On October 28, 2023, a sergeant was on patrol when he observed a vehicle with expired registration in Lewiston, WI. As the vehicle pulled over, the driver made several movements, shuffling items around. During an attempt to search the driver, she exhibited nervous behavior, resisted, and subsequently met the ground. When placed in the backseat of the police car, she continued to make persistent movements, indicating an effort to destroy evidence. A spilled bag of unknown drugs was soon discovered, which raised major concerns about potential fentanyl exposure to the sergeant and his K9 partner.

I’ve changed my mind about Bobby.I believe he is trying his best.
It's a Bobby thing lol
he may legitimately be trying to get clean, and help her get clean, but the reality is if you're a drug addict and you hang out with someone who does fentanyl, both will just become more and more addicted to fentanyl until they're dead. its such a strong and inexpensive substance that the only real way people quit fentanyl is if they're somehow forced to. it's also laced into almost all other drugs these days, so weening yourself off of it with heroine or meth isn't even an option, since you're still consuming fentanyl when you get those drugs. even just marijuana from an untrustworthy source these days is likely to contain fentanyl.
the best way to avoid it is just don't use any drugs in the first place, and if you must smoke weed only get it from a dispensary.

Bobby seems like a great guy, I hope his recovery journey is smooth and has no issues throughout the way.
He’s a lying sack of 💩 that tried to put it all on her. He’s manipulating a recovery program cause they don’t put you on methadone for crack. That means he did opiates and got into the clinic so he can continue to get high. Take my word for it. I’m in a methadone clinic where I go monthly and I’ve been clean 9 years. He is a real man for sure trying to put everything on her when you know damn well they were both using. When people get into treatment, they have to break up. Couples don’t make it cause when 1 had the feeling, the other quickly follows. I’m married to someone who is not an addict but understands my addiction cause he’s had 2 spine surgeries and hernia surgery. I’ve had 4 spine surgeries, hip surgery, and heart surgery and I was hooked on painkillers. My doc stopped taking my insurance and we live in a small town. The only other doc I could see was 2 hours away and I had no vehicle so I self medicated with heroin. These people are def manipulating a program that really does work for people who genuinely want help. These people just want a legal way to get high! It makes me sick because people die on the waitlists that are sometimes 2 years long while these people who really shouldn’t have that spot, are taking up the space. Methadone doesn’t help crack addiction it’s for people with a physical addiction to opioids. Crack has no physical addiction, it’s all mental. It’s selfishness and just wanting to get high. No one wakes up in the morning needing to smoke crack. Once you sleep it off, the actual addictive part is gone. They are just trash using up resources that could save someone else’s life so they can legally get high. If your addiction is crack, you have no business in a methadone clinic. I was going to make much the same comment as you did. I have compassion for this woman; it's obvious that she's deeply troubled, addicted to the point where she's willing to take a lethal substance just to for a chance at feeling 'ok' & she's probably had a tough childhood but until she's ready to take that one small but highly significant step towards sobriety & betterment she's a danger to both herself & people with whom she comes into contact. I feel bad for her, the guy who wanted to bail her out & the officers who have to deal with the fallout. No winners here I guess but I hope she's able to take that step someday soon.
Yeah and he’s clearly taken that second chance and ran it into the ground

He’s high off his ass, you can hear it in his voice. He’s just a very seasoned liar.
It’s pretty heartwarming hearing how worried the officers are for the K9. They never sound that upset when they are exposed but the second the dog was exposed they were livid. And I love that

That's, scarily, so true!!! Fentanyl seems to be in everything lately.....even benign & mellow marijuana!!😮 Continued good luck on your sobriety.🙏
Yeah, the cops should know that the buyer can't be sure.
@@lisavermigliono one is lacing marijuana and the only ones who truly believe that only watch a certain news network. Think about it like this: you sell a cheeseburger for $3 and a combo meal for $5. Why would you sell the combo meal for $3 essentially giving away the fries & drink? You wouldn’t. No one is giving away drugs as Halloween candy and no one it putting it in pot to unknowingly be ingested because again, why would you give away something so valuable? The drug market is a multi-trillion dollar market and no one is buying the stuff to give away. There’s no need to just give it away because there’s countless of people who will pay for it. People who think like that are the same type of believe drug dealers look like how they do in Hollywood movies when mass majority of them are average looking people. In my area a 28yr old white man who look like a frat boy was running a counterfeit pill press operation, then there was a 50 something year old grandmother caught with an ounce of meth and like 500 pills, then there have been a whole bunch of mid-20 to mid 30 women and men who look like they’ve never done anything wrong in their whole life. The “scary cartel” isn’t the ones peddling the drugs and for things like fentanyl & meth it’s far more in white neighborhoods than that of POC. Just people like to blame the boogie man or immigrants for their own peoples problems. Even the DEA / FBI have stated that mass majority of the drugs and gangs come by plane not by land nor by boat since it’s too risky.
@@Dudemon-1 Tbh, I don't think they meant anything else besides what drugs she had on her that she bought? If citizens who have never used drugs or been around them know that it's dangerous to buy weed, coke, heroin, etc., then of course PO's are well aware but they also know that she's not aware if someone's selling her another dangerous drug mixed in with her usual? Anyone who's never done drugs and doesn't want to, are going to be worried about inhaling it and the poor Officer Ruff Ruff definitely doesn't deserve it. If you're in active recovery and you're serious about it, you don't put yourself in situations that could get you hemmed up or cause you to relapse. You just don't. That means not hanging around anybody that's still messing around with the dark side.

Very well put.
The German word for illicit drugs is "rauchgift". The literal translation is "poison smoke". I'd say that's quite fitting. I was on two narcotics teams during my 12 years in Germany. Luckily it was before explosion of fentanyl and bath salts. Two very wicked unforgiving drugs. That was 30 years ago and I'm still baffled why people use that garbage. There really is no upside.

I think they made a call based on smell and her previous convictions. The officer was probably sure she was hiding something in the car and he pushed to arrest her. A bit rough overall but the police was on the right doing considering what she was hiding. The drugs aged her 30 years…what a wasted life.

So is the withdrawal they experience. They need more programs to help people who have this disease. Too many people have no clue what addicta go through physically to get clean. Many of them only use because no one will help them. Getting sick from lack of drugs is no laughing matter. It’s terrifying because an addict feels like they are not only dying but losing their minds at the same time. It’s beyond horrific what they go through to get clean.
Amazing how everything that came out of her mouth was a lie since the first minute. It comes so naturally
Addicts become great liars, most of the time that is.
That’s a typical thing with drug addicts. They get really good at it and it begins to come naturally. You can’t believe a thing out of their mouths.
“I pissed my pants and I’m bloody” bro…. ☠️
Im an addict, been sober 2 years but I know how terrifying it was to have any contact with law enforcement. Just like this poor lady I never wanted to hurt anyone. Going to jail is absolutely horrific to an active addict. Forced withdrawl in jail was the lowest, most painful, crushing experience of my life! Addiction is born out of depression. Every addict wants to be sober, but they dont know how, and generally there arent places that provide safe, caring detox services. Sober living houses only accept tennants who can pass a urine screen. Waking up each day to your body, your entire being screaming out for more drugs is the saddest feeling in the world. Addicts are trapped, they need help and understanding
Withdrawal is one of the worst hells on earth. I can't even imagine how exponentially worse it would be to do it in jail, as opposed to your bathtub at home.
The cop was too rough with all 80 lbs of her.
The jail time, fines, and a decreased ability to get hired will most certainly resolve her substance abuse. What are we doing to people?
These cops are brutal. EGO driven tyrants.
It’s sad how addiction is still treated as a criminal issue when it should be treated as a health issue.
She needs to go to an inpatient rehab with job training skills for 9 months, and then go into a sober living facility for 3 years with random testing. Otherwise all of this is a huge waste of time.
Mind you, she actually has to want to quit or it’s all worth nothing 🤷♀️
I've got family that stayed clean for 6 years, and as soon as the government didn't hold them accountable for their addiction they were back to the rock.
@@allisonjames2923 The government has to force addicts into these facilities and pay for them to remain there. Unfortunately the US gives hundreds of billions to every country except its own.
