I feel flight or fight would kick in for me. And im a big heavy man so unless I'm in danger my instinct would be get away asap at any costs. I'd be yelling and bringing as much attention as I could.

Its very weird how the brain works..the same happened to me and i was bigger and stronger than my cousin
I was 13 and laying in bed with my cousin when I started to drift off to sleep but then he started touching my private area (we were both males) and I couldn't even speak or move, I just pretended I was asleep and got paralyzed.. it fd me up for years because I always beat myself over it by asking why didn't I just get up, curse him out, i don't know why to this day.

As a feminist I find it very important that a man being assaulted without consent is portrayed on a TV show. Many men are not aware and find bringing up assault somehow emasculating which it isn’t.

I have a stalker, he stalks his cousins and me . His attacks are mainly all online and he even wrote a “life story” book , which gave a huge insight into his brain as the whole book was the opposite to his life. He keeps changing his name as he keeps getting in trouble by police for harassing and stalking people. It’s not fun, it’s been going on for 20 years now , Police say they are aware of him and his aliases but can’t do anything
Sadly, this is often the case. Most stalkers aren't mad or violent enough to lock up but still manage to cause so much harm.
Also locking up doesn't cure their issues. Although it can give the victims some peace for a bit.

Like you, the spelling really unnerved me.
I had to really think about it. Since I struggle with spelling myself.
I think it's because she obviously speaks well. Is articulate. She at some point did work at a law firm according to the clippings, so she must be educated.
I think it's unnerving because with that in mind, it's a glimpse into disregulation. A manic energy that is not precise or careful. That doesn't bother with spell check or proofreading. That does not actually care about the reader or being understood.

Yes exactly, something about spelling a very carefully chosen word correctly, but butchering general and common terminology feels like all the balance is out of whack in a non convenient way. She's not dumb or lazy, her priorities in her own mind are just that skewed

I went into this thinking it was based on a totally different true crime story. I was so confused for a bit. But wow. What a show.
Edit to add- I also was in the kitchen when it went over that he was on a trans dating site with a fake name. So I just thought Teri was this lovely lady that seemed a bit out of his league. As far as having her shit together & being focused on typical stuff. Unlike Martha, the "power lawyer" who seems to have enless time on her hands.
That it was to show that he was kind of awkward with women so there was a comfort level with Martha. And a sympathy for someone else who is awkward.
