A world class black belt will make you feel like this, regardless of your belt level. From watching a lot Jeff's other rolls, he is a super-legit brown belt, on the cusp of black belt. There's levels to this and, personally, I always feel inspired after having the pleasure to roll with someone levels above me. It makes me excited for how much further I can take it. Much respect for showing all his rolls and sparring, regardless of how outsiders view it. It shows his vulnerability and his true hungry to learn and get better. Dude's a beast!

Totally agree, Jeff is a straight up killer. It shows confidence to go into a specific specialism, roll with a world class athlete and not be afraid to put it out there. As a viewer I find these videos very interesting as we often wonder what the difference is between high level MMA skill vs a pure specialist. Thanks Jeff!
As they say there are levels to this shit :D This guy bends unlike anyone and is so smooth. If you ever have a chance to roll with Rafael Mendez that would be epic.

I remember watching Paulo and his brother Joao at Cicero Costa Gym in São Paulo, like 9-10 years ago, and between training sessions they would be either stretching or drilling, for hours and hours, as they used to live literally in the gym… their dedication was really remarkable
It's crazy to see him just whoop your ass like that with such beautiful technique. There really are levels to this! 💯🔥

Man... A blue belt fucks my life up... Can't imagine what a brown belt would do to me... And then you see a brown belt looking like a while belt... Insane.
Yep, you never stop having someone better than you. I’m a brown belt myself (been told black is coming sometime soon) and we’ve got some black belts that just take me apart when I roll with them. I’m sure if I rolled with Jeff he’d put a whoopin on me too.

Just keep rolling and try taking some of the higher belts like a purple or even a brown , it’ll suck forsure but you’ll learn quicker and they may even help u out where a blue belt might just want to smash you bc he doesn’t want to lose to a white belt , keep rolling bro you soon will be smashing the white belts (;
Paulo is my professor, I’ve been under him for 3 years now, it’s hard to understand his technique and his brother joao’s technique at times. These guys flow like water.

I been training BJJ for 3 years with gi and no-gi, and the thing I noticed is that training with the gi is like ''forcing'' you to have a cleaner technique while with no-gi of course technique is always important but feels more fast and sometimes even ''slippery'' haha. Idk if you guys feel the same. Great video as always Coach Jeff, much love 💚

My understanding is that with gi you learn defense, while no gi is offense.
Gi is certainly more technical.

@@ba8ethere’s a lot of chokes with the gi that can’t be done in no gi , so you’ll want to learn offense and defense in both gi and no gi but a lot of it correlates

Great video! Was a great demonstration on how to use the DLR and invert game on an aggressive passer. I was never really able to connect the dots just watching instructionals and the black belt matches are so slow you don't really learn anything.

I actually prefer his no-gi fights even though his biggest achievements have been in the gi. He is extremely dynamic without the gi and without the limitations of the ibjjf, his game is too beautiful.

Wow. You must be good. Yeah I can never last 5 seconds with these guys. Met Cyborg, Bruno Malfacine, Vagner, nope, just nope, can't last, I try my best but nope, can't even get a position going let alone maintain one. Only one I lasted a few seconds with is Tex and that's just cus idk he felt like having fun with me I guess. But yep, good rolls here, absolutely loved it.
