- Here's an unboxing of the long-awaited release of The Rugrats: The Complete Series on DVD from Nickelodeon and Paramount. Hitting store shelves on May 18, 2021, this release provides a pretty affordable way to get the entire series in one purchase, and this release is one that many people have been asking for for many years. I highly recommend picking it up if you are a Rugrats fan, a Nickelodeon fan, or even just an animation fan in general. The more people that buy DVD releases like this, the more likely it will be that Paramount may release similar styles of releases of other classic shows. Despite all that's been released both from Paramount and Shout! Factory for classic Nickelodeon content, there's still a lot more out there that would be awesome to have as an official and final release. A few random examples include The Fairly OddParents, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Chalk Zone, Doug, and Kenan & Kel. So get out there and pick this up if you can...It's a pretty awesome release!

I did the math and it would take almost 3 days straight with zero breaks to watch the whole series from beginning to end, that is a lot of content
Rugrats is a total masterpiece!!! I super adore this show with a burning passion!!! It's one of my favorite shows of all-time and that's never gonna change!!! 😊❤️
The VHS Rugrats are the shit! Orange and full of memories lol
i had decade in diapers on vhs when it came out when i was six. i watched it all the time. i had the one where they go 2 vegas too. now i have the tales from the crib snow white dvd
I was surprised when I found out that they were releasing the complete series. I was still waiting for seasons 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 on single seasons. Glad I finally got it.
Cool I wish I have the complete series on DVD because I’m always a fan of Rugrats in classics and it’s such an awesome series and movies!😮😄🙌🏼🙌🏼
Not gonna lie the opening when he says that da da da da da from the Krusty Krab Training Video from SpongeBob just got me! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I agree.
I'm deaf so I miss alot
Me too.
@@donnellcoleman7784 sorry to hear that
@@donnellcoleman7784 sorry man :(
Wow! I had no idea this was even coming out and never heard it was coming out! I watched this as a kid all the time when Nick was watchable, and now that I'm 29 I may just pick this up myself now!
I’m hoping to get this soon. I’ve been waiting for a complete series set so bad for this show.
Update: Just ordered this set on the Walmart site.
Wow, thank you so very much for this informative video, J. I really appreciate the effort you put into this video to compare this collection with other releases. I am a big Rugrats fan, and I just ordered this series, thanks to you for the information. Happy Easter.
I hate the disc stacking. The disc get scratched most of the time and they are hard to get out. But im glad that this is out.
The Tales from the Crib specials could be considered special features, but the other three are simply double-length episodes.
I actually ordered the dvd from Amazon and it’s coming in Tuesday
And it did came on Tuesday
OK, you just pulled a LegoLover117 with that opening gag! XD
I heard about the Rugrats 2021 reboot, but 1991 to 2004 is the only REAL Rugrats to me.
The only Rugrats series that was made prior to 2021 that I dislike is Rugrats Pre-School Daze.
@@spongebobrocks125 Yeah and that spin-off was very short-lived as well.
Even then, I don't hate Rugrats Pre-School Daze, I just find Rugrats and All Grown Up! better.
Rugrats and all grown up are actually better than preschool daze
The reason why some of the mod dvds used more discs than paramount like seasons 1, 3 and 6 is because amazon used single layered dvd-r's and paramount used dual layered
Would be cool to see a "DELUXE" version of the release with better packaging and art print on the disks
Absolutely agree. I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
Wooo! Totally buyin this over the weekend!
Picked this up at wal mart because my season 1 of rugrats had huge issues of skipping on the 3 discs.I hope they added rugrats vacation on one of the discs.
Really looking forward to getting my preorder from Amazon. It says Monday but hopefully sooner. Thank you for the video, loved it.
Great unboxing J's Blu rays
I am so buying this because of childhood and nostalgia
Bad packing good luck
They easily run out of stock though, smh.
@@senorpedrosrooster i am still gonna find it anyways
(leaves to Walmart)
Just hope it's in dvd format and not dvd-r I hope that release this in blu ray quality but I'm asking for to much now
I wish they did a better job on the packaging or in fact even though an HD transfer wouldn't have probably been possible a nice blu-ray release that would require would have been perfect. However I'm not buying it because of Childhood or Nostalgia. I have no shame in saying I just love this show even today.
The SpongeBob opening tho LOLLLLL
Oh wow, I didn’t know All Grown Up was on dvd. I really hope they release it here.
Happy 30th anniversary in August
I already had the individual seasons 1 to 4 dvd sets of this show so I'm fine getting the complete series set for now😁😄
My copy is expected to arrive from Amazon on Thursday. Originally, it was supposed to come on May 31st, but it's coming early.
Mine is coming this Thursday also.
I have all three Rugrats movies in one DVD.
@Brandon's Movie Corner Okay You Did Preorder That DVD A Few Weeks Ago?
@@daleadams6947 I pre-ordered it in March.
@@brandonsmoviecorner1578 Okay!
While I'm not a fan of the packaging, I do plan on picking this up next time I'm at the store.
My only other gripe is the lack of an episode guide telling you which episodes are included on each disc. Guess that means I'll have to make one myself. -_-
Quick question: are the discs for seasons 1-4 the same as their individual DVD releases that Paramount put out in 2017 and 2018? It looks like it’s the case, but I’m not completely sure.
He says later in the video that it is most likely the same discs as the individual season releases for 1-4. However, the Tales from the Crib DVDs with special features are not included on this collection.
I can't wait to get it
@benjichilders But, didn't the show have 2 eleven minute segments for 1 22 minute episode?
@benjichilders How does that even happen!?
@@CosmicSponge2004 I know right! Very unprofessional, I can't believe such a dumb mistake would be made, and it's sad so many people are buying this thing with that error. This is stopping me from purchasing, and I want to leave a bad review, but I don't know if I can since I didn't buy it.
Changes from the Amazon DVDs:
1. "Angelica Nose Best / The Pirate Light" is moved from the end of season 4 to the start of season 5.
2. The final 5 half-hour episodes of season 5 are moved to the start of season 6. Season 5 now ends at "The Family Tree", which makes sense as that's the last episode before Dil shows up.
3. Season 6 now ends at "Runaway Reptar". The remaining 13 episodes are now all considered Season 7.
4. All of Season 7 on the Amazon DVDs are now considered Season 8.
5. All of Seasons 8 and 9 on the Amazon DVDs are now considered together as Season 9.
Thank you!
Yeah, I heard the Paramount releases have a weird episode order in later seasons. Still includes every episode though in some kind of order.
@@andykishore seems like it is a total mess because of difference with broadcasting order release and production order release? It is all so confusing!
Can you please make a episode list due to this edition? Thanks
This was a common thing because Nick was infamous for extending season orders. S6 was originally given 20 episodes and then that was given 13 more and then years later, that production block was occasionally split in half and then released as two distinct seasons.
This was more known with icarly and victorious.
It's hard to believe it's been 3+ years since this was released. One of the most hoped for and biggest DVD releases of all time for me. I am still hoping for an All Grown Up (US/R1) set someday, but I at least have the region free set that was released in Australia. I didn't have confidence it would ever get released here so I got it from Amazon when it was still available. I should've got that Captain Planet set they had too. It might never get beyond the season 1 release here. The complete series set is unaffordable now.
Preparing the Krabby Patty!
Boy! It’s Krusty Krab Training Video reference!
very cool unboxing
Kinda hope we get more dvd releases like this
The Fairly OddParents: The Complete Series is one I would want the most, but I would also want The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius: The Complete Series and Bunsen Is A Beast: The Complete Series.
@@spongebobrocks125 Yes I wouldn't care if it was a dvd release sure a blu-ray would be better but I'd take anything at this point
Same here. I bought this on Amazon and I'm waiting for my copy as well. Kind of sucks it doesn't have the pilot on the set. I really hope if this sells well, maybe we'll see more complete series of Nick shows, let alone Nicktoons. Hopefully we'll see Doug this year since it's the 30th anniversary of the show along with Rugrats and Ren & Stimpy.
Packing need improvement
@@CyberPhoenix1989 Doug complete series is out of print
It's Time For The Moment You've Been Waiting For!
Just got it now at "Book-Off" for only $22 in mint condition! Excellent deal compare to most places around and yes, the packaging case is still a problem. But at least I got it to join with my other "Rugrats" DVDs and VHS tapes.
I get mine next week I’m pumped
Several months ago maybe in September I was at target with some friends and we were talking in the DVD section and I saw Rugrats the complete series including all seasons seasons 1-9
Thank You Paramount!
great breakdown
Well, this is certainly good for those who didn't buy the Amazon MOD or individual season sets of Seasons 1-4 that Paramount did a while back which were the pre-Rugrats Movie/Dil seasons. Now all of the regular series episodes are available in one convenient set.
Does it still have the issue with the opening/credits appearing for each 11 minute segment for Seasons 1 and 2, as well as the Season 2 episode “Regarding Stuie” (which I hate by the way) being on the Season 6 DVD? I want to know because that's preventing me from buying the collection.
It sucks since this packaging could’ve been avoided! Paramount has released a 26 disc set before with the removable overlapped flippers they used back then. If you guys want to, The Wild Wild West complete series has a 26 disc packaging that doesn’t have the stacked discs packaging. I have no idea if the dvd case will fit the slipcover but if you guys want you could purchase that dvd set to replace the case if you want to.
I Have Finally Got That DVD of The Complete Series of The Rugrats at Walmart On September 23rd of That Year In 2022! So Happy To Have It For My Collection Now! 💖😁💖
rugrats is finally back in 2021.
I got that DVD back in January of this year. It was the only copy that was in my local Walmart. It didn't have the slip cover. Oh well. What's the big deal? BY the way, I love the intro!
26:23 I think its understandable why they didn't include the trilogy in the collection because the third movie is also both a crossover with the wild thornberrys as well as being a sequel to the wild thornberrys movie.
Nickelodeon And Paramount Forgot To Put This Complete Series On Blu-Ray Along With This!
at least we are finally getting it
Its does not do blu-ray stuff it's rare if we do
I might grab this just so I'll have this.
I got that dvd set as well! Its awesome! Also you actually can get the complete series of chalkzone. There was an official release.
He made a separate video of ChalkZone: The Complete Series DVD.
I'm so excited mine says it will be here by the weekend..... soooo cool I can't believe it!!!! I have a small Rugrats collection and almost all the nicktions complete series I just need 2 more I don't care for rent and stumpy so much but the others are great!!!
ren and stimpy was the best nick toon of them all.
Now all that needs to come out is All grown up!!
I bought mine and I'm getting it Sunday. 😊😃
@J's Blu-Rays Very Funny On How You Did The Da Da Da Dum Dum Dum On The SpongeBob Episode Krusty Krab Training Video Ha Ha Ha LOL!!! 😂 But I Will Definitely Buy This DVD Whenever Possible!
Nice SpongeBob reference at 0:00
Weird release, I would’ve released a big collectors set with all of the shorts, pilot, and preschool daze and a bunch of bonus features on a separate disc, the complete series of Rugrats and all grown up, and the tales from the crib movies and the trilogy movie collection.
This is paramount and Viacom
It doesn't own all grown up & that already release on dvd & this is rugrats complete series 3rd time
Got to be patient they will probably release all grown up to on dvd and the rest of the bonus episodes
Does anybody know if the controversial episodes have been edited or not? Knowing Viacom they might have changed stuff up to appease the Karens.
Just got around to watching my discs and was a little confused to find many episodes arranged out of production order and even some episodes from earlier seasons showing up on later seasons discs. For instance, roughly 10 episodes or so from the back half of season 6 take up half of season 7’s and season 7’s episodes play on the season 8 discs and the entirety of season 8 is bundled with season 9. iMDB seems to have the most reliable order so that’s what I go by.
As long as they're all there, that's really what matters, but it's unfortunate that some are out of order.
Hello @J’sBlu-Rays I just got this set and I don’t want to damage it where exactly do you place each disc since my discs were out of order. Thank you.
0:00 It's time for the moment you've been waiting for!
The way the discs are stacked, I have a set that has the exact same style! I find it really annoying! (But I don't mind too much)
00:26 vocie breck
Are the special features on a separate disc, or are they spread among the discs?
I have this, I'm having a lot of trouble with what spots to put the dvds in.
Just in time for "Rugrats" 30th anniversary.
I got mine used at my local Game X Change for around 30 bucks or so. The only downside is that the packaging was slightly damaged but nothing major.
The reboot series is on Paramount + and 7 episodes are made and haven't got good ratings
The Rugrats "Vaction" Episode is usually left out on the dvd releases of Rugrats so I wonder if it's included in here
It is 🙂
They Finally Released the Complete Series Box Set .. I’ll be getting this from Amazon… The Rugrats Reboot is Exclusive to Paramount+
I have 5 box sets like that. Hey Arnold: The Ultimate Collection, Beavis and Butt-Head: The Complete Collection, American Horror Story Seasons 1-7, Oz: The Complete Series & Trailer Park Boys Seasons 1-9
Nice Miley the Funny CZcamsr 2!
Do they have it at Walmart
it's on their website last I checked for 50.... Amazon has it too!
@@breakingpoint3893 I ordered mine from amazon
Just wondering has fairly odd parents ever gotten a full series box set? Thanks
Id love to have this.
STACKED. Had a feeling. Good thing I have two copies but this is a downer for everyone else, they’re going to easily get scratches. All the more reason to release them on scratch resistant blu-rays, even if they are HD upscales (eg Avatar).
And I assume seasons 1-4 are the exact same as the retail release from 2017-2018?
And if so, are those dvds fixed with removing credits after every 1st segment ?
I would love to get this set even though I'm not too fond on the packaging! Typical Paramount! At least we get the remaining seasons included.
I ordered mine from Amazon about a while ago. The case came damaged and the slip is slightly ripped. Gonna have to order a new one
That's a bummer :(
Speaking of the Spongebob intro I wanna buy the next 100 episodes of sponge
I wonder if that'll get a release in the UK.
I don’t know if they have released on Blu-Ray before, but will you be getting the Rugrats Movie Trilogy on Blu-Ray? It releases March 8
Yup!!
The only thing I can give for an explanation is that indeed the episodes are out of order on the old amazon releases as Chuckie's Duckling is supposed the be the first episode Dil appears in post movie. The Family Tree episode is the last of Season 5 as it announces that Didi is pregnant by the end of it.
I think I'm asking my grandpa to get me this DVD for Christmas this year
Just got this for christmas from grandpa a couple of days ago on Christmas Day
NO WAY! I am SO buying that when i get paid
Bad packing
Where can you buy this? I couldn't find it at Target.
Amazon for $40 approximately
I'm really glad that we finally have the complete series of Rugrats on DVD after all these years. Now Rugrats can join the likes of Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold!, Avatar, and SpongeBob as complete series releases from Paramount of Nickelodeon shows, along with all of Shout Factory's releases. Here's hoping Jimmy Neutron is next on the list for a complete set!
SpongeBob is not complete on DVD. That show is still airing.
@jason voorhees Too many to name.
I really wish they would've added disc art at least put the characters on the disc art
So Excited They Released This Its A Little price But Consider How Man Seasons Its Not
Price will drop always does
@@donnellcoleman7784 That BE Cool But I can See Scalpers Buying It Out
All Grown up is on season 8 disc
So this is a USA release version of the DVD between the collector edition one?
Yes, this is a Region 1/American release.
@@andykishore thanks
@J's Blu-rays when is Paramount going to announce All Grown Up - The Complete Series on Blu-ray and comes with the pilot episode of Rugrats in the special features along with the others from Decade in Diapers?
I wouldn't get your hopes up for that. I'd be surprised if something like that ever gets released. But you never know...I'd be one of the first to buy it if it did come out!
i just turned 27 last month on the 22 & got this 4 christmas!
A baby's gotta do what a baby's gotta do!
Or having Case 1 with 12 discs (Seasons 1-4) , Case 2 with 10 discs Case (Seasons 5-8), and Case 3 with 4 discs (Season 9)
i wish there was alot of cartoon networks shows with complete series like edd ed n eddy
Whats the diffrence between this and the complete series release from beyond home entertainment thats region free i have that one
I'm not sure. Anyone else know?
How long have u had the trilogy movie collection.
Any Scratches?
Without a episode listing or guide, it makes difficult to know which episode is on which disc without putting in the disc in! We can always make one of our own instead of complaining to Paramount about not having one included with the dvd set!
I don't the disc stacking myself, I wish that they put them in three separate cases instead of this big one that they choose! Case 1 includes Discs 1-10 (Seasons 1-3), Case 2 includes Discs 11-20 (Seasons 4-7 + The Rugrats Movie) and Case 3 includes Discs 21-26 (Seasons 8-9 + Rugrats In Paris: The Movie & Rugrats Go Wild!) Each case will be similar to Shout Factory's packaging and the discs will not stacked in them!
My question is, does it include every episode?
It dose it's the complete box set every season and every episode made!!!❤🌹
Preparing the Krabby Patty!
They really should have thrown all these SD episodes on 3 or 4 bluray discs so there's not nearly as many discs (and no scratching).
Absolutely agree. One would think it would be cheaper to produce them that way too, packaging wise, but I don't know.
