You should post a before and after ironman prep physique photo
don't forget to put carbon specific break pads onto your bike because of the new set of carbon wheels
Hopefully the bike shop he said was going to put them on will have thought of that too...be sure to practice changing flats on the back wheel too!
You don't remember me but I was sitting at the cq desk one of the last few days you were out processing fort hood. Congrats on 300k and good luck on the race!
I was always passed out on cq and staff duty 😅
Notice how he's talking almost normal after and during that 1 hr run. Amazing.
What's almost normal? 😂
Chloe Jane you know he’s not running very fast
His jogging lol running will leave him gasping for air.
Ian Alderson then you do that and talk without breathing heavier on his speed
@@oaktree1232 i could very easily
The song when he’s running on the treadmill is Back Up - The Siege
So damn good.
thanks,
Thanks man!
Congrats on 300K! You motivated me to start running and i did 3 ultramarathon trails in the last 3 months :) Thanks for the motivation! #staystrong
wow nice work!
@@DearSoldierGP Thanks!
Why didn't you film it? That's crazy good. Next goggins over here
@@ianalderson5133 well I don't know I got a few photos from the last one but I will probably film, my transformation soon 😊 Thanks!
Single digits! You've got this! This series has been great
Just what I needed! I'm training for my first marathon and seriously lacking motivation today, when I see how hard you're getting after it, it pushes me to get off my ass! Good luck for next week, you've got this!!
Can’t wait to see how the race goes Nick. Your training has been awesome to follow. Just wondering, have you watched game changers yet? Would be interested in your thoughts on it.
Your journey has been so incredibly inspiring. I just started doing sprint tris this summer & hoping to work my way up to the Olympic distance. Best wishes on your race
Shout out to Tony and his boys 🇺🇸
Love the honesty over this journey Nick, the dedication, positive attitude and f*ing hard work has been awesome to see. Next up has to be an ULTRA right!??????
Nordictrack: Where should we drop off this treadmill?
Nick: Facing that cement wall is perfect
Garrick Loewen 😂
You have motivated me in so many ways by watching your videos. We have very similar backgrounds and considering I'm training for my 2nd Ironman Race in DEC I understand what your about to endure! Keep focused and enjoy the moment the hard work was put in by you brother! Excited for you!!
Great videos Nick! Best of luck in the ironman. I'm planning on doing my first full Ironman next year and I'm thinking to do the same one you're doing, as it sounds like a decently flat course and hopefully not too hot. Keep up the good work.
Great content! You sir are an inspiring individual. Congrats to you and the success. I've reallly enjoyed watching your journey training for the Ironman. Best of luck in Florida!
The coolest part about marathon training is how fast my heart rate drops after completing hour plus long runs. 165 down to 110 or under within forty seconds. Reminded me of that as soon as Nick got off the treadmill after an hour and wasn’t gasping for breath or anything. It’s insane how strong the human body can become
Well done Nick..have been watching you from day 1..love your attitude and your humble nature..ur gonna smash that Ironman..ill be doin a shorter one in south australia but will track you on the ironman tracker x best of luck young man xx and to lovely stef supporting x
Been watching your videos from the start and I really hope you enjoy the Ironman and have a great day. When you get to the red carpet, don’t worry about the time, slow down and embrace the crowds and your achievement - it’s a magical moment. All the best Nick 💪🇬🇧
That’s awesome man, impacting people overseas through something as little as a program. Keep up the work brother, God bless
Nick, love the channel been following along enjoying the content. would you be able to go through some of the mobility/recovery work you've been doing during this training to stay injury free.
Been watching yours and Preston's channels for years now. Really been enjoying this Ironman series. I wish you good luck at the event and keep up the great work. 👍👍
So inspiring!!! You got this man !!! 💪🏼 💯
Great series of videos. Thanks for taking us along with you👍
You’re so composed after your hour run! That is awesome! I strive to be able to do that, one step at a time!
Cool story about Tony. Keep the motivation pure!
Stick to your nutrition plan!
I varied from mine during Ironman Louisville a few weeks back- would have been faster had I stuck to what I'd trained with.
bro this has been a really good series! really enjoyed it and best of luck! you're gonna crush it!
so exited to see how you do in this race man
Hey Nick I don't have an Instagram, but I do follow you on CZcams. I only recently subscribed and the more I see what you are doing the more excited I get; because you are training for different events yet you are still living your life. I want to run a marathon in the spring and then an ultra-marathon in the fall!😁
YO Congrats on 300K, and future congrats on the ironman. Keep the grind up man.
I’m watching this video a year later and have watched many of your videos lately. You are a true inspiration!!!!
Mad respect bro. Tear it up!
can't wait to see the race! been watching the whole journey :D
Coming to PCB!! Heck yeah! It's been getting a little cooler here the last week. Best of luck! Love your vids!
Loved the end! HOOAH! Crush that Iron Man.
Hey Nick, love your vids! I was wondering what your time for a 5k race would be?
Finaly some wheels !! As a cyclist I was thinking there is no way you do your Ironman on some cheap low profil wheel.
last minute equipment change is not usually recommended though before an event. Like running with new shoes bought a week before the race. If there are high cross winds he doesn't have experience with those rims, changing a flat requires tubes with longer valve stems which you need to be ready for, etc etc.
@@marc_aussie True, but I wouldn't compare this to shoes tho. He still got 1 week to get comfortable with these. Actually, the thing he should had bought a while ago is a good aero helmet, you get more speed and watts saving from this than aero wheel.
You're going to kill this Ironman I wish I could watch it live!
I'm training for my second half marathon I'm shooting to cut 10 minutes from my run!
Great video! Congratulations on 300K
This series alone gets me up from the couch.
Bro your shredded .. you are really stepping outside the box here with the iron man. Many thanks for sharing your journey
Good luck on the race! You’ll do great!
Wow... Powerful story at the end. Got me a bit choked up TBH... Thanks for sharing!
Good job on picking up the Zipps wheels, best upgrade for the bike and noticable difference!
Have been following the ironman series since it started! best of luck!
We all appreciate the consistent, awesome content!!
Looking forward to seeing his first (and likely only) Ironman. Would be awesome if he qualified for Kona 2020, and picked up again next year for that.
Wish you all the best for the iron trail! most important is that you should relax your mind, don't think what comes next first deal with swimming, then what follows. don't spend energy in thinking on obsticles
With the new wheels make sure you get carbon brake pads put on your bike. Also in your spare kit you will need inner tubes with long valves or a valve extender in case you get a flat.
Got chills listening to that letter. You got this Nick, keep up the good work 💪🏻
Good on getting the Zipp wheels. Word of caution... the wind will pick up later in the day and will push you around with the deep wheels. Try them out.
Nick & Preston Stay Strong Hoo-ah! ! !
I’m not from the us or anything but I do go to school here and hope to live here one day. Thank you to Tony, Nick, and all of the other veterans out there for their service that has allowed me to get an education here, and allowed me the opportunity to put in hard work to find myself a spot in the greatest country on earth. 🇺🇸
@wolfhunter thanks for your great comment but how are you so sure they are not glue on tyres, just out of curiosity. Zipp 808, especially the nsw model have a glue on!
What is your stretching routine before/after workouts and at any other times of day. Would be really curious to know as my cardio always kills the calf muscles
Those Zipp wheels look seriously fast. Please talk about them in your next ride, are you faster and so on.
Congrats on 300k! Been here since right before you left for Seoul!
Amazing letter from Tony. So excited for you for Ironman!
Been following you all the way from the Caribbean bro, i got this budd wohoo go kick some ass
Hey Nick thanks for your inspiration. Walking every day to lower my weight. Goal is to lose 100 pounds within the year. I don’t have Instagram but I would love that watch.
Love the vids man, good luck!
It's really noticeable how Much more ripped he looks with less mass,
He looks so fucking good now
300K WOOOHOOOO! Next up 500K then 1M!
Damm good tunes man! And love the story!
Wish you all the best for your ironman mate !
Don't forget to buy some valve extenders for your spare tubes, and make sure the tubes have a removable tip!
Another good video. Where can we get a camo BPN hoodie??
This dude needs more subs, top lad
Go get em Nick! You got this.
Amazing love from Ireland 🇨🇮🇺🇸
Super pumped for you!!!
Good Luck on the Ironman!!!! Also will you be live while you are doing it?
you can track him on Ironman.com athlete tracker but you're not allowed to take any type of phone, camera, music or anything during an IM race.
You should get someone to hand you that flag as you enter the finish shoot at the race so you can run the last little bit, and through the finish line with it.
$2500 race wheels, nbd.
Make sure you know how to change a flat and have the proper tools, i.e. valve extenders.
Also, do you have an aero helmet? That is free watts for less cost but hard to switch out week before the race.
I would personally asked around to borrow a powermeter for the bike first.
Will you try film when you do iron-man please only if you can. Im currently training for next year's one in new Zealand 👍
Nick I think it’d be really cool if you showed us your three big lift maxes after the iron man. And just talk some more about how cardio training can affect your overall strength?
Hey nick! Which Hoka ones you rockin again??
Do you listen to anything while you run? Most difficult for me is to stay ingaged during running, esp treadmill running.
Roll on the Ironman!!! Best of Luck from Ireland🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪☘️Is it ok to follow your race on the IRONMAN TRACKER????
How did you get the technique for swimming down? Who taught you or how did you learn?
I just commented in the insta post nick! Big fan keep up the good work
Legend says he can run across the globe and still keep going with the conversation
running inside brings safety, saves time, and creates precision in training 🏃🏃👌👌
Yea, running an hour inside takes way less time than running an hour outside. Ha! Wow....!
'I cant wait to get down there and get my ass kicked' xD
That's awesome but sadly I dont have (and dont want) Instagram. But best of luck to everyone! Best of luck with your ironmam, keep Tony and all of us mind mind that were behind you!! Be safe and God bless!
I can not believe that you are this close to your Ironman. I am going to place my order this weekend for strong greens and strong reds.
Sick bike tires Nick
How do you compare increasing in cardio and stamina compared to running outside verses the treadmill? (Anyone can answer, thanks)
Almost here Nick finish strong brother!
“Nec aspera terrent”
Can't wait to see this Ironman holy shit brother you're getting me fired up man! You should try to get on the Team Never Quit podcast.
I bet the nine was really a upside down six... crazy special effects trickery!
the equipoise is dialed in bro! great foot strike running, but dont bring your arms across your body. good luck
Had to get rid of my instagram because of law school admissions, anyway you can add another way to enter? Training for an ultra.
Hello! Can you tell me what model and company is your watch?
Mr. Bare, is there anyway you could post a list of all the music you use in your videos?
what is the workout programme software you use?
when are you guys planning on putting strong greens back in stock ?
you will need valves extenders if you flat (and you must know how to use them)
Good luck Nick!
do a physique competition post ironman!!!!
Do you think making a change to your bike, like adding new wheels will affect your performance on the bike?
