I love checking the start and then skipping to the end and just seeing the topic of conversation switch. Wanderbots at the start: "Wow no splits for a while!" Wanderbots at the end: "I am like SNL without the breaks and am feeling a bit burnt out"
Proposed gold rush change: mines now give the round number gold per round, enemies get a 0.1 move speed bonus. (I mean it is a mine upgrade, might as well have it upgrade mines.)
death spiral straight into a portal isnt inherently death, the only win i have had was one of those.
it would be cool that if you spiral like that you can still expand outwards, but it would just be land where there are mana crystals, ore veins, etc.
two of my favorite runs had one looped around and portaled at round 10, right next to the starting tile. the other split 2 ways at round 20, and never branched again through 45. oh and i got Wander's achievement from one of the runs where it portaled super early so there were no new tiles for the university sites to spawn
with the dead ended path, you still get a perk card each round, you just had no time to think it through and spend money before starting to the new wave, so you are rushing through your advancement to try keeping up

I just did the railgun run. That thing is awesome, a little slow on the shots but they annihilated what they hit. Since my single lane was this weir spiral, they could hit the whole map.
You could make it so that snow, acid spray, unlit fuel, and static charged magnetic sand could build up into drifts/puddles that when enemies pass into them they get stacked with effects that multiply the other effects, snow drifts make the slow way more powerful, sand makes the shock hit harder, fuel makes fire tick and durration far more, acid puddles hit for a stronger dot thatvslowly tapers off after getting out?
Maybe saw blades could imbed themself in the ground over time acting like caltrops

the looping is always nice to have at the center, if it goes off on its own however...
I did the math for universities a few days ago for Aavak:
TLDR: The cumulative cost to get one university to level 100 is 101.500 gold.
Long version:
The function is: "cumulative cost = 10*level^2 + 10*level + 500", but the optimum is a bit hard to pinpoint, since it depends on how much gold you want to invest, so a few examples:
- It costs 1600 gold to build one universitiy to 10% bonus, and it costs 1600 gold to build two universities to 5%, so you should not build up to more than 10% as long as you have free spaces to build new ones.
- If you want to get to 13%, it would be cheaper to build three universities to 4, 4 and 5 respectively than build a single one.
- If you get the 2% global bonus perk, then each new virgin university for 500 gold will basically give you 420 gold in free upgrades. At this point you can just spam down as many as you can and not bother upgrading until you've filled every last spot.
Unfortunately the chances aren't additive which sucks

It is entirely possible to win one of those little “death spiral” portal maps! I did so the first time I found one! Used two poison sprayers and a flamethrower, though by the end only the first sprayer was ever seeing action because it was doing just ridiculous splash damage to everything and massive crits constantly.
I actually found this pretty satisfying to watch
Maybe universities could have an upgrade (end path after maxing the other upgrades) that unlocks a more expensive in tower growth path to upgrade that is a % to get free perk thing?

I had a closed loop with portal a couple of days ago, and the game was giving me two upgrade options after each wave after that. Still didn't last long though....

Never heard of this game, and you tube suggested it after watching your rift breaker series. Looks like an interesting game, might pick it up.
But to comment specifically you mentioned getting more followers when your not streaming. I've never watched anything from twitch, only use CZcams. I'm sure I'm not alone.

Wow, the damage per gold on ballistas was over 700 this time. I guess that's the result of them getting tons of extra shots per enemy.

I believe that you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the US school system. It has now become a giant daycare for kids that happens to educate kids about some general studies. The main reason why most school districts are dodgy about calling a snow day is that a lot of parents cannot keep their kids home during the day (sort of why universities delay calling a snow day until after noon so that the contractor staff (grounds keeping, janitorial, etc) still get paid for a full day of work). It mostly comes down to capitalism and the need to make enough money to keep food on the table.

Why do you always go for the Mana Banks? The Mana Bank costs 500g and only provides 4 mana/sec, but the Mana Siphons are 100g for 1 mana/sec. Mana Siphons are more cost efficient than mana banks, especially early on or if you aren't going to need a lot of mana for your build.

Hey, might be a weird question, but how do you place towers witouth needing to click on the button every single time? Is there a shortcut or something after selecting a tower?
In my case I always need to button > place tower > button again > tower

At the beginning of the round they pop up a status message that says how much gold they generated.

Is this a beta branch or something? My ballistas don't get those trails when I add status effects. There's a setting for it in the options which I have turned on, but still no trails.
