  • I know this isn't the best how to video on CZcams, but I just wanted to give someone an idea on how to install an aftermarket passenger backrest. I've searched CZcams on how to install a Quick disconnect on my 01 E-Glide and I've found a few who mentions it, but none shows any details. I know this one is far from giving a complete installation, I just hope someone out here could use it...I ordered the backrest off of EBay and the bracket I picked up at my local Harley Davidson dealer. This projects total cost for me was $175.

      In the video you did not state weather or not you used ( K ) from figure 8. It didn't appear that you did. Just want to confirm before I take my bike apart today.

      @@terrencewilliams4619 - Part "K" comes with the passenger backrest kit. I'm sure you figured that out, just trying to help the next guy.

      Where did you get bracket/ docking kit? Is that the part number for the kit?

    So you didn’t need the rear bracket bar for your tour pack you were able to just use it like that than right

    What did you get for a backrest? Or are they all made pretty much the same?

      I don't recall what I got. It was off of Ebay, so it really wasn't a name brand one.

    Ive got a 2002 electra glide and I've done everything just like this but the front piece of the sissy bar rocks backwards out of the front rubber gromet groove. The whole sissy bar rocks back and its useless. The back locks up fine but it keeps coming out of the front. Did you have this same problem?

    • @bones661
      @bones661  Před 6 lety

      AndyMob Tactical no I didn't. As a matter of fact I had to force the front locking latches on it.

      Big Bones me and the wife just tried it out for the first-time today and she almost fell off because it rocked all the way back. The back was still locked but it came out of the front groove. Yours fits flush all the way into the front rubber groove I still have a small gap where the front sissy bar opening isn't all the way in flush to the front rubber groove

      AndyMob Tactical where did you get the back rest from?

      Big Bones ordered it online but i tried someone else's hd one snd it does the same thing. It don't fit tight enough in the front groove
