I sometimes feel that your videos read my mind. :) Your shorts are coming at the right time. And you give valuable advice for the places where beginners might feel unsafe or confused. Thanks man!!!
I couldn't do a snatch with my weaker arm till I ate humble pie and started with an embarrassing small kb. It was too light to really activate the hinge properly, so started doing doubles with the light ones. That was the start of the journey. But I still find myself slipping into the much easier half-snatch. Patience...
And start with a lighter weight. Learn technique before you make the move a workout move. Biggest rookie mistake, doing new moves and working out with them at the same time.
I would not teach older people to do the snatch They have no body tension and first need to stand completely upright , hold their breath and brace the core That takes months to understand and also really do Goblet squat is perfect for that and the press There are so many excersices that make you fit and are hard enough The snatch is a very difficult excersice especially if you use higher weight and want to have good form without hurting yourself all the time And Nr1 Tip : Keep your arm tight and locked It helps so much with bringing the bell up and catching it easily
@@lebestark-official I agree with you Gregory. It might not be intended, but I find that comment rather insulting to older kettlebell users. I'm nearly 62 years old and had a triple heart by-pass 8 years ago. I also pick up numerous of injuries during my life before I started using kettlebells just a short few years ago. I snatch all the time...both hardstyle and sport style. Not alone that, I thought myself from a lot informative utube videos like yours. And i did it as you describe...I took my time, I used the appropriate weight, I was patient and took it step by step. More power to you Crystal. 💪

I use longer tennis wristbands...takes the edge off so I can concentrate on the movement better

The Snatch can be learned by anyone; regardless of age. - Gregory
