    After putting 20,000 miles on my Yokohama Geolandars (G003) it is time to do a full review on them!
    These tires have performed amazing in every terrain, I only drove in snow with them twice and they seemed to handle it well. I’d highly recommend these to any offroad vehicle owner.

    I have watched this video like 6 times now and like this review. Your video helped me make the decision to order this Yokohama Geolandar G003 in 35s for my Infiniti QX80. I do not offroad as much, but I do some hardcore offroad atleast 2 times each year and I always make sure my car can handle it. I got 285x55R22, which are 35s. I look forward to taking it to Ouray some time this year.

    I have had BFG KO2 and Nitto Terra Grappler, even the P rated Geolandar GO15 do better off road and in mud than both of them and the E rated ones give you extra cut resistance. I have also used Nitto Trail Grappler that are noisy and do very poor on road and in rain. The MT G003 are shades better than any other in its class of MT tires but best part, its the most livable tire on road being that for many of us, tarmac forms majority of our driving. Thanks for the review, looking forward to your X-AT and X-MT review. I know few in the Jeep world have had superb results with G004 and X-MT.

    Well!! Let me give anyone looking into the geolander MT g003
    I have run a few different mud terrains along the way as I work in the oil & gas industry in northern Alberta Canada. I always swore by the toyo MT 35” x12.5 x R20. And still do! But I thought I’d try something different. I run a Ford F-350 with a 4.5” SL and I just put on a new set of the Yokohama geolander G003 MT on.
    They spin true , balance out great , start out relatively the same noise levels as it’s competitors but after about 6000miles,.. literally they turn it up a few more decibels and start to sound like a small plane on the tarmac ... sincerely guys , be prepared that these are not quieter than their competition at all. They are also a little squirrely under the truck I feel as the measure just a little narrower than other 12.50 wide tires. So just a little getting used to that’s all. Great looking tire, slightly lighter in weight than it’s competitors which can be felt in rotational mass. Let’s be real though , noisy and expensive ... when I post a video I’ll come back and shoot the link ok 👌🏻
    Thanks everyone .. it’s -35Celcius this upcoming week so not much for Shooting a video lol ... I just rotated once last week at 7500km/4660 miles
    I’ll update with actual size of the tire mounted on the truck.
    I’ve run duratracs , TOYO open country mud terrains and BFG all terrains.

    Hi, I just installed the new Yokohamas G003 a few days ago replacing the old MT+. I wouldn't say the new ones are bad, actually they the most silent tires I've got but the new model are not better, if anything, they are worst. The old model had incredible grip, little noise, unbelievable wet grip and a very good off-road performance (except on slippery rocks). Maybe the new model will last more and that's the only improvement over the old model. Just my two cents for everyone looking for the Yokos, try to find the old model if you are looking for better traction, or the new one if you want a longer tread life. BTW, great video!

I was going to replace them next year because their 8 years old some cracks in the tread....Im looking at they Geolanders M/T but i do 90% of highway driving, you think this will still be a good tire for me?.....Thanks Awesome Jeep by the way👍

      JK Gear and Gadgets I got a set of 35s for my JTR based on reviews and they’re great. One thing I noticed though on the highway there is a slight vibration around 60. Had them rebalanced and still there so wasn’t sure if others had experienced this?

      Chart says 17/32. At 15,000 miles mine are down to only 15/32. Quietest, toughest, best wearing, and best all-around performing tire I've ever run in 46 years of performance off road driving.

    • @JKGearandGadgets

      4.5” lift. Not a particular brand as it’s a lot of different companies components.

    • @Se7vinDeadlySins
      @Se7vinDeadlySins Před 6 lety +1

      Cool, thanks for the reply. Im thinking of going with a 4.5" metalcloak Highsteer. How does the 4.5" handle on and offroad? Does it feel like you are top heavy?( High center of gravity). Also what tire size?

    • @JKGearandGadgets
      @JKGearandGadgets  Před 6 lety

      It all depends what size tire you plan on running. For 37s I’d reccomend 3.5” and flat fenders. For 40s go with 4.5”. The lower the lift the better! And I would highly suggest the Metalcloak or Rock Krawler!

    • @Se7vinDeadlySins
      @Se7vinDeadlySins Před 6 lety +1

      Awesome, if i was going to go with 37"s they would be 12.50x17 same with the 35. And i am going to go with the metalcloak 3.5, and get the Highsteer kit and tie rod and rocksport steering stabilizer.
