- In this video I am opening up Nickelodeon All Grown Up! The Collector's Set on DVD. This is a region 4 Australian DVD release that I picked up from a private party seller on Amazon in the USA. This show has not seen a complete series or season set release in the USA, so this is a good option if you want it in the USA. For me, the discs seem to play fine in my player despite supposedly being region 4.

Im from australia myself and can say they are real and not bootlegs its getting released here over the next couple of weeks of i think ive got all the seasons myself when they first released them now there doing a new lot with a box and quite a couple of other titles in the Nickelodeon series.

Does the Season 1 DVD include the very start of every episode? Like for example, the very start of "Bad Kimi" where Z explodes the grapefruit onto Chuckie before the opening song. The first scene and opening song were not included in the original DVD releases of the episodes Bad Kimi, Coup Deville, Chuckie's In Love, Tommy Foolery, The Old And The Restless, Tweenage Tycoons, Truth Or Consequences and Thief Encounter.

@@chongoistheman9899 They Were Actually Originally Released In Seperate Cases. But All They Did Was Put Seasons 1&2 In One Case And The Rest By Themselves. But I Agree, It Would've Been Better If They've Done That
A vast majority of Beyond DVD releases are region free which is why I suggested releases from them. Authentic real print & cheaper than MOD

Seems almost like a shout factory release. If Rugrats on dvd continues to sell well, then hopefully paramount or shout would release a North American version.

5:04 It's says NTSC, it should have been a Region 1 release in Australia. That is why I hate the region codes for DVD.
A friend I have on social media stated she purchased one of the individual seasons and despite it saying it was region 4, it still played on her dvd player. I Also noticed it said NTSC on the discs. So if it is indeed region free, it will play just fine for being encoded in NTSC
The late singer Aaliyah, I have the german version of her greatest hits album "I care 4 U". It has a dvd of videos. it's a region free disc. but because it's encoded in PAL, I can only watch it on vlc player on my computer.

Just letting you know i am an Australian and the set is 100% real, they sell it at my local JB-HI-FI (Australian Walmart)
I don't think Amazon is doing MODs of Nick shows anymore. There haven't been any new ones since 2015.
If that is the case all we can hope is that Paramount and Shout! Factory steps up and re releases the stuff that has not been released any other way, including shows only available as Best Ofs including Jimmy Neutron.

Nstc is the encoding that North America uses. The Pal encoding is the is the more region locked type of content
Just found out the seasons of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius are also released by Beyond Home Entertainment
Maybe he could get those sets eventually, since the only Jimmy Neutron releases available here for right now beyond compilation DVDs are those CreateSpace "Best Of" collections released by Amazon back in 2008 or so. Why they haven't yet released complete seasons or even a series set is beyond me, as it would stink for those who want to get the entire thing only to have half of all the episodes.
If you ask me those "Best Of" sets are a waste of time and money, for if i do eventually get the show in the future i actually want to have all of them and not just parts of the seasons.

I see that. But unfortunately I'm not sure where to buy those from. I don't see them on amazon or ebay so it would be more difficult and expensive to get ahold of. But I would buy it if I found it for a reasonable price somewhere.

Wow! I always wondered why there's never been a complete series release for All Grown Up I didn't know Australia had a release. I have one of the DVDS with just a few episodes but its ok I streamed most of the episodes on amazon. I love this show!
Australia really was the place to go for AGU, because they released all the episodes first back in 2006 and those affiliate airings were posted rot CZcams before being taken down in 2007 for Viacom's lawsuit.
Additionally, there was just a lot of banter with the sole fact that episodes had been withheld for all that time.

Yako Torres He can't right now because he's in New Hampshire and part of his Nick DVDs are in his current apartment and part of them are in a storage unit in Minnesota. He should be back in Minnesota next year and hopefully he can do an update video on his Nick collection then.

Seasons 1&2 were actually originally released separately. They just put them together for this set

By the way, I'm from Australia so I know the Australian classifications and all that on DVDs, Video Games, etc. It's slightly different to the US classifications. So if you have any questions in terms of Australian classifications or something, you can just ask me. Or you can just look through Wikipedia.

Considering the fact that Paramount is releasing 2 Rugrats seasons every 9 months, this is what I predict to be the future schedule:
November 2018: Rugrats Seasons 5 & 6
August 2019: Rugrats Seasons 7 & 8
May 2020: Rugrats Season 9 & All Grown Up Season 1
February 2021: All Grown Up Seasons 2 & 3
November 2021: All Grown Up Seasons 4 & 5
Your wrong I think they might have stopped making them just beacuse of the two boxsets but that's my opinion

J, PS3 plays region free discs but not PAL and those discs seem like R4 NTSC so it would've played nayway but not a Region 1 NTSC player. You would need a region free player but you wouldn't have to worry about PAL/NTSC if it's the same as the player.
Yeah, I tried putting an Australia DVD in my North American PS3 system and it said that it could not read discs from the PAL Region.
Region 2 is mostly Europe and they use PAL but Japan uses both so you see Region 2 NTSC, Region 4 is mostly half PAL and half NTSC. Region 3 is NTSC, not sure about Region 5 but Region 6 (China) is NTSC.
Yeah, I wish I had more devices to test these on. I tried on my PC drive and they played fine. I don't have any standalone DVD players handy though.

I'm not quite sure, 360 doesn't use Blu-rays because they're Sony''s and also don't use DVD but I will say Region 1 NTSC DVD only.
It seems that the drives of the game consoles such as the PS4 can play DVDs from other regions as they are region free equipped i believe, now as far as a regular R1 player goes i am not sure if those discs will play on one or not.
Still, good that you at least have the series in lieu of a release here.

All Grown Up should of ran from 2003-2016. Then in 2,015 we should of received a Back Door Pilot for the next TV Series.

I’m Australian and I have this and all of Rugrats I had no idea that you can Only get all grown up in Australia i Would have thought that Because nickelodeon is American so you could get all the nickelodeon shows on dvd?

Have you watched all the episodes included in the set? If so, did you notice certain episodes looking like they were in lower quality than other episodes. I bought the set recently, and the earlier episodes of the series look perfect. But by the 5th season, the outlines of the characters and backgrounds look noticeably pixelated for some reason. I don't think the set is a bootleg since nothing seems off about the DVDs and packaging, so did they just use bad quality prints of the later episodes?
Haven't watched them all, so I haven't noticed. I've seen another comment suggesting it may be a bootleg for similar reasons. But it could just be that the company that made these just didn't use good prints. I'm not sure.
@@JsBluRays I see. Still, I can't believe how bad the problem would get in some episodes (sometimes it would cause background characters to look like jumbled pixels). And to think some people say Amazon's DVD-Rs of Nick shows look bad. I always thought they looked decent giving the quality of the discs, and I'd say they look like Shout Factory quality compared to the episodes in this set that were affected by the issue.
I think I'm just going to return the set and buy the series on Amazon Video (since it at least has all the episodes unlike other Nick shows).
shnick1990 I do notice the animation quality looks cheaper in the later seasons when I watched them not on dvd.

this is a pirated copy. I ordered one for Christmas and the season 1 & 2 dvd case has extra plastic that wasn't cut properly when they were making it. Also, the season 1 & 2 case says 2018 release when all the other seasons 3,4, and 5 say 2015 release. Not sure about this but it does the first and second case are over 11 hours when the other dvds say minutes. When I watched an episode it has a green line on the left of the episode, meaning they downloaded it from a streaming website.

in season 1 episode 1, you can see that the black square around the video is off and in episode 2 it's a different format. Season 1 episode 2 if you're facing your tv it's on the left side there's a green line
Seasons 1 & 2 were sold as separate seasons, the 2018 boxset they put the 2 seasons together.

I think the OG fat PS3 with backwards compatibility to PS2 games was region so finding a system like that is probably hard to come by

He clearly said near the end that the discs played just fine in his PS3 as they are capable, also what's it to you that he bought it because he can spend his money on whatever he likes. If J watched this show when he was younger he obviously has got some interest in it since he has the other Rugrats stuff on DVD.
