    Thanks a lot for great comparison, also love that you showed the play both without and with amp.

    Maybe it's the chord progression? But it sounds so bright in a positive way. Well, perhaps maple/spruce is supposed to produce bright and lively sound afterall.

    6/8/21. I have had a Cordoba Fusion 12 cedar/mahogany for around two months. I thought I'd like the warm mellow sound of the cedar, which I do, but then I heard a maple and loved it! Am I going to part with my cedar? No way! I'm going to let it teach me to play and get the best from it! It's awesome in it's own ways, with it's own sounds!

      Do they sound very different?

    To my ear, the Fusion12 is the better sounding guitar. I snagged a like new one used at $500 and am delighted.

      It is my understanding that the bridge was moved on the 14 to accommodate the extra two fret design. The body of the 12 meets at the 12th fret while the body of the 14 meet the body at the 14th fret. This alters the sound especially when played acoustically. I too prefer the sound of the Fusion 12 Maple when compared to the 14.

    Good video with great recording sound. Which strings have used on two guitars . the same or not ? Standard Cordoba factory are Savarez Cristal Corum High Tension 500CJ for gk studio and Savarez Alliance /Cantiga High Tension 510AJ for fusion 12 maple ? or other like D'Addardio , etc... ?
    Yhanks for answer- Bye from Italy

    hello, about this beautiful piece at the beginning of the vidéo called "riding", who is the composer/original player? where does it come from? (album or guitar method) i'd like to find the tabs. Thanks

    for me the GK studio is more clear . I prefer it

    • @gunscratch
      @gunscratch Před 3 lety +1

      Really? I perceived the exact opposite! For me the maple body was much clearer and brighter. But I'm still in both camps as to whether that's a good thing or not. With steel string guitars I often find maple bodies just too bright, bordering on harsh but with the nylon string it seems a nice balance.

      Remember the gk is flamenco style so the body is thin and bright attack sound I own the same blanca gk not pro. The fusion is more deep projection both are awesome love em

      @@jeffarab4947 own the 12 maple and it does have a nice boomy bass to it, it actually sounds like a blend between steel and nylon sometimes which makes sense but is still pretty cool lol

    Very nice. The 12 confused me. I thought it was a 12 string!
    12 fret model!

    • @pnojazz
      @pnojazz Před 8 lety +3

      +DMSProduktions it's the 12 as opposed to the Fusion 14 model. The 12 has a more traditional classical guitar feel and shorter fretboard, and the Fusion 14 has a longer fretboard and action more in line with a traditional steel string guitar players

    ehich of the two do you prefer playing? trying to decide between the fusion 12 orchestra or the Gk studio. the fusion sounds more round tone.

    • @DougHinVA
      @DougHinVA Před 7 lety +1

      r.... I owned a GK Studio Negra and now own a Fusion 12 Spruce on Rosewood. I prefer the Fusion.... better built and better tuners and has better tone (not as 'dark' tone) and is more versatile. I found mine barely used at $500 to the door through a pal. The current Cordobas are better guitars than the ones a few years back.

    • @kingstumble
      @kingstumble Před 5 lety +1

      They sound very similar. I would suggest the main difference would be in feel. All Fusion models have narrower necks---48mm. Cordoba claim they are aimed at guitar players who is more used to playing steel string guitars and that a narrower neck would be more familiar to them.

      different instruments.. flamenco brightness and lower action w 50mm nut vs classical rich tones but w even more of a crossover neck
