    Nick you may want to raise the seat of the bike a little higher to have the leg extend a little more. You can always ask the bike guy about this. Just an observation.

    Look into Zwift for indoor training on the bike. Might need to upgrade speed sensor/trainer though.
    Night and day difference and challenge.

    Just did my first ever Murph!! Completed it in 45 mins and 57 secs(goal was 45 mins so pissed about that). I definitely shouldve and couldve pushed the pace more on my first mile, but i learned from my mistakes and will try it again in a month. Thanks for the inspiration Nick!!

    Spin to win on the cadence mate! Great work on picking up the cleats, focus on pedalling in circles make sure you're pulling up on the pedals as well as pushing down

    Hi Nick ,
    You should look at getting a proper bike fit. Your knees are fighting for space with your hips. Also, a quick way of getting additional speed is investing in some deep dish wheels. Bontrager or Zipp, look em up. Love the channel , big fan

    Love that you want to make a nutritious bar not many are! Idk if you have seen but Kris Gethin has a book out about how he trained for the Ironman while still lifting. It’s really good. I’m using it to help me train for a tough mudder and spartan while maintaining my lifting and adding in runs

    Interesting in the technique for the bike. That posture you need to take seems hard on the back, but I suppose that’s the most streamlined way to ride as well. Good thing you seem to enjoy the biking, 100 miles of it will be easier that way!

    You may want to look into buoyancy shorts for swimming. Works great for training. Helps your technique when doing long swims. Plus its not a full wet suit so you are not really hot.

    Hey Nick, your position on the bike right now is pretty rough. I know you're just getting into road cycling, but I'd say watch this video below. Right now, you've got too much knee bend (your seat needs to be higher), and you've got too little arm bend (your want your arms at a 90 degree angle on the bars). Part of this is getting more comfortable and almost rotating on your pelvis forward, so you're less on your butt, more on the front, and second is getting better flexibility.

    Would love to see a protein bar that has 20-25g of whey protein, small amount of sugar (>5g), minimal carbs, minimal fiber and no sugar alcohol? Feels like it would be like constructing the 6 million dollar man

    How does lifting heavy weights benifit you in a iron man comp. I'm down 35lbs singing up for my first half iron man soon and going to start ramping up my training.

    When you say too much fiber, what ranges are you talking about? I personally stick with Quest bars since it's 15g and that's a pretty good amount. I generally avoid protein bars with little to no fiber. Curious to try BPN's line.

    advice when on the trainer spend as much time in the aerobars because you will want to be in that position on race day,.... sprinting, recovering etc... stay aero and even drink in that position

    Bike seat is a tad too low. Might cause some trouble on your Achilles. Also, with clipless pedals think of getting a full rotation and pull at the bottom of the stroke with your hamstrings. You are mashing too much with your quads.

    Nick what is the size of your bike vs your height
    I was fitted for a trek Madone size 58 vs my height of 6ft yet my training bike 54 was a tight fit but super maneuverable. Also for meals before training, I do 5 eggs with completely runny yellows and 1 cup of oatmeal

      I’m a little under 6 foot and a 56 is just on the edge of being too small for me, so I would have to guess that a 58 would be what you need

    Honestly give it a go on a aero road bike rather than using aero bars... you can create much more power with your massive legs..you are not going to be 'aero' anyways with torso like this even when using aero bars

    Idk if anyone In the comment section or nick could answer this but I’ve trying to get my 3 mile run up to 19 min ( currently 20:30 average) and I’ve been running my ass off trying to get every mile at 6 or so minutes, I’ve been doing this for 3 weeks and it fucking sucks, everyday I’m soar (still get the 6 min average) but it seems like my body can’t adapt, I feel like the first time I ran it but everyday, I was wondering if anyone had some advice for me on what Im maybe doing wrong?
