    I missed one thing more the 1le has that SS does not. It has a short throw shifter it shares with zl1. But it’s a gm shifter and not even that noticeable.

      Big Meech and the rear diff I’m learning it shares with zl1. Parts seem to go on and on. Seems to be a harder camaro to find at dealerships. But the upgrade package was well worth the 3000 or so it added to sticker price. Congrats on your car. I’m in love with this one.

      OnlineCarShow I owned a 2008 c6 z06 too and on the fence between a new SS 1le or used C7 Z51. Which of these cars is a better daily driver in your opinion ? Which is better on longer rides? Better communicates with the driver? Your opinion is going to help me make my decision . Thanks

      The Vet was twitchy because the tires were so wide. They really catch the natural ruts in the road.

      And you got a lot more than just the coolers for the transmission you get a electronic activated elects limited slip differential, short throw shifter what you said, and the transmission is gear differently as well as the rear axel I believe First third fourth and 6 gear are different it's the tr6060 with the close ratio gears, you can only get this in the 1 l e everything else you can get but you may have to order it from the factory they made the elsd electronic limited-slip differential available late 2018 same thing with the Recaro seats, as far as I know the PDR performance data recorder which he does not have is one option that the one I leave package makes available that you cannot get on any other SS or lower Camaro, the other thing most people don't understand is that the 1LE package also gets you whether you have a 1 SS or a 2ss, 2ss only available in 2018 with 1LE, the wheels can only be had with 1 l e package, you also get magnetic ride suspension with a specific tune Recaro seats which are heated and ventilated whether it's a 2ss or a 1ss but the one ss you don't get the buttons so you have to put your own in everything else is in the seat blower motors heating pads, you also get a heads up display and front splitter rear spoiler vinyl wrapped Hood 6-piston monoblock calipers buy Brembo front and 4 piston rear larger diameter two-piece rotors, ABS braking traction control systems stability Management Systems have all been optimized for the 1LE package, as well as Magnetic Ride Control and all this stuff comes standard the only thing that doesn't is the performance data recorder which allows you to take videos and record like a Data Logger all your engine stuff driving G's throttle inputs the course that you traveled it's developed by Cosworth and is way more than what you see in the car that is something that cost several thousand to install afterwards

    I got a 2020 2SS 1LE. I love it when it’s all warmed up. Very smooth. Very nice seats. Great 6 speed transmission (when it’s warm). More suspension then engine. This I like very much. I enjoy the rear view camera mirror with it set to a bit of a wide angle. Then I adjust my mirrors. No blind spots. I love how the memory seats remember mirror settings. Love apple car play. How I can just talk to the car to navigate to a destination. Love how the car will read my text messages to me. And how I can dictate a text reply back all with keeping my hand on the controls.
    My heat and mind have come together in selecting this car. My heart loves the power handling and looks. My mind knows it’s still a Chevy, not over expensive. Parts are readily available and insurance is cheep compared to my much enjoyed (different reasons) Subaru 3.6R.

      The Camaro SS1LE is one of the most stable cars on the road I’ve ever driven. I raced mine on dragstrip entire time I owned with drag radials too. Never had a single issue and it was so much fun to drive. One of the best cars ever built and probably the most underrated ever. You will love the 1LE. When you want a little more kick go E85 and longtube headers. Really woke mine up.

    I bought a 2017 2SS...primarily just because it was a deal that presented itself and I couldn't pass it up. Best I can see is mine was ordered with extras. I have the same rims as yours. Mine also has the electronic stabilization suspension. I would have loved to have got ahold of the 1LE. Mine is now not under warranty so it's going into the shop the get built. I just today made the decision to build this car rather then go into a Payment to buy a 2022 ZR1. I love both the Camaro and Corvette styles. Nice car❤

  • @Venom-ib5vs
    @Venom-ib5vs Před 2 lety

    I have a 2004 C5 corvette and absolutely love it and never plan on getting rid of it. Already paid it off so I plan on keeping it for my son one day when I pass. I’m 30 years old so I have a while to go since I don’t even have a son yet hahaha. But my C5 corvette is my daily at the moment and it sure is fun and a real head turner but as for being a daily driver it’s just a little too low and not comfortable enough. Every time I pull in or leave anywhere at a slope I have to go at an angle to avoid scraping which gets tiring but I knew that when getting it. That being said I’ve been looking at other options for daily drivers and I’ve always been a huge fan of Chevelles and Camaros. Sadly Chevy hasn’t made a reproduction of the Chevelle and I don’t see them possibly ever doing it but you never know. So that brings me to the gen 5 Camaros(my personal taste). They look great, might not be the best on MPG but hey I’m willing to sacrifice that for more ride height, comfort and that muscle car feel.
    So thank you for this video since I am a corvette guy and used to being so low to the ground and in a small cockpit area which I still love of course since it’s that corvette feel but for something more suitable for daily driving the camaro just seems like a win win in my book. Plus the added back seat will come in handy rather than only being a 2 seater like the vette.

      @@BlackPanther1SS well I traded my 2011 for a 2018 2SS recently… that takes the win for the best decision now lol. The 6th gens are on another level from the 5th Gen camaros. The camaros IMO are just a lot more user friendly. Slap some winter tires on it and you can drive them year round, unlike the vette. It sounds and looks damn near as good (opinion) and is way more practical than a corvette.

    So weird . I traded my 1LE for a Stingray . I love the Stingray way better. Procharger-Z06 fuel system-Meth kit-headers- Toyo R888's = 700 WHP . Z06 Areo too.. Why didn't I buy a Z06 ? I wanted to build up a Stingray so all the GT's and Hellcats would say " oh look a stock stingray, no wait, it's a Z, no wait , WTH ??? " ... A true sleeper that I built .. Plus, the PD blower on the Z06 fell flat on its face after 4500 rpm ..

    Instead of completely different rear differential the one from the ZL1 and the oil cooler for the rear differential, transmission is geared differently an engine cooler well as the hubs. Completely unique suspension package tailored specifically for the 1le as well as Magnetic Ride. You automatically get upgraded to leather seats in the rear Recaro seating standards upfront you also get a heads up display standard and the brakes from a ZL1 along with the 10 inch wide 11 inch wide 20 inch rims only available on 1 l e. On your car there is only one option other than color PDR for 1 ss cars 2 SS cars with the 1 Ie package can you get Spectrum Lighting little nicer door panels and knee to rest. Along with the buttons to make the heated and cooled seats work. 2 ss1le is basically zl1 without the supercharger

    The red works on the 1LE because it has the black hood, rims and spoiler. It’s the only way I’d get a red car.
    I subbed and looking forward to see what you do to the car. Mine is lowered 1.4”, has a CAI intake, Borla ATAK cat back exhaust and this weekend gonna install my Kooks headers. Gonna bring in the new year nice and loud.

      @ThisGuyDrives Před 6 lety +1

      From what I read, 2” is too big and will make me lose power. I read that those headers are more ideal for something like the LS7. So 1 7/8 it is.

      Kooks long tube combined with Borla ATAK sounds godly. It’s not for everyone that’s for sure.
      When I’m on it. you can hear me at least 3 blocks up. People are jumping in their cars and rolling their windows up!
      I only have a 15 sec video right now of some straight pipe sounds on my channel. Hopefully get a proper video up this weekend when I get back in town.

    Congrats on the SS 1LE.
    The 1LE is currently the Best bang for the buck new car out there if you're going to track it, imo.
    I have a red 17' 2SS 6M with magnetic ride which is plenty for my purposes and roads I commute on. If I were going to track my car it'd be with the 1LE without a doubt!
    FYI:
    The SS 1le does not share the same grill as the ZL1.
    The 2SS can have the magnetic ride as an option.
    All SS manuals have the 3.73 gears.
    As far as the transmission gearing pretty sure the standard SS and SS 1LE 6M are the same.

      @OnlinecarshowNet1  Před 6 lety +2

      Gen6 2SS I’ll check out the other facts. The grill was different on the 18 1le from the ss1 and ss2 I looked at when at the dealership. They have a colored half ring on bottom corners now. Thank you for watching and I’m loving the camaro.

    • @OnlinecarshowNet1

    • @OnlinecarshowNet1
      @OnlinecarshowNet1  Před 6 lety +2

      Gen6 2SS and I have read the 5th and 6th gear are higher on 1le for the ability to get to higher rpms easier on track. The 373 are an option on ss and ss2 and majority do have the 373 ratio.

    • @OnlinecarshowNet1
      @OnlinecarshowNet1  Před 6 lety +2

      I can feel a difference in rpm in 6th at 75mph over a friends ss2 with 373s. Granted these are gears not used in 1/4 mile times so that explains why even with higher gears in tranny the 1/4 mile time is still slower due to weight, wheels and additional downforce in 1le. Never personally raced 1/2 mile, so, not sure if it would effect the time there or not.

      Honestly Speed I’d say my C6Z6, then C7Z51, then 1le. But its very close behind I think. Won’t take much. Now for cornering I’d say 1le, c6z6 then c7z51. Just because I feel less nervous behind the wheel on 1le and comfort level is increased. And as we all know cornering is all about connecting to the car. I have a lot of fun in this Camaro. The c6z6 was a thing of beauty. But its a very expensive one too. Too much titanium on that motor to have fun unless you have a fat wallet. Coming from being a Trans Am guy back in the day I think I found my home with Camaro.

      Yes and no. I love it right now. But we all know alcantara wears really bad and you can’t really clean suede. I’ve seen videos with cars after a lot of wear that things like the stick shift look like crap. So yes I like it now for feel and comfort but in the future once it stains and wears I’m sure I’ll grow to hate it and find a way to replace it. 😂. For interior the 2ss kills it. I almost bought a 2ss with sunroof and 10 speed auto. Was a very hard decision.

      Thanks for the response, I am looking at a 2017 ILE for 8 k miles for about 35k similar price 2017 2SS. Although I like the ILE the determining factor would prob be the bad alcantara in the ILE.. It is still a hard decision but I guess, it will be the 2ss

    The standard Corvette is like the standard Camaro. And the Grand Sport is like the 1LE. Then the ZL1 got the Z06 engine. I would not compare a 1LE to the standard Corvette but to the Grand Sport. Then its no contest, the Grand Sport would be my pick.

    Hey there I would have just kept the corvette and add the 1LE to your garage lol. Have both!!! Nevertheless the corvette stingray drive s different then camaro s. I've had corvette & mustang & camaro & GTO over the years and they all good cars, but body types and preferences are different. I currently own a 16 mustang GT & a 18 1SS the camaro SS is a way better drivers car. Both are automatic transmission. Strangely enough ppl find the mustang GT a better and more comfortable car while for me the SS is more comfortable and better driving then the mustang GT. Even thou ppl buy the mustang more so over the camaro. For sure the camaro s price/features is un beatable. And the SS npp exhaust is out of this world. Lol.

    • @OnlinecarshowNet1
      @OnlinecarshowNet1  Před 6 lety +2

      Agree totally. Nothing wrong with Vette, just not me I guess. I loved the Z06 I had before the stingray though. So I think I just like the meat on the tires is all is really came down to. The C7 was 3 inches shorter in wheelbase over c6 and maybe that was at play too. None the less I know stingray owners that swear by it and it was a perfect car mechanically never had a single issue. We owned a 2002 Mustang GT in the past that went to 260K miles without even water pump or alternator going out. Leather even looked brand new when we sold it. I probably should have looked at the GT and GT350 when making a decision and wish I would have more. I did look at a challenger but the salesman talked me out of that believe or not. When I saw the red 1le in the show room it hit me and seemed to call to me. It was right from the start :)
