Here I do a Playthrough of my presets for playing the music of Rush. Check out my GX-100 Custom Presets Here: www.glenndelaune.com/boss-pat... AMAZON PRICE CHECK: amzn.to/3j6lLNx
I bought a set of Glenn's Artist patches and ran into an issue and emailed him (U.S time/San Diego). It must have been 1:00AM or later in Oz & to my amazement he emailed back in 15 minutes and then followed up to make sure I was able to get it to work. A class act all around.
I watched this for the second time at 75% speed so I could keep up with your awesome playing. It was amazing at the end 17:50 when you all hit notes exactly in a complex rhythm that’s the sign of a super tight band. Nice work and thanks for the video
Wow this video has really taken me back to why I got into Rush but when I was learning to play Rush way back I had a ton of pedals and a great noise gate to even things out. You are way better than I ever was for sure and it's great that you're keeping the wonderful music of Rush alive. Great guitar playing with the sounds to match. Glad I found this video
Wow, I’m quite impressed. Your tones are great & your playing was awesome. I’m debating a GX-100 atm and if I grab one, I’m definitely gonna grab your preset/IR pack for this. Nicely done man.
woow, those alex tones are spot on and the guitar is gorgeous! but the most impressive is the playing, I have played for 50+ years and I have never played a Rush song in a band, Alex way of playing is so alien to my Blues oriented guitar brain! I have just ordered a GX-100 to replace the Pod Go, can't wait to try for those violin lead tones
Glenn, this sounds absolutely phenomenal!! The sound setting are right in the pocket, as is the playing!! I hope to see your ToS band sometime down the road. Do you have plans to creat a Rush presets pack for the Pod Go, or do I now have to go out and get the Boss GX-100 to get these amazingly phenomenal presets?
Love Rush and great playing and demo of the GX-100! Straight into an interface or laptop? How does it sound with an amp? Cool thumb picking, must be hard on the joint after repetitive use. Great playing and Rush song selection.
Love it great playing, love the thumb picking. I have the GT100 and looking to upgrade Can you use the assign on the GX-100 to change from one effect to another? Eg. From Flanger to Tremolo? This is possible on the GT line but not seeing how to do it in GX manual
You're a stupendous player Glenn; how you play rock so proficiently with a thumbpick is beyond me. I first got into Rush in 1977 and soon learned to play many of their tunes including all the ones you played here. I do use a thumbpick but for fingerstyle acoustic playing. In my mid-fifties I developed severe osteoarthritis in the basal thumb joints of both hands. The left was so bad I had arthroplasty surgery : it worked but I lost about 6mm of my thumb length and stiffened my hand a bit. I can play but still get some pain and can't play half the chords I used to. Be careful with this thumb technique; you may be at risk of developing basal thumb joint OA.
Hi Stephen, thank you for the kind words. I'm sorry you suffered from your playing. I've been playing this way since I was 5 years old. I'm 60 now so that's 55 years playing with a thumb pick. People often ask me if I feel pain but thank God, No. No pain at all and I practice at least 10 hours a week plus gigging. Thank you for asking though.
These week my GX-100 will arrive and for sure I want to buy this (or more) presets, great tone and great playing! Are you using standard IR's in this preset or does it comes with the Rush preset?
Hey, Glonn. Awesome Job. I have a question to you. Because of your Genius creating awesome patches, maybe you could do one in the style of tesseract? Or maybe one live your Masters of Metal? Thanx MK
Hey Chris, Thank you so much Sir. Well it's pretty tight on there. So, Jerry Reed and Roy Clark used to call it "Blue Thumb" if your thumb pick was too tight. I always thought that was so funny. Those are the guys I learned from when I was a toddler.
@@GlennDeLauneOfficial Wow, yea I grew up admiring Roy every night on Hee Haw yet the rest of my life involved the worshiping of Rush. Picking always felt natural yet every thumbpick I tried promptly flew through the air. Since I have paper thin nails I rely on daily coatings of nail polish. I'll give picks another try, thanks for the advice!
Great video Glenn. Always great playing and great sound. Glenn, I'm interested in buying some of you patch sets but have a few questions. I've heard you mention to email you but I can't seem to find your email address. Can you let me know what it is please ? (I'm not in Facebook)
Thank you very much. No my RUSH presets don't need IR's. The stock cabs in the GX unit with my custom settings is what you heard in the video and it's what I use live for my RUSH show. No need for 3rd party IR's on this case.
hi...rush are my favourite band....unforntunately i never got to see them as they never toured aaustralia....but i have owned their complete catalogue on both cassette tape and tthen cd..........i would very probablly buy rush patches if u wwere to sell them.....
Hi, apologies for the slightly off topic question. Any idea how good (or bad) the Boss GT1 is in comparison to the Boss GX-100? Budget issues here, as you can imagine. Huge Rush fan here, great playing and tones. Thanks!
the fact that you can load your own Impulse Responses is the reason. It's really not a fair comparison actually. It's like comparing a Hyundai to a Mercedes. There is so much more under the hood of the GX than the GT-1.
Hey Glenn, congrats on your amazing video!! Do you think that there would be a difference in sounding between gx100 and gt1000? Would u also feel comfortable to perform live with gtk?
Your demo had me running out to buy one today. I have so much to learn because out of the box, it sounds like absolute shit, reminiscent of the old POD bean that we used to play. I do see the potential of the unit, I just wish they included some useable tones out of the box. I am going to have to spend a lot of time learning to adjust this beast. I might buy some of your sounds, if you have just a good rock clean tone, crunch, lead, and boosts.
Mark that's very nice of you to say but I would not be the guitar player I am today if it were not for me studying RUSH music since 1977. He's my guitar hero. I owe everything to Alex.

nice to hear
You nailed it Glenn, awesome! Love your PodGo patches btw, I’ve been enjoying them and they have been my favorite go-to tones!!
Wow ! Fantastic cover Glenn !
Absolutely amazing playing!! Could not stop listening.
Thank you so much.
Absolutely nailed it! Definitely gonna check out your patches if I get one!
Outstanding work , mindblowing !
Hey Glenn, just don't know how many times I can like this video, but damn, you rock it!
Brilliant. I've been into Rush since the early eighties and this medley has all my favourite tracks. GX-100 Sounds great too. Thank you.
Thank you Sir.

Awesome work Glenn. Still using your patches. Thank you for some amazing videos.
My pleasure Sir. Thank you.

Great tone! Throroughly enjoyed it! That LP is looks sweet.
Thank you
Amazing Glenn
This sold me on the unit. Reminds me of Alex’ tone on the Exit Stage Left album. Very organic with breathing room. Great job Glenn!
Thank you Sir.
Truly Amazing and inspiring!
Dude, you are a monster player with killer tone!
You make it look easy! Appreciate you! American living at Kadena AB Okinawa…you’re worldwide baby!!
Wow, Thank you
Really enjoyed that!!

Awesome brother !
Thanks ✌️
Excellent!
Thank you
Great playing Glenn. Alex lifeson has a weird style. Not weird just his own, which is why he's hailed as top 10 guitar players in my book
Glenn, this sounds absolutely phenomenal!! The sound setting are right in the pocket, as is the playing!! I hope to see your ToS band sometime down the road.

Sounds are great, but love your picking style, unique😁👍
Thank you kindly!
Outstanding
Thank you Sir
sounds amazing ;O)
Thank you so much
I'm impressed with the thumb pick technique and a bit jealous because it's a tough learning curve
Thank you

I very rarely comment on youtube content but, fabulous playing.
Hi Steve, Thank you so much Sir. I do appreciate the kind words.
Great songs, great playing and great tone !
Do you prefer this over the gt1000 ?
As a rush fun this are most have in my opinion, also a version of this presets but in the pod go would be killer also
Thank you Sir

WOWWWWW!!!!!
Wow, incredible Glenn!!! And such an interesting picking technique, I'm blown away! How do you keep the thumb pick from going ballistic?

Hi John, I'd be happy to answer any of your questions here Sir.
Fantastic! How about a Kansas medley?
Thank you. Well big Kansas fan here.
Hi Glenn! I'm thinking of purchasing the Rush tones. Just wondering does it come with a custom IR ? Thanks TJ

La Villa🤘
Hi Glen. We’re these sounds captured DI or through the Alchemist and cab?
Stereo direct right from the L&R 1/4in. outputs of the GX-100

@@GlennDeLauneOfficial Ah ok. Thanks then. :) If I may ask how much better is the audio quality. And why.

@@GlennDeLauneOfficial My bad. I meant only in terms of the default audio quality. COSM vs AIRD.
Glenn, what was the name of that song starting at 10:48 into the video?
That's "La Villa Strangiato" from the Hemispheres album.
What are we hearing? Is it a miked amp or fed in to daw? Sounds great whichever.
Thank you. Straight into DAW
you doing any more Mooer GE300 presets?
Eventually Yes.
Hey Glenn, congrats on your amazing video!! Do you think that there would be a difference in sounding between gx100 and gt1000? Would u also feel comfortable to perform live with gtk?
By the way, witch would be this main distorted amp on this video? My wild guess is a X-modded kkk. It sounds incredible!!!
Thanks Hugo, Yes I have performed live with the GTK several times. Honestly I think this new GX-100 sounds better.
That's the Bogner Uberschall model
