For the entire we have been watching the NBA the Charlotte Hornets or what they used to be the Charlotte Bobcats have basically always been bad. Their future was looking decent though if you go back just a few seasons. LaMelo Ball was one of the best young players in the league, Miles Bridges was showing potential and the team had other young players like PJ Washington and Malik Monk. Fast forward to today and the Charlotte Hornets have become a complete mess. LaMelo is coming off an injury, Miles Bridges missed the entire last season due to legal issues and Kai Jones seems to be losing his mind. In todays video we look at what is going on with the Charlotte Hornets.

The Charlotte Hornets are just the Jailblazers with social media. Possibly a reach, but I remember thinking this when Montrezl Harrell got arrested the summer after his lone season in Charlotte. Two weeks later is when Miles Bridges got arrested, which felt like it only cemented the idea, and then four months after Harrell's arrest is when Bouknight got arrested. Add in the incident Brandon Miller was faced with during college, and Kai Jones' recent shenanigans (I mean, he's still young, so it may not be that serious), at this point I wouldn't be surprised if Houston's "trade discussions" of Kevin Porter Jr somehow landed him in Charlotte.
I mean, at the very least, they're certainly the _closest_ thing the current modern NBA has to the Jail Blazers.
@@donnydogpiss4533 In terms of antics, yeah. But the actual Jail Blazers were actually good, and even were dark-horse contenders a year or two. That's why their legal legal issues were so frustrating. The Hornets are just hopeless tho
I grew up about 2.5 hours north of Charlotte, across the VA line, and remember wearing Hornets gear as a young kid before they moved to New Orleans. When I was old enough to actually understand the NBA, I became a New Orleans Hornets fan but tried to give the Bobcats a chance. I was super hyped when MJ bought the team and they got the Hornets name back, but they never did anything that made me want to actually start supporting the team again. I'd like to see them succeed, but with the Pelicans having a bright future and the other local team, the Wizards, being mediocre but at least competent, I can't really get back into rooting for what was my childhood team

well I mean Look up Mark Williams. People complained not having a Center and when we got one people then said we need a Center who can splash 3’s 🤦🏻♂️… Brandon Miller is getting so much praised for being an Old School type of player. and Nick Smith Jr 🙏🏼 is glitchy asf I hope he gets minutes but with Scary Terry it’ll be tough. IMO is the PF position.. Miles is on a One year and new ownership sounds like they wanna move on. PJ Washington is a tweener at best(Rotational) Im hoping Matas Buzelis but doubt it tbh. The future is bright but we need some proper Veterans who aren’t bottom of the barrel. So it’ll be hard but we here for it

I live in Charlotte and I can assure you that barley anyone here cares about the Hornets/Panthers. Most of the time, it’s the away team that has more fans. Especially when the Knicks, Celtics, Lakers or Warriors are in town

This is the result of when you have too many young guys on one team. For the fans it’s cool , but it can be a nightmare for the organization. Main issues can be Immaturity and competition between amongst another. That is why vets are so important.
I was born and raised in Charlotte and we’ve had our moments just never fully able to build something cohesive together and bad management

As a hornets fan I agree. If everyone stays healthy and out of trouble then we actually would be decent. We would have 3 20 point scorers with Bridges, lamelo and Rozier. Pj can get you 15 and we have 2 solid centers with Richards and Williams. If Brandon Miller can play up to his potential then I don’t see why we couldnt make the playoffs.

People complained about Luka not having help before the Mavs traded for Kyrie, but the Hornets have shafted Lamelo at every turn. Obviously Lamelo is significantly worse than Luka, but the Hornets are such a poverty franchise. I don’t think there’s a young star player in the league currently that’s been put in a worse position than Lamelo.

I’m a 26 year old NBA head from North Carolina. I usually root more for players than teams but I’ve basically always followed and rooted for The Hornets. I like Lamelo. He’s a fun player to watch and I think he can be a go to guy on a competitive team one day. I wanted them to draft Scoot. That being said I’m excited for the development of Brandon Miller. They’ll be better this season. Last year was filled with so much bad luck, there wasn’t much the FO can do bout it. The Hornets have a bright future and I definitely see them as a playoff team for the next couple of years, that’s if Jordan’s successor doesn’t fuck things up

Real talk male athletes need to choose better women. I never saw a DV situation where the woman is trying to break into a man's house on several occasions while she has the children with her. That woman is not innocent. Women need to keep their hands to themselves as well as men. Miles will bounce back from this situation and learn from it. The Hornets have a promising core, they just need some guidance.

What he did was wrong, but whether it’s a million dollar NBA player or Joe Shmoe from the streets it’s not exactly a lock up and throw away the key type of crime. And it was most likely his first offense, his outcome was honestly more harsh than a regular person’s would be thanks to his persona. Heck, even his baby mom forgives him and is asking everyone else to too. You don’t have to, but still everyone deserves a second chance.
