- In this video, I show you the complete series of Nickelodeon's Rugrats. You can find each season individually at Amazon.com from their CreateSpace Burn-on-Demand program. They are pretty reasonably priced, though I think the quality could be improved a bit. This video also shows how to get everything Rugrats with the least amount of purchasing as possible. So, if you want the pilot episode, you'll also want to pick up the Decade in Diapers DVD. As for the movies, those can all be purchased individually, but you can also purchase them all in one collection, which is a super good deal! There are also two TV movies that you should get. And regarding All Grown Up!, the Rugrats spinoff...There are currently no complete season sets of that show, but there are some compilation DVDs you can buy if you want to have some of the episodes. I saw the first two seasons of rugrats last time I was at Walmart. I was really shocked and surprised to see it there 'cause rugrats is a 90's Nickelodeon show. You wouldn't think any of the seasons would be sold in any store nowadays!
I used to love watching Nickelodeon's Rugrats on CITV on ITV when I was a little girl back in 2011, the episode was The Big Flush. I am now 11 years old, I miss my childhood.

It’s odd he only said the characters on the DVD’s he only said it with Season 1 season 3 season 5 and season 9 he didn’t say the charecter on season 2 season 4 season 6 season 7 and season 8

Seasons 1-5 of Rugrats are the best of the series, because since Season 6, the series declained.
i got my cousin's 2 year old the whole collection. season 1-5 for his birthday and seasons 6-9 for christmas
The main downside I've found with the burn on demand program is that they seem to make mistakes a little too easily. Like, with season 3, that was actually recalled for a bit because several people, including myself, had an issue where disc 5 was a repeat of disc 4. I'm not sure if that problem happens on other sets or not, or if they fixed it with season 3.

the thing that makes me mad is that people are hating dil because he "bothers" the other kids. bro, he is a baby and he doesn't know any better
To be fair, I do see where both sides are coming from. I mean yes his crying is obnoxious as hell, but in his defense, and as Tomy kept saying to everyone, he's a baby.......though that doesn't make much sense since he and the others are also babies. That being said he was my least favorite aspect of "The Rugrats Movie", because half of that movie was just him screaming his ass off, and it just got old really fast. I don't hate "The Rugrats Movie". As far as Nickelodeon shows that were given the big screen treatment, its pretty decent. That being said I loved "Rugrats in Paris" mainly because it had a more refined and better structured story. Basically here's how I see the "Rugrats" movies.

Has there been any recent announcement that Rugrats will be officially licensed with pressed discs, rather than DVD-R's? It's been a while since these have been out. You'd think someone would of licensed the series by now!

Great video! I remember when these sets first came out a few years back, I'm from the UK so obviously I would of had to import them, the only problem was they were around £30-40 (including shipping) to get them over, so i held off on them hoping that they would get a UK release, that has yet to happen, but Australia have recently released them and they're around the same price as you said, £15-20, so i'm pretty excited to start collecting them. As for the movies we have them all luckily, all grown up was never really my thing but like you, I'll probably pick them up just to have them in the collection!

So I take it you are one of those 90s kids that condisers Rugrats a big part of their childhood.
They seem to be coming down in price on Amazon. I have the first two seasons so far. I really hate though how they choose to stack the DVDs. What I usually end up doing is swapping the case with a multipack DVD .
I recently bought season 3 and found that DVD 4 and 5 were the same with a different label on the disc. I then got a replacement copy but it was the same! I was wondering if you knew anything about this, or if your copy is the same? any help would be really nice as i wish to have the whole season, thanks!
When amazon discontinued these in 2017 paramount made season 1 and 2 and 2018 they made season 3 and season 4 and this year before they went out if print this year paramount made the complete series
Awesome Collection! I have them all too. The 3 movies and 2 specials included. And now that you mention the Pilot Episode, maybe I should get Decades in Diapers as well. Rugrats: All Grown Up on the other hand, honestly, I ain't interested. I prefer the original series better.

Hi. I just began watching my own Amazon copies of Rugrats that I started last Saturday.
I wish that seasons 5-9 would be out in the stores from Parmount.
It's been over two years and no new Rugrats DVD have been into the stores ever since.
I wish so too. Actually, a USA release of the complete series of Rugrats would be awesome. But, it may not happen.

Do you have the same problem that I'm having with Season 3? Discs 4 and 5 are both actually Disc 4. When I put in DIsc 5, it is just a copy of Disc 4. Based on Amazon reviews, I see other people have had this same problem. I contacted Amazon and they sent me a replacement, but the duplicate disc error is still there. Great videos by the way.
+NBASpurs21 No I don't have that problem. Unfortunately these burn on demand sets seem to have little issues like that though, and I've had to exchange a few in my collection for various reasons like a broken case, scratched disc, or the disc not playing properly.

Either that or 4K UltraHD Blu-Ray!
The ONLY Nicktoons that ARE on Blu-Ray as of now are Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend Of Korra!

Paramount remade the first four seasons on DVD.
So the pilot episode, which I assume was the first episode of season one, is not on the season 1 DVD? I've been collecting tvshowsondvd for the past 16 years, and I always hate when they do stuff like that.
The Pilot, I think, is not technically considered as an episode, which is why it probably isn't included on the first season.
The Rugrats Pilot Episode "Tommy Pickles and The Great White Thing" unofficially counts as Season 0.

Just curious if you can play these in your computers disc drive?
I bought these just last week, and am waiting for them to arrive from Amazon.
My initial idea is to be able to copy the files from the burn on demand discs and create some sort of digital back-up. As I assume the lifespan for DVD-R's aren't that long. It'd be pretty disappointing if Amazon has copy protected these discs to the point of no return though...I'd use AnyDVD to bypass the protection.

The Season One discs that I have do not read in my computer's hard drive, while the remaining seasons do. Though, I think I got an older copy of Season 1 when I ordered these, and they may have changed however they are burning the discs now so that you can use them on the computer. I would be interested to hear if your season one that you get works or not on the computer.

More of a kids show but teens can enjoy it. They have the occasional adult joke sprinkled in there.
It's for big kids aged 5-12, similar to Doug, Jimmy Neutron, ChalkZone, and Peter Rabbit.
A nickelodeon cartoon if it’s not a nick jr cartoon will be enjoyed by the youngest age group it says. Basically big kids - until you die which will be very old

Sajjad Ali Burn on Demand means that Amazon sent them to me, but it was Amazon who created them. Basically, they make these products available as people order them rather than making a huge stockpile and shipping them off to stores. That way, if it turns out that an item isn't as popular as they had hoped, they aren't left with an enormous amount of DVDs that nobody is going to buy. I do think, though, that Rugrats would sell very well in the stores, so it's kinda odd that Amazon has this show. They also use DVD-R discs instead of pressed discs, so they are of generally lower quality. Also, these are only available in the United States I think. I looked at the UK site, and like you said, they only have it available for online streaming. So your only option if you want physical copies would be to import them from the US Amazon site, unfortunately.

These dvd releases are from BEYOND HOME ENTERTAINMENT. With these volumes you get episodes that are not supposed to be paired together and also episodes that belong on a certain season are mixed up with episodes from other seasons. These are NOT the official U.S. version release by PARAMOUNT. The PARAMOUNT logo is not on the back cover. The message at the bottom of the back cover states that the discs are meant to play in home dvd players and may not play in dvd recorders or PC drives. Really? The PARAMOUNT plays in all three. This is a sign that these are cheaply duplicated on dvd-r or dvd+r discs
As they should. These volumes should be avoided since the company decided to mix and match titles that don't belong together. One day, VIACOM/PARAMOUNT will release the REAL volumes for seasons 5-9 as they have already for seasons 1-4.
It's anyone's guess as to why it's taking forever to do it.
I purchase seasons 5-9 from this company and I returned them all for the episodes being all mixed up and in the wrong order.
The worst offender was the earlier season 5 release which included two discs that had the same material on it.
Discs 4 and5 were the same. Disc 4 is fine but when you put in disc 5, the same episodes play that were on disc 4.
No telling if THIS was ever fixed. Other reviewers state that theirs were returned for this reason and after being assured that their replacement did not have the duplicate disc problem found that after receiving the replacement, it still did.
That's a company that doesn't check out the problem and address it and fix it
When you look at the back cover, look at the bottom left portion. Look for the PARAMOUNT mountain top logo along with the red circle warning about copy protection. If it doesn't have these pictures, it's not the good stuff.

J i was looking to get season 2 along with season 1 but the user reviews stated that on the season 2 had some issues like it was missing some episodes on one of the discs.Is that true?
HYPNOGLANCE87 I don't think so. Initially, this was released as the 'Best Of Season 2' and that was lame but they have since fixed it so it has all the episodes.

Seasons 5-9, yes, though they are hard to find now. Seasons 1-4 have seen official releases, and it is possible the rest be made available again eventually as well.
You should bye all 3 rugrqts films and the tales of the crib specials on DVD. Then you got the complete series's on dvd

+MMID303 I've heard that a lot of people feel that way. I guess I like some of the newer episodes since they were on when I was a kid still, but I can see your point. The earlier seasons were just more original.
quick question: I understand these sets are made to order off of Amazon so there's no special features, but is there a menu to select episodes then a "play all"option? or dose it start automatically?
There are menus so that you can either choose an episode or play them all in order. They did a pretty good job with them overall, it's just that a more official release might be a bit better.

Are the episodes on the dvds have the intro and credits on each pair of episodes or is it in a "marathon" like style with one intro and one LONG credits sequence like paramount does it?

Well the only one that would be worthwhile would be the Decade in Diapers one. The rest don't have any openings aside from the FBI warnings. But I don't want to do that for copyright reasons anyway...sorry.
