IMO Clocks and Speed of Sound are among the top 10 songs of their DECADE

I completely agree! When I first heard Coldplay, I was hooked. I remember how refreshing it was to listen to a band that played actual instruments again. They are all so talented, and the combination of the members is magical!
My Mom's favorite Coldplay album. I love how the drums sounds like they're traveling, unrelenting...the emphasis on the beats, the sweeping swells. Those high treble synths soaring over the lower frequencies in the chorus. That contrast, with Chris Martin right in the center...that's where they hit gold. That sound.
I haven't heard a lot of their latest stuff, and I keep telling myself...I gotta get back into them.
Yessss looove old Coldplay. Oh I miss them. This was stellar. At their best. Beautiful. 👌🏼😭 Trouble. Warning Sign. Anything in their early years. A Rush of Blood to the Head is their best album.

X and Y is an album filled with masterworks and perfect melodies. Songs all over the place with intense feelings. The negative reviews of the record at the time were outrageous.
"White Shadows" is also a good song by coldplay.

I am a sixty plus uk lady that has seen the best especially in the seventies ie led zeppelin, pink Floyd etc but this band is the best of all best, love love love them they give you the feel good felling every time

I never heard this more than a few times as I and never knew the bands name, this is lovely and everything about it is lovely to listen to. I love the fact that Chris Martin brought back piano into the mainstream. I don't care what the haters say I happen to love Coldplay especially their early stuff. Their lyrics and melodies are absolutely incredible 🖤🖤🖤

They actually really surprised me last night, Chris actually began playing this acousticly, but he thought it wasn’t very good so decided to stop halfway through, it was good
Lot of people hate on Coldplay, but they'll have mass appeal as long as they carry on writing these total earworms of melodies.

I am a massive Coldplay fan. I’d love to see you react to more of their music. The “problem” is that they have SO MANY great songs that it’s hard to choose just one. I actually made a ringtone out of the song's intro, so I hear it every time somebody calls me. I would like to see your reaction to Poets of the Fall, a Finnish band. You could start with "Carnival of Rust." Everybody does. I recommend the official music video first, before any live versions.

I was an early adoptee on Coldplay way back when Yellow came out -- another band of that time, Bloc Party, won me over, though (you might like them) and I sort of fell out of touch with Coldplay. so apparently you have a thing for coldplay ;) you should check adventure of a lifetime, lovers in japan and princess of china! and life in technicolor II, the video alone is worth a watch. lost+ is a collab with jay z that is pretty awesome. in 2009 i saw them live in wembley and jay z was actually their support. he introduced empire state of mind back then. they also sang lost+ together. there are still some videos from that concert online.
