Their entire album A Rush of Blood to the Head is so so good (Clocks and The Scientist are both on it)... From beginning to end, it's awesome. I think I have less than ten entire albums that I could put on repeat and never tire of and this is one.
agreed! I don't know what it is but the song 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' makes me so emotional. I love the build up towards the end. One of my favorite albums. 'In My Place' is also a classic
fantastic song, although the scientist, even though it's so popular, has to be #1 for me. Such a freaking good song everything about it is perfect. Also God put a smile upon your face

I haven’t heard a lot of Coldplay, but this is one song where the first time I heard it, I fell in love. There’s something special about the drums and piano, the mood it sets. I saw them live once at a festival and was honestly blown away, they put on a fantastic live show. If you ever get a chance to see them, I recommend it. I wasn’t even a fan and I got swept up.
I saw them about 10 years ago and it was a fantastic experience! They gave everyone a light up wristband and they were all switched on remotely during certain songs after the sun had gone down
Ricoh Arena 2012 is the one I went to, once they finished Viva La Vida we all carried on chanting the chorus until they started Charlie Brown and all the wrist bands lit up at once. I'll never forget that gig!
That first pause around 2:20 was the most diplomatic way of answering the people who really REALLY seem to loathe Coldplay for always 'sounding like themselves.' Genuine musical enjoyment outranks musical snobbery; this music is simple, melodic, and evocative--like traditional folk music or even early Classical stuff like Telemann or Rameau or maybe Clementi.
