  • Hi everyone,
    Today I want to show you how to make round leather lace without any specific tool. I am going to use just 2 simple nails, piece of wood and blade, thats all what we need. It is easy just you need to have some practices. It is also possible to improve this technic by adding something to keep the knife stable. I hope you will like it, and you will use it in your projects
    Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoyed. If you have any question please ask in the comments. See you in the next video.
    Herkese Merhaba.
    Bugün sizlere deri yuvarlak sırımın özel bir alet kullanmadan nasıl yapıldığını göstermek istiyorum. Sadece 2 adet çivi, bir parça tahta ve maket bıçağı na ihtiyacımız olacak. Yapması gayet kolay sadece biraz pratik yapmak gerekiyor. Bu tekniği, bıçağı sabit tutmak için düzeneğe bir kaç parça ekleyerek geliştirmek mümkün. Umarım beğenir ve bu tekniği sizde projelerinizde kullanırsınız.
    İzlediğiniz için teşekkürler, umarım hoşunuza gitmiştir. Herhangi bir sorunuz varsa yorumlarda sorabilirsiniz. Bir sonraki videoda görüşmek üzere.

    Could I recommend another way, if you cut the lace just like you did, or any other way you like. To round the lace either wet like you did or slick with water and saddle soap, next you need a piece of 1cm thick wood or board with a hole drilled through it. You then take one end of your lace and cut it to a point then feed it through the hole in the wood then you just pull the lace through the hole. It usually takes a couple of times through the hole, but it does leave it very round. Hope that helps

      @@samuelsimard1717 in case you are interested, what I have is a piece of plywood with a variety of hole diameters. That way you just use the hole that is the correct size. It also helps to use some sand paper to smooth the edges of the holes if the edges are too sharp it can roughen you leather strips. Hope this helps

      @@Handles-R-Lame no worries, they usually refer to the part I need as a treadle belt. It's just a long leather cord with a staple securing both ends to each other.       @@leatherhandmade8172 You do not understand the meaning of this method my friend, this technic has not required any special tool as i wrote in the title, as far as i know it is the simplest way to make round lace, if you roll enough, you can create accapteble meters of round lace, the vidoe you send another method to do it but i do not agree it is better;
      because
      1 - you can create only short lace, in the method i shared you can create really long laces using very little amount of leather, becouse i use round leather
      2- also thickness is matter in the method that you sent, thickness dimension has to be more than hole,
      3- and last you waste leather in that method, but maybe it is not so important amount:)
      i used finishing polish at the end, possible to use tokonele as well.
