    This tool is brilliant. I converted 1 sq ft. Of scrap leather into 60ft of free lace. Has anyone checked the crazy price of lace on a roll lately?

      It only really works with a specific type of leather. I’ve only had good results from oil tan.

    You said oil tanned works the best. What if I have piles of leather scraps, is there any way to recognize or test for oil tanned? What oz. do you prefer?
    Thank you for the best lace cutting video sir.

    • @darknessfierce4209
      @darknessfierce4209 Před 8 měsíci

    Inspires me to stop buying precut lace for my projects. Will buy through your link. Do you think it will cut 8oz veg tan or too heavy?

    • @dead_hidden
      @dead_hidden  Před 5 lety

      The stiffer leather seems to do the best. The problem you’ll run into is it fitting in the slot between the top and bottom. If it fits for height, you should be able to cut it no problem. The blade can be easily changed. I only use the second slot from the top, so I flip my blade over once before changing it.

    • @dead_hidden
      @dead_hidden  Před 4 lety

      Yes, there are several variations of strap cutters, but they don’t cut spirals. They cut long straight strips anywhere from 1/8” to 4” wide.
