I just got one, DO NOT USE THE INCLUDED CHARGER! it tried blowing mine up by charging it over 4.3v! I reccomend a venom 4s

Insanely smooth with stock pids great roll rates I absolutely love it, the only thing are the props are too hard and don’t flex that much with stress after flights

I got the wizard, and I setup the AUX switches so i have arming, flight modes and beeper. And i have fully setup the drone and i have charged the battery and im ready to go :-) Great Video

Nice review, was interested in getting one when they first came out but saw that the arms were not fully carbon fiber and were breaking in the reviews i saw it's nice to see they have changed it back to full carbon fiber arms, I believe that SD card slot on the side might be for the black box recording.
That quad looks insanely fun! I have got to get my hands on one of those! I need that. I have just flown some hobby quadcopters, been flying for about 5 years and never tried anything like that, but it looks amazing! I am gonna save up

I realize this video is 2 and a half years old, but the reason it didn't auto-level when you let it fall @ 16:44 was because you have it set to stop the motors when no throttle is present. So after your punchout when you brought the throttle to 0, it started tumbling because no air mode was active to keep it upright. Since you were blipping the throttle instead of holding it, the FC didn't have a chance to correct its orientation before you cut throttle again. My wizard was doing this when I first started using it, but once I figured out the issue I changed the STOP MOTORS to off in Betaflight and now I can go 0 throttle while in Stability without tumbling! You do have to deal with props always spinning when armed though! :)
Not sure if the fall was due to propwash or a bad prop, but when coming down from a "punch up", I always come down doing a funnel or just apply forward pitch and throttle to avoid propwash(free fall due to turbulent air below) . That transmitter is very good, has a 1+ mile range with a good Flysky receiver. Easy to configure in Betaflight too. Great review as always!

i was the same way, honestly the best route is to buy the parts and build it yourself so in the event of a hard crash(which is very common) youll have a good understanding of how to repair. dont cheap out. spend the extra money and get quality parts. i wouldnt recommend the wizard to be hoenst
How to solve all Wizard X220S Problems!
- Replace the Receiver with an XM+ Receiver (Assembly them Horizontal in a 90° Degree on the Frame ABOVE the propellers), Your Receiver is faulty, starting from the first 1000 sell outs they selling the shitty receiver, wich like in mine and your case causes the VTX to drop Randomly....
- Solder to + - a Capacitator from Phillips FM Series 1000µf, this will fix your Battery Voltage flipping between 0.0 - 1.0 to 0.0 - 0.3 and prevent sudden Fail Safe + it makes your drone fly so much smoother mate!
- Flash above Betaflight 2.* vor the FPV drops

There were earlier version and released of this quad, the later version fixed the problem
N u t you can turn it on in the configurations tab and enable OSD, and the voltage display should be already setup for you, if you have this quad it should be able to have the vbat wiring done

I may buy a set of blades just to be sure, but I still gonna use the stock blades, I don't expect any more to let loose, there is no reason for them to.I will take her out again tomorrow, I think the winter really SUCKS. I end up with me head up me arse, it really effect's me bad winter.

Unfortunatelly it doesn’t ship to Indonesia. The aux switches is at the last of Menu System then it should set on aux channels from Menu Function. Anyway nice complete review as always.
I got arming on most right switch, and the modes on the second right 3 switch. Up is angle middle is horizon down is acro. You have to sign the aux channels to that particular switches. In the menu of the tx. And then sign that aux channels to the modes in betaflight.

Hey man i just wanted to chime in....you can get some blue locktite and apply it to the screw threads....that will hold them if you use the red one itll be harder to take off.

I’d recommend the RISE Vusion V2 or V1 over this. It’s RTF and it is very good. They are hard to find though.

in self level mode, if you zero the throttle at the end of the punch the props will stop, if it rotates beyond the control axis with zero prop control it is very difficult to recover. the self leveling does not deal with that so well.

I believe the SD card slot is for black box recording the flight data not the fpv feed.

Mine had let loose 1 blade already, I have the X220.I don't expect it - my Bugs 6 and 3 mini are 1/3 rd the price and don't let loose a single blade in 6 months +. I do not conside 145 pounds a cheap quad, it's a big outlay and I expect it to be par excellence in every respect.I will get a few more 3 S LIPO's as I have 2 already, but I expect this thing to be PERFECT in every respect.

Hey Austin, first of all great video I've watch it to the end, I found out about this hobby lately and after I watched A LOT of fpv video, I felt like I need to get to this hobby, putting the goggles on gives you the feeling of flying and being up in the sky (and I like heights I've always wished to have wings 🤣) so I've already downloaded a simulator 2 weeks and I'm starting to get the hang of it, so I was looking through CZcams videos also in aliexpress and amazon to find the cheapest best fpv drone that I can get (I live in Morocco so investing more than 300usd is a big deal for me) I found some really cheap set for between 60-100euros but I guess they wont give me the feeling I'm looking for in this hobby. So maybe I've found the right one in your video, with 150euros I can get a decent fpv drone and a remote control, so I'm wondering here if you can recommend me a not expensive goggles that can record and don't harm my eyes?! Anyway keep up the good work 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽✌🏼
Eachine EV800DM. A great starter kit is the Tinyhawk II RTF kit, and comes with everything you need. Just remember, this is a very expensive hobby, just because you can buy things doesn't mean you can afford it. It's also worth investing in decent gear. If you have questions do ask me. Best of luck!

I really enjoyed that review👍AMAZING punch test! Best yet i think. the mk2 is all round better than mk1 but still more improvements needed for the mk3. Props too close to the body scuffing and it fell out the sky once presume bad props, needs rebuilding before flight encase screws are loose. Beeper not working. Set up for controller was needed. Ext ext. I love how you say you are a beginner all the time😂 PRO in my book! I can't even fly mode 2 though so don't take that as a great compliment but you are an all star! Love the new FPV goggles with built in camera so you don't have to take them off, good idea! I think I may get a little race quad they look like great fun but mode 2 controller only?! I will find a good value for money one based on your reviews. Your the best!

Dustin Dunnill I have seen your blue taranis I looks amazing I knew it would be the one worth buying. I didn't realise you can use mode 1 as the left gimbal stick isn't spring loaded? or is that the whole point for pro style taranis ect they are both not spring loaded? I didn't realise / notice if so. The little 90gt bug looking quad I remember you doing looked good. And the vifly130 I liked. So many to choose from now days! Tech is moving as fast as you are releasing new videos! Awsum!

Great vid as usual, How do you think this new version compares to the Waller’s F210?
The walkera is a bit better quality and a better tune out of the box but the wizard is great bang for the buck if you can do some tweaking.
Hey man! Love the video! I have been flying mavic for a few years and want to step it up. I’ve tried searching google but there is just too much info out there to keep the fpv game simple for beginners. Do you mind replying to this comment with some links for everything I would need from the receivers, transmitters, cables etc...... I can get a pair of fatsharks and be done needing goggles for a long time, but as far as connecting it all together with the drone and controller that this kit comes with, I don’t know what else I need. I want to try and run everything without a monitor if that’s at all possible. Thanks a lot man!!
Turn off airmode, all the bugs aren't out of it. Esp. if you hit a branch it will tumble and go crazy.
Don't use the search channel feature, set it to the exact right channel :) Runcam 5 Orange is looking pretty good. Liftoff is your friend.
I would say that crash was caused by bad tune... You caught either a strong propwash after slowing down the fall after punch or your airmode was off... Eitherway when you added more throttle because of bad tuning the quad didn't try enough to compensate the error and wasn't able to self-level

When you were trying to take control and you said you "punched it" when trying to take control. Well would that not create a vortex with the increased speed of the props and actually drag you down quicker?
