I just ordered one, as a celebration of an achievement. My first acoustic purchase in over 20 years, within which I've bought multiple hard body electrics. Your video was important effecting my purchase choice. I thank you sincerely and will never forget your video here. Thanks man, and God bless you.
Just an update on my Negra studio... absolutely beautiful guitar at this price! I haven't practiced as much with any other guitar - just can't put it down - a pleasure to play.
Awesome review. I like the details of how the electronics work. I've been on the fence about what guitar to buy for my first attempt at Flamenco but I think this clinches it.
11 years old that is still a lovely guitar and I'm happy that the company makes left handed model I would love it to have stainless steel frets but nylon should be ok
If you are considering buying this guitar, find a local shop that has both the GK Studio and GK Pro models. Play them one after the other... and you will go for the Pro, guaranteed (assuming you can afford the price difference.) I did just that and was amazed at how much better the Pro sounded and the "feel" of it in my hands.
Thanks! It's very loud, enough for a small group of 10 people or more. I usually have a soundhole cover on it when I played live, but it's definitely good volume completely acoustic.
Nice video! Would love to play that guitar, low action, nice sounding, well constructed 👌🏼a few months ago i bought a nylon string guitar, cheap and low profile , but it sounds pretty good, i think i should upload something with it. Cheers 🎸🎸
I recently got a GK Studio Negra and I love it! Obviously not a luthier grade guitar but you get a quality instrument for your buck! One modification I’m considering is getting rid of the under saddle piezo pickup and making a new bone saddle that makes full contact with the bridge/soundboard. There’s a great debate about whether that actually improves the sound/tone or does anything at all. lol Just curious if you have an opinion on that. Thanks
I have this guitar, love it. I raised the bridge a little as it was too raspy (perfect for street flamenco) but I needed it for general music with some classical. I could use some advise if you could, I have to play in a wedding outdoors and I have never used the electronics. Imagine it's a normal yard size and I will be close to the attendees (only 20). I have to travel via air, so I hope I can use a small practice amp. I will be playing Canoni in D as the entry song. Any suggestions on electronics?
Silly question: Would You think upgrading the Pickup to a "LR Baggs Anthem Soundhole Microphone/Undersaddle Acoustic Guitar Pickup", or to a Fishman "matrix infinity mic blend pickup preamp system" would make a difference ?
Hi, sorry seeing this late. Those are both good mics, but to be totally honest.. when it comes to mics/ pickups in acoustic instruments.. it doesn't matter much since the signal will be edited elsewhere via a PA or EQ etc. Maybe a hot take, but I don't think they matter much unlike electric guitar pickups. Just my opinion!
Hi powbobs. Somehow you are right. Actually I bought a gk studio negra just today. It has a taping plate and in the original web site its in the flamenco section. So i thought it is flamenco guitar But when i played it, it sounds more bass than brighter like blanca. I think company giving wrong information. They company should clarify the thing that its more classical guitar than flamenco. Reply if you read this comment.
@@SAGAR0606 Flamenco Negra’s are not as bright as blancas. But they are definitely flamenco guitars and have been around for a long time. There is a GL Studio blanca version also. You should exchange it if you’re looking for the cypress sound.
Just got one! Fifth guitar-“beginner” at 63. This guitar is far above what I’ve ever played. Hope the quality keeps me going this time!
Great vid Jesse! I just bought one of these! It blows my £1500 Classical out the water.

Great review. How is the projection purely acoustic. In other words is it loud with out amp.
Thanks man

4:26 which soundtrack is this? You played so nicely 👌🏻
Thank you, that's an original called "Path Of Kuroi Kitsune"
@@JessesAuditorium thank you👍🏻
Doesnt ren gill use this exact guitar in hi ren? Please answer 🙏
His looks like the GK Studio Negra which is the newer version with Rosewood back and sides.
how is this vs the negra?

@@JessesAuditorium Thanks ...sorry i saw this only today....
What y’all think? Should I get this guitar or the cordoba stage? 😊
Flamenco guitars have very low action.
It’s classical guitars which have high action.
Flamenco players like a bit of fret buzz when we dig in.

How is it for not playing flamenco? Like classical pieces.
I use it for classical pieces as well, the cutaway and low action / thin neck make for a comfortable experience for playing classical!
@@JessesAuditorium Thanks for your answer. I am considering this guitar. Greetings from Norway
Its nice but the E And A strings Sound bad after a while I even changed the strings somone plz tell me why!
What is the Cordoba classical equivalent to this flamenco model
The c7 ce probably.
@@davidhamm8888 K.thank you I'll check on it.
Whats the difference to the GK Negra?
Thinner neck, Rosewood back and sides.
What do you have inside the sound hole?
That's a soundhole cover made by Cordoba themselves. Reduces feedback.
@@JessesAuditorium Thank you!
I've had this guitar and I regret buying it. Better to pay more and get a good real flamenco guitar.
Bạn có thể cho biết lý do và nhược điểm của cây đàn vì sao bạn không thích nó, thanks
