    Do you know where I can find the uniform regulation or NAVADMIN on wearing braces in uniform?

    I was told I couldn’t get braces because the military doesn’t do them 🙁. Are there specific bases that do it? Because NAS Whidbey Island ain’t do it for me. But they did it for a friend. I have crowding and and overbite

      I’m not sure if certain bases do it I just know you have to on shore duty and have to get recommended by the dental doc.

    Thank you sir for your service and I have been very interested in signing up for the Navy for a while. I am 32 and am not going to wait much longer. I have a couple questions if I may? First is, if the orthodontist makes the decision that you don't need braces because it's not that bad,could you request for invisalign? And second, does the military offer Lasik? Thank You and hope you and your family is safe always 🙏

    • @theofficialdaveharris8794
      @theofficialdaveharris8794  Před 3 lety +3

      Yes join as soon as you can you won’t regret it. And you can get Invisalign anytime you want you just have to pay for it yourself. The military will not pay for Invisalign. You can get lasik for free in the military. My LOZo just got lasik eye surgery.

    My son had his taken out a month before he started his freshman year in h.s. Glad he got them done before joining. I always tell him to get his teeth cleaned and exam annually. Especially now when he starts going out to sea duty

      @@theofficialdaveharris8794 Left last January. Finishes Dam Neck next month and back to Great Lakes for a month. Then Japan. He doesn't eat much candy and does not drink soda. So he will only have to keep up with his cleaning. Drinks water with everything.

    Please Sir. I have bachelor degree in marketing. As a green card holder, can I join the US navy with the marketing degree?
    If yes, will I be going through the enlisting or straight to officer?

      That’s something you would have to ask a recruiter about because I’m not too sure and don’t want to give you the wrong info.

    CS2 Harris ... I’m an E2 and I just graduated Great Lakes about two weeks ago. At the moment I’m across the street in A school , and I have a dentist appointment on 20 APR 21 for a teeth cleaning. I am in desperate need of braces and I am planning on talking to the dentist as soon as I can about it. I know you have to have shore duty in order to get braces .. but I’m currently in A school ( just started A school ) and am not sure where my next command will be, so my question is will the Navy make sure to give me shore duty if I’m told by a dentist in A school that I need braces ? ( I most certainly will qualify for braces ) please get back to me as soon as you can and or maybe can refer me to somebody who can help. Thank you. I hope to one day have a smile like yours !!!

    • @theofficialdaveharris8794
      @theofficialdaveharris8794  Před 3 lety

      No the dentist will not recommend you for shore duty so that you can get brace. You just will have to wait your turn. I have seen people get lucky and go to shore duty first then sea duty so that might be you!

      I’m a DC , but the thing is my teeth have recently been starting to bother me and at times I am in pain. Being that the dentist cannot recommend me for shore duty, but is it a possibility that if braces is something I need medically, will that increase my chances of getting shore duty for my first command upon completing A school ?
