That was great, thanks for posting. I find all your videos really helpful.
most concise and most informational video on the subject. can't wait for my lace making gizmo to come in the post
Thank you for taking the time to show us the proper way to use this cool tool.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have been making lace with that darn thing for many, many many years. And, I have been doing it wrong (no one to teach me back then). After watching your video, learning to get it started, etc. I started making lace faster and better than I ever have. Had to force myself to quit before I used up my "scrap" leather. Hawk.
I wish I could give you 2 thumbs up. I have one of these and lost the instructions. Now I know how to use it. Thank you!
That darn thing has been a pain in my butt for a long time now. Thanks for the tips. I would like to see a video on the different kinds of lace (Superior, Kodiak, Latigo) and what they are generally used for and not used for.
Another tool I must have! Thank you for the demo!
Ah, that magical moment when the blade bites and the leather starts to spin. Very satisfying. It makes you want to hunt out all your scraps and make them into lace.
Too often there are some false starts and bad language at the beginning, but that point where it starts to work is brilliant.
I usually cheat at the start and cut myself a tail inside the circle, which I then poke through the gap and off it goes.
I cant get it to bite, all I get is a chewed up circle in vegtan, uggh
Amazing!! I tried it earlier before watching your video and had the blade pointed in the wrong direction. Works great now after your great instructions. Thanx
As usual you were a great help Kevin! Thank you for your time
I did it...on first try...and I'm just a girl!!! Made lace from medium temper 5oz bison...yay me!!! I luv this tool and find it much easier than the table mount. Thanks for the tutorial video!!!
I was only wondering how this thing works, but now I am seriously considering leather-working as a hobby.
Very expensive hobby. You'll realize quickly. After 40 years I hate to even guess how much in tools I've invested but many K.
You have totally sold me on this little item. I've got to try it. Thanks! (I think...)
thank for the guide, just got one of the and needed the info
thank you.. it took me a couple of tries but i got it. tried too soft leather first but changed to a stiffer piece , got it, than switched back and got exactly want i wanted...
Thanks for the detailed instruction
How do you put the blade in?
Great! I would like 2 buy one tool like this

Kevin
Can you please show the process of using this lace maker on Buckskin? I'm trying to make 1/4" wide lace from Buckskin for neck knife sheathes. I've tried every method I know of, but none of them work? I figured this is my best bet? Thank you.
God bless:
Stoney
Is there any way to straighten the lace out some so it doesn't have to much of a curl?
Buen video , tiene en venta ? Qué precio tiene ? Y cuánto por el envío a Sabinas , Coahuila , México
Will that lace maker make lace for making wallets?
will this tool work on rawhide?
Without any preparation, no--the rawhide will break the blade. You can wet the rawhide to make it more pliable and then wait for it to be "just right"--not too dry or wet, but almost dried out, where it's pliable like leather.
