According to my instructions no washer between spacer and quick detach system. Washers are for 3 longer bolts only… perhaps mine is a revised edition.

just put this set up on my new Street Glide. 60 inch pounds on those back rest screw seems way too much. started cranking mine down but never hit 60 with the torque wrench, I think that would strip those bolts. thanks fo the video.

I bought after market docking hardware. Everything went great until I went to pu the back rest on. Front fit, back I'm guessing the spacers are just a hair too long. So I used red lock tight and removed the washers. My wife and I made it fit by pulling on each side until click. But I will check with HD and see if parts shows a different spacer as I don't like the idea of no washer. Plus its not so easy on and off, pretty much on... We tested it and I will keep an eye on the bolts, but she is happy to have a back rest. Just could not afford to come off 150 plus just for a docking kit. Everything worked well, bless you for the video as there were no instructions. Again, online aftermarket, but for $34 via Amazon, what should I expect. The brackets seem nice and well built hardware, well ????

Is there an updated link to purchase the docking kit?

I would like to see this done on a Ultra Limited that has a hard mounted tour pack! Finding the right 4 point brackets is a pain in the Big Old Butt and also finding the correct back rest is as well. Try a 2017 Ultra Limited if ya want a challenge! Harley will first of all tell you the parts aren't available for your bike, which is BS.

Are there longer docking point parts available with smaller spacers? It seems that's what I need to attach a luggage rack and keep the Pinon back rest on my 2000 Road King. The original is just shy of enough room. Looks like I need another 1/8 inch or so to add the rack along with the backrest.

It didn't lock down and click when you put it on-I am having trouble adjusting mine to click in-one side clicks in the other doesn't-even the one's I saw installed on brand new bikes in the dealership were hard to click in and out...The sales guy showing me had to fight with it. Any suggestions?

So with the 4 point docking plate the luggage rack should slide in right behind the back rest?

It sits behind the seat and over the rear fender.

Jason, I don't believe it will fit. They do make detachable backrests for the 14 dyna street bob though. Here is a link to HD's website; www.harley-davidson.com/shop/parts/2014-dyna-street-bob-fxdb#!pageSize=45|category=136511|showFacets=true|userSelected=category3

No, you might have some of the pieces turned around. Lurch had the same issue on the left side.
