This is my favorite song of theirs. I also really love "A Rush Of Blood To The Head", "White Shadows", "Fix You" and "Everything's Not Lost"... much prefer earlier Coldplay to the more recent one. They remind me of U2 a lot... lot's of great stuff early on and then they start to lose that spark of what made them great.
Which is funny because x and y was when the label pressured them and after that with viva and mylo they made music that they always wanted to make after a rush of blood but the record blocked them and just asked them to remake a rush of blood and then you got critics bullying them and Chris took it all personally

I remember hearing the song "What If" when we were still a family on long car trips, it has the line "what if you should decide that you don't want me here in your life" and thinking that would be awful. Now 10 years + after divorce it seems like a prophecy!
The most beautiful part about coldplay is that you can relate to it and its beautiful and thats what great musicians do man they take their fans on a journey with them
I'd love to see you try One Day Like This by Elbow. It's such a wonderfully uplifting song in a similar style to Coldplay. Orchestral, guitar led, British pop rock.

I’d really like to see you react to A Sky Full Of Stars next - I think you would absolutely love it! It’s a fantastic song, but so is Adventures Of A Lifetime and many more! I’d agree with other comments in that I also think you’d love Paradise as well. Watching your reactions to Coldplay has made me appreciate them even more - I’m not a hardcore fan, nor do I own much of their music, but they are definitely one of the most under appreciated bands going.
