I'm still alive and doing well this night was a big regret and the girl I was with broke my heart I'm lucky to be alive I've never shot heroin in my life and that shit still almost killed me but today I'm sober my heart still hearts from my break up with Kristen but I guess seeing this she really didn't care for me anyway

The last time I ever used hard drugs (about 6years ago now) I had a situation similar to an overdose. I used too much too fast and my heart had a panic attack. My heart rate flew up I started sweating and shaking, couldn’t breathe normally I was hyperventilating. instead of calling for help my “friends” put me in a bathtub turned the shower on and LEFT ME THERE. I then called and scared the ever loving shit out of my poor boyfriend who no idea I was using. He called me an ambulance and that was the last time. They’re not friends. He was a means to an end for her.

I wouldn't be surprised if she really didn't know. I wouldn't be surprised if she did some powder drug and not know what it was. Dope heads aren't known for their excellent long term decisions. Now before every one thinks I'm looking down on them there's a difference between and addict and a dope head. An addict is tragically addicted to drugs and struggles whit it every day. A dope head has no intentions of ever quitting or improving themselves in any way.

Saying he snorted powder would have been a lot better than "we were just drinking" because clearly a little more than alcohol was being passed around. I'm confident that she knew he took something because she was out of it herself. Look at her body language and the way she's speaking. They probably took it together. She certainly lied by saying they only drank alcohol. She never insinuated he may have taken anything.

All this praise and empathy for a drunk driver who damages other people's cars and could have killed someone, could have killed a child in his stupor. All this manpower and equipment that was intended for someone injured in an accident - accident meaning "unexpected, couldn't have been foreseen." Must be painful for the family of someone who had died while waiting for rescue services.
But this outpouring of empathy tells me is that there is hardly anyone left in America who is not abusing drugs. Which is good news for us here in the third world. Maybe we can look forward to a time when America leaves us alone and stops interfering in other people's countries. Even if they continue to send Pelosi and Blinken to interfere, they no longer have the manpower to send armies abroad. The best of them are being employed picking up the pieces of other people's drug experiments.

He doesn't need a girlfriend he needs to deal with his addiction first and foremost. It's almost impossible to get clean with someone who is clearly enabling him and it's even more difficult to find someone who doesn't use drugs while you're also using.

Don't judge before you know the full story. She could have been in shock and not know how to respond or what she could to help!

The compassion shown to Dwayne by this Police officer was amazing. Same with Ambulance service! When there’s a life at risk this officer could have been shouting orders for people to get back, instead he was very firm but respectful even when given disrespect by people close by. Love his phrase of if I was any nicer… haha ! Very much handled with professionalism and heart. We need more Police officers like this. He was even leading other officers respectfully so. Kudos Officer.

He told someone in the ambulance or the cop that he proposed, and she said yes. I wouldn’t want to leave someone I love if they are in that shape! Three months after we were married my husband developed a really bad pneumonia. It broke my heart to leave him so they could send him by ambulance clear across the state from me. Once I got to him the only time I left his room.was to go to the Cafeteria to get something to eat or while he was in surgery. I was a CNA at the time I even got to stay at bedside in ICU.

The fact he crashed was actually a blessing in disguise in the weirdest way because his ‘fiancé’ wasn’t in any rush to help him. I hope this moment is the turning point in his life & he sees this footage to realise he should not be committing to a life with someone who wouldn’t bat an eyelid if he is hurt or worse about to die. Unbelievable. I pray he has a healthy and successful life with his children. The police officer & paramedics did a great job in saving this mans life 🙏🏻

He said he's sober and she broke his heart
I remember when I worked in long term care we had a young man as a resident. I was shocked when I walked into his room and saw someone who looked just as young as me. Found out we were both 25 years old. Needless to say, we became friends. He told me every day about his overdose on c0caine and how he'll forever live with the regret of what he did to himself. His overdose resulted in him having extreme neurological damage, which took his eyesight. He could only see the color red, so every day I wore something red so he could see me in his room. It also made it where he has so much trouble walking and he's unable to keep his balance without support. He would always say if he could, he would let people see what happened to him to hopefully prevent them from doing drugs. Breaks my heart because he's such a good person, but his life is forever changed from that one choice.

Whoever the officer is handling this is absolutely amazing. So many officers can be so mean to drug addicts. I overdosed 7 years ago and had a terrible experience with the officerw they were so mean, I have 6 years clean now and can really appreciate officers like this man. He treated this addict with total care decency and respect.

Not necessarily my ex was doing drugs behind my back for over a year I had absolutely no idea he had started smoking meth snorting meth and doing heroin I was drinking with him at the bar and he would go off in someone's car real quick and I had no idea. Was shocked when I found out. Sometimes people genuinely don't know.
It doesn't matter what she knows or doesn't know. He was almost dead! And she had no fucking reaction. Nothing she acted as if she didn't know him. I give her the benefit of the doubt that MAYBE she didn't know what he did, which I highly doubt. she still had no compassion! she was to calm she was prolly high as hell too not giving a fuck that her man's dieing. I was a addict and I'm clean it really erks me to see shit like this she's the type of person that would just leave someone to die and take there shit. I see right through her bullshit. If someone overdoes in front of you call 911 save there life tell the EMS what they did and how much the person that calls doesn't get in trouble !

99.99% of over doses brought back via narcan wake up pissed their high is gone. They may be happy to be alive, but it's only because they can go get high again.

The girl in the car was super shady. Could you imagine sitting next to someone not knowing if they’ll die and being super chill about it? It seemed extremely odd. Glad he’s okay and hopefully never does drugs again, this could’ve ended really bad.

I’ve OD’d 8 times. The last time I was given SIX doses of narcan and still wasn’t coming back, I woke up from the mini stroke that put me in a coma for 3 days.on a gurney next to a nurses station, not even in a room because I had to be under constant observation.they weren’t sure if I’d make it or not. I’ve been clean and sober since the day I woke up, and luckily don’t have any residual health issues.
Why I didn’t die, after so many overdoses (I OD’d twice in two days,before) I have OD’d 8 times and am still alive.I’m too scared to ever get high again, the last time was the closest to death I have ever been,I feel like my life was spared that many times for a reason. I hope this guy gets the help he needs and that he doesn’t go through any more near death experiences,and uses this as his wake up call and gets help and doesn’t play Russian roulette with his life with heroin any more.

Before you overdose is there any signs you noticed because a person overdose to like try to call 911. Or the person doesn’t know they just faint. What happens seconds before a person overdose. In the person mind.

I feel bad for the gentleman’s situation here. He seems like a good guy. He immediately asked if he hurt anyone else. That tells a lot about someone’s heart. He was also open about his life and how he’s been trying to turn himself around and how he’s now got a good job and just got engaged. I hope this young man was able to get the treatment he needs and deserves to move on in his life.

The death rattle never gets old. Frightening, so frightening. Why did the police officers only use one dose of narcan? I’ve seen other officers use several doses and the people who overdosed woke up in a couple minutes. I’m glad the firefighters used more, I’m assuming a stronger dose? I do love how this officer kept following up with everyone and MADE SURE he was ok. Even asking if he needed another dose. He didn’t even care the man was on probation. He was worried about the human being first. Great officer.
Don’t forget you can get Narcan from any pharmacy without a prescription now. God forbid you use drugs but make sure you have multiple doses of Narcan near by.

As a nurse, I am in awe the compassion the police and medics have for this man. “Compassion Fatigue” is a real thing when you see this type of stuff day in and day out (often among the same people) with no end in sight.
I wonder how any nurses or doctors are hanging in there after two years of COVID. There has to be an incredible burnout rate. I'm in awe of those hanging in there, and have great sympathy for those who HAD to give it up for their own welfare. Same with first responders; I can understand how people can buckle under that kind of strain. You guys who hang in there and keep us from killing ourselves are awesome, and deserve the utmost respect. Darcy; Thank you for being there!
