I have the Boss GT 1000 Core. Can I update with my Gen 9 iPad ? If I get a lightning to usb Midi cable ?
I tried to update it on a really old Mac laptop and it just didn't work, so I was hoping my iPad would work if I get the right cable.
I just looked and I have version 1.03. Do I have to download each version separately till I get to Version 4, or just download Version 4 and the rest will download automatically ? I tried both on the old laptop and nothing worked. I probably tried over a dozen different ways and I still have version 1.03, which is how I bought it. I'm not sure if it's because the laptop is so old, or if I'm doing something wrong, so I was hoping my iPad would work.... Thanks ! :-)
I wish I could answer that but I am not a MAC person. Hopefully someone else can comment that would know.

Do I have to have. Variax. Guitar for this presset?
No they will work with any guitar but you won't get all of the different tunings from the Acoustic one but the electric one will will fine with any guitar.

I'm guessing that these presets will only work with a Variax guitar and not with a standard 6 string electric. I have some of your other presets and love these as well.
