- Riding your electric bike and damange the front gear? Maybe you cross threaded a pedal?! Dont worry, in this video we show you how to replace the chainring and a crank arm on an electric bike? In this video we go over the quick procedure to get you back up to the speed.
Looking for the puller tool:

We’re considering starting an ongoing series related to electric bike maintenance, repair, and customization. Some of the videos will be simple repairs like this one, others would get very technical. There continues to be a severe lack of bike shops that offer to work on electric. Until more places begin adapting, we all have to work together to keep our bikes running in top shape.
.
What do you think? Should we continue making these and put a little more work into the production? Please let us know in the comments. What repairs are you in most need of learning?

Omg thank you for making this simple and easy to understand. Took me a few hours to find the right video !!!
Same here
Great vid thanks.
Key part is to use two wrenches when removing.
👌🏻👍🏻
This video is very helpful thank you. Will Spark Cycleworks be selling any custom parts and accessories in the future?
That helped a little but now having issues getting the other side off to replace it
Do you know what size allen key i need for the aventon aventure.2 sidecap on the crank. Aventon can't even tell me.
Will any puller tool work for this?
Thk u
What if it has a pedal assist feature ?
Thanks for the video, and I'm surprised Tao didn't bring out the hammer! 😉
Did you end up shortening the chain?
Hahaha, this particular one uses a chain tensioner instead of shortening the chain. It's part of the adventure kit we are coming out with soon!
I smoked my left pedal on a boulder and bent the crank arm in the process. Crappy thing is it sounds like I might've messed up the internals where the pedal assist is. At least I didn't get hurt but my wallet might be a bit sore from this!
What I'd it's a 3 sproket for 21 speed electric bike
should not affect repair
I only need to replace the crank arm itself due to stripped threads that let pedals fall out, but you don't show that
Hey there!!!! Exact same issue. Did you figure it out? I took out the hex bolt but it won’t budge.
@k.t.kondor9071 did u figure it out cuz I have to same problem but I don't want to break it😭
