    People are constantly comparing what's quicker than this and that. Who gives a fuck about any of that. If you're not taking it to the track it means absolutely nothing. Drive a car that you like.

      mclovin'78 I like this information , ppl sometimes mention the 2015-17 charger v6 are slow don't get , a Honda will dust you , like really? We're on a street not track so really can't test out speed unless we're both in front the red light ..

      mclovin'78 exactly, always going to be a faster car and unless your going to an actual track it doesn't mean shit lol. You wouldn't believe the feedback I get for driving c63 over m3 lmfao "you can beat me in a straight line but on the corners your smoked" wtf lol who gives a shit

    In October I got my 2017 Ford Mustang GT with a Performance Pack for $36k. To think I could have bought a 1LE for $6k more breaks my heart. Don't get me wrong, I love my Mustang but when I drive it my smile isn't as big as when I drive the 2SS. I'll definitely be trading it in when possible.

    • @frustratedmillennialz

    • @06RedfireGT
      @06RedfireGT Před 7 lety +20

      Put $6k worth of mods into the Mustang and make itbetter than the Camaro and end up with a car that looks way better and has a nicer interior than the Camaro. The 1LE package isn't some magic witchcraft, it's suspension and sticky tires.

    • @Youngster543210
      @Youngster543210 Před 7 lety

    • @Youngster543210
      @Youngster543210 Před 7 lety

      Trevon Adams Yeah but the almost 6k more expensive so for those of us that pay cash for cars you can have 250 more hp for the same amount of money.

  • @SRTMUSH
    @SRTMUSH Před 7 lety +95

    my insurance agent told me once that part of the premium, is the likelihood of it getting stolen based on national statistics. I reckon that means a Charger is more likely to get stolen than a camaro.

    • @masonrice97
      @masonrice97 Před 7 lety

      SRTMUSH there's a lot more to it than that lol.

    • @SRTMUSH
      @SRTMUSH Před 7 lety +1

      there is a ton more to it, but one reason why two seemingly similar cars can have a big difference in insurance

    • @masonrice97
      @masonrice97 Před 7 lety +1

      SRTMUSH most likely the biggest reason is that the charger is a sedan and the Camaro is a two door. Probably more at-fault accidents in the Camaro too.

    • @masonrice97
      @masonrice97 Před 7 lety +2

      Wait I misunderstood. I thought the Camaro cost more.

    • @SRTMUSH
      @SRTMUSH Před 7 lety +4

      Selling price is for sure one factore, insured's age, driving record, horsepower, collision repair costs, etc,etc. But I had a Challenger SRT8, and went to a Charger SRT8, same year, and the price went up, thought it would go down by going from a coupe to a sedan. Went from a 2008 SRT8 to a 16 Hellcat, price went down. Agent said one common reason a lot of people arent aware of, is the chances of it being stolen based on national stats. For whatever reason, the Charger was stolen more often than a Challenger. And newer cars are harder to steal with Key Fobs and other security measures in place. Again, this is according to my agent and may not be correct. Just passing along what I was told.

      I can't tell if I'm happy the camaro is no longer a muscle car or sad. I mean I thought the corvette was the sports car for Chevy and the camaro was the muscle car. Chevy has pretty much made it so there is no point to buy a vett anymore. the camaro is fast, has its engine and is cheaper. I'm not sure if it's just my area but I rarely see the new v8 camaros for some reason. although my area the price for any vehicle is high.

  • @Chris-us8yq
    @Chris-us8yq Před 7 lety +30

    I'd be very mad if they put the front plate on my car. I work at a dealership and we don't drill in the front plate unless the customer asks for it.

    • @Chris-us8yq
      @Chris-us8yq Před 7 lety +4

      I think that car is faster than a scat pack too.

    • @gymratt42
      @gymratt42 Před 7 lety +5

      Christian Kaestner I'd be pissed too. They should never molest a new car unless the owner requests the front bracket. And yes the 6th gen ss is a hair quicker in the 1/4 than a scat but on a road course the scat will not compete, especially against a 1LE. My daily is a 16 scat.

    • @Chris-us8yq
      @Chris-us8yq Před 7 lety

      jeff grabowski I work at a dodge dealership and I know the scats can't handle like their competitors. The straight line speed is impressive but they really need to shave some weight and put some better tires on the cars stock. If they shaved even 500 pounds the cars would be heaps better

    • @Chris-us8yq
      @Chris-us8yq Před 7 lety +1

      It's all about power to weight

    • @gymratt42
      @gymratt42 Před 7 lety +2

      Christian Kaestner agreed, they are great boulevard cruisers, very comfortable touring cars and good at the drag strip. Hopefully the next gen challenger/Cuda? will be smaller, much lighter and nimble. When I park my c6 next to it my vette looks like a go cart, or a 3/4 scale car. The challenger/chargers are huge.

    I know exactly how your feel about the front license plate. When I bought my 16 mustang GT I specifically told them to not drill the bumper to the point where my salesman hid the license plate bracket in the trunk. Well.. the service guys found it and I noticed it had been installed right as my salesman was walking me out to the car explaining how he told the service people not to install it.. It was definitely a disappointment because I wanted to install a hidden license plate mount but the car was so much fun I forgot about it pretty quick.

    1) the front plate, has to been installed by dealership if required by state, should have called and requested not to install the plate bracket.
    2) insurance on the car is based on repairs and the how many accidents on the models, Camaros are tens of thousands which most not all are 6 cylinders.
    you'll find more wrecked Charges do to police and the Hellcat wrecks driving up insurance costs up.
    3) drive what you like.
    I worked for a Ford Dealership here in Mishawaka Indiana, for 18 years, asked them to locate the car I have now from a auction. after a week went some were else and bought my Chrysler 300c Hemi.
