- The Lakers have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA since the All Star Break. After a lackluster start to the season, Lebron James and co have found their groove and had been surging as of late. That is until they took back to back home losses to Minnesota and Golden St that means they in all likelihood will enter the play-in tournament as the 10th seed. Despite that they remain one of the title favorites to today we ask, how dangerous are the Lakers?

One thing I learned is don’t be against Lebron on making a post season run
Most lakers fans that I know aren’t expecting anything. Davis, surprisingly, hasn’t been injured all season but of course he finds a way right at the end. Lebron always has some lingering pain so that will be his excuse. And the rest of the squad is as inconsistent as they come. This season is a first round exit at best, and that’s assuming they even make it past the kings in the play in.
If they do make a deep run, we’ll all be surprised. But the lakers fans who aren’t delusional aren’t expecting it.

I feel like LeBron’s just got that main character boost about him where he can make any run happen if he really wanted to. I’ve been a Cavs fan my whole life, and even I thought that 2018 run would never go as far as it did. Granted, he’s 6 years older now, but I’ll never count out the King.

@@cjvaye99In a perfect world, they get 8th to face the 7th suns in the play in while the kings get the warriors. They beat the suns and get the 7th seed and face the wolves. It’s possible, If highly unlikely.
Any other scenario and they play vs the warriors, then either the suns or kings, just to meet the nuggets round 1. First round exit at best.

Denver will only repeat if Jamal Murray averages 30 points a game like he did last playoffs, people like to give all the credit to Jokic hit he’s not the reason they won the finals. If Murray wasn’t out there playing like prime Dame the Nuggets wouldn’t have done so well, and Murray hasn’t been playing great. I’m telling you rn if Jamal Murray and Micheal Porter Jr. get cold in a series against one of the better western teams, it’s gonna get ugly.

It depends, if they get matched up against the Nuggets it's a wrap. I feel like they could upset OKC or the Wolves due to their playoff inexperience. But tbh seasons over, start booking those flights to Cancun.

I'm a Lakers fan, and before the season started, I was so hyped for them because of last year's playoff run they had and the off-season. I thought they had a lot of great roleplayers and I thought they were gonna be at least the 3rd or the 4th seed at the end of the season. I was wrong.

The team thats among league leaders in points in the paint & shoots around 2/3 of their shots in the lane while taking the fewest amount of 3s is going to have a lot of FTs. Thats how basketball has always been.
Gobert had issues of not being able to be at 2 places at once with the atrocious perimeter D of the Jazz back in the days. But now with this personnel, together with the Lakers being trash at 3s, he can just build a house in the restricted area and live there.
I think that the Lakers are hella dangerous, ngl. I believe that in a series, the team with the best players in that particular series typically wins. If we’re looking at Minnesota match up, I’d take the trio of LeBron, AD, and DLo/Austin (depending on who shows up on a particular night) against the trio of Ant, KAT, and Rudy. Same goes against the OKC trio of Shai, J-Dub, and Chet. Bron is a different beast come playoff time but gotta admit that his age concerns me tho.

With Denver controlling their own destiny as the 1st seed and they have zero control over getting to the 7th or 8th seed, it might be over for them. They are most likely to face the Warriors and the either the Kings, who they have no beaten in a long time, or the Suns, maybe the Pelicans.

As an honest Laker fan I can say we are cooked. I knew we weren’t doing anything when we were 24-24. Can’t keep relying on the play-in to make a push. Lakers fan here and I don't see the Lakers getting out of the Play-In and making the Playoffs. Coach Darvin Ham Is the main reason that the Lakers won't make it far this year because of his goofy ass lineups that he likes to put up out there is the reason why the Lakers are in this situation in the first place there's a metric out there right now that show that Taurean Prince test the worst plus minus on the team with him, AD and LeBron are on the floor When he has Rui Hachimura coming off the bench who has been amazing for the Lakers in the starting lineup He starts Prince over him and then he goes with the three guard lineup like it looks like he's trying to sabotage the Lakers chances on making the playoffs.
Early this year the Lakers as a team wanted him fire and have Phil Handy take over the head coaching job but I don't believe he's going to last after this season he's gone.
