If the car is on finance, your insurer has to clear that before they can give you anything. It is quite possible you'll be left with absolutely nothing.

@@paulillingworth1242 well, funny you mention that, when a 'ROAD CLOSED' sign appears it not only means the road is closed, you are only insured to drive on PUBLIC roads that are OPEN, so for many of those grumpy floaters, may find they are uninsured for the damages, AND still have to keep paying the lease......
