Bought this for my youngest to develop basic form for single hand kettlebell work. czcams.com/users/postUgkxtaDAl93XF8wxJhssTtjIFjzid82wglva It has a nice grip on it, just a little rough so it isn't slippery. I was doing a few rotator cuff exercises to test and worked well for those movements I'd been doing with a regular dumbbell. Cool thing you can do is hold it in your hand for door-knob turns to work the forearm and grip. Note: it's small, almost all handle, but that's what I expected given the weight. Smallest I've worked with before is 15lbs, so it was kind of funny to see the difference 10lbs makes.
Good demo! Would like to see the "punch trough" in slow motion so folks can understand the finesse needed to accomplish repositioning the KB correctly for the OH press (and to avoided forearm injury).
The one thing that I wish people would do when giving a tutorial on technique is to right at the start just do the technique. don't talk, don't do anything else. just to the technique already. THEN you can start doing the detail.

For everyone starting, start with 5lbs repetition is key. Built up to sets with 50lbs over a month period what a great way to move weight while breaking a sweat tagging a squat and press into each rep
Too dangerous for my wrist. Too dangerous for my elbow. Too dangerous for my shoulder. Too dangerous for my back. But more importantly, too dangerous for my head.
imo, and I def could be wrong, but for folks on the more starter/beginner end: def start with a weight WELL within your capabilities... don't mess around and hurt your shoulder or even knock yourself out. you're trying to get healthier, not the opposite.
A LOT OF COMPLAINERS BELOW. the instructions are: you generally keep your palm in the same plane as the body (you don't twist your hand much); you punch up in the top of the movement so the kettlebell lands smoothly onto your upperarm; and you have to grip the kettlebell tightly at the top so it falls smoothly. START LOW so you don't hurt yourself thinking about it.

"alright here's the kettle bell snatch. i'm gonna do it really fucking fast so you can't learn what i'm doing"
empire exactly. Didn't learn a thing.
hahahahha
Pro Tip: CZcams has a settings button that allows you to take control. You can watch at 1/2 or even 1/4 speeds!
Brilliant!
@@AOMartialArts half speed he sounds drunk
Does your brain process that slowly? Literally just swing it up its one of the more simple things to do
For those of us that are new it would've been helpful to see a slower version and an explanation of how your wrist/grip should be.
You can slow playback speed on CZcams

Hey Afleck, you were the bomb in Phantoms!

Wouldn't it be awesome if CZcams had a function to play back videos in slow motion?? 🙄
Same here. I have a tendency to bang it against my forearm at the top.
Straight to the point I like it
Nicely done! Thank you!
Short and to the point. Good video.
nice to see someone do this with a clearly heavier bell.
Thanks to this video I got it!! Thanks agains!!!!
Nice! Very smooth
This is actually a really good video if you've got a basic understanding of the kb snatch. For beginners? Not so much hahaha
You need a slow mo portion of the video to really see it in action!
That would be great.
put it on 0.25x speed in the settings
If only CZcams had a setting where you could play back the video slower...

This is an advanced movement, you already need to know how to swing, clean, and press to get to this point.

I appreciate that this is concise. Don’t want 5+ minute lead in. Yay!
I'd bust my face with it right after I broke my wrist lol.

whats the difference between kettlebell and dumbbell snatch
Substantial difference. With a dumbell you need not worry about breaking your forearm or damaging your wrist.
For everyone starting, start with 5lbs repetition is key. Built up to sets with 50lbs over a month period what a great way to move weight while breaking a sweat tagging a squat and press into each rep
Camera person didn’t catch the turn over.
cameraman: we cant see his lower torso or legs during the swing. just stand still dude
What are these good for?

Better camera angles and actual explanation of technique needed to be helpful
He did explain the key points. How much of a clinic do you want in 53 seconds?

43 dislikes make a video please to explain ;)
I broke my forearm doing this!!!
@Jcream101 I mean, that's why it's important to start at a safe weight before attempting anything beyond a swing.
So you were doing it wrong
Helpful tip: Not Apple Watch friendly. You’re welcome.
If you make a human movement video, show the whole body. Can barely see hips and that's key to the movement.
Exactly. Most of the power generated comes from the hip thrust.
Video way too close
Wow look at all the haters.
How many people knocked their front teeth out doing this method
you didnt explain anything
You look great but, now what?
too short of an instruction. :/
I could do that w 80 pound
too fast
swinging over hand like that is foolish
Do not do it the way this is shown please. Bad for your wrists and less efficient.
