he clarified that you must know the other person in order to say that? I don't know.... It really baffled me
And something else. I know that 그래 means ok. Does it have the same meaning with 알겠어?? And does it have polite ways to say it ( like 그래요 and so on...)
I hope you got what i'm trying to say and I would be really grateful if you could elucidate to me the things I've mentioned above.

I have a question: I think I remember from the 세요 ending lesson you told us that for the present form we can either use "세요" or "셔요" so when we want to say "Thanks for coming early" is it okay to say "일찍 와주세서 감사합니다" or do we have to say "일찍 와주셔서 감사합니다"?
Good question. Here's my answer: you cannot say "와주세서," and it should be "와주셔서." 세 in -세요 is only used when it's in the ending. That's why it has a name "-세요 ending." Normally when -시다 verb is combined with conjunctions that follow a present verb (like -서, -도 etc,) 시 should be conjugated in 셔, not 세. 세 is the only "irregular form" for the ending (although 셔요 is used too,) and other than that, -시다 verb follows a regular conjugation rule.

Since 주다 verbs seem to always be conjugaylted using 세요 ending. Would it be right to say that the base form of this verbs are 시다.
For example. 도와주시다?
시 has the meaning to show the respect of "subject of the sentence", not the listener. So 도와주시다 is the honorific form of 도와주다.
아버지가 나를 도와주시다 : My father gives help to me
친구가 나를 도와주다 : My friend gives help to me.
If the the listener is older than the speaker, then you should mix humble form : 아버지가 저를 도와주십니다.
Here, 시 is used for showing respect to my father while ㅂ니다 is used for respecting to the listener, and 저 is the humble form also to show respect to the listener.

I mostly check comments on my recent videos, because it's becoming difficult for me to check the comments in all of my videos. But there is a great app called "Hi Native" that you can use for your questions. Basically you post a question and random native speakers who see that post will respond. I personally used this often too back when I was studying Chinese, and it helped a lot :) You can give it a try. I'm sure you'll find it helpful.
