This intro is so so good. You're as good as some of the best history or lore channels
Thank you so much! I've had a lot of practice by now: this is the fifth playthrough I'm doing which has the voiceover intros (Young Stag, Bolton, Blackfyre, Ice Dragon). One day I'll make some actual history videos, or maybe a podcast, if I can find the time.
@@JJLGamingNL I'd love to see you make lore videos on ASOIAF.
I’m glad you actually covered this. I believe the fanfiction of the story is still updated but you recapped everything perfectly. Honestly I’m excited to see how the series is going to progress.
Ah, you know the original? I read it a few months ago and quickly realized it would make for a fun CK2 run.
that recap was perfect and made me incredibly happy
These kinds of comments make me incredibly happy as well. Thanks, Freddie, hope you enjoy!
By far this is one of the peak storyline intros & narrative role play campaigns I've ever seen.
This is going to be a epic series and the dragonhunt mod is awesome dude, great work JLL
Great intro and backstory, looking forward to the rest of the series
LETS GOO I THOUGHT THIS WAS OVER IVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH MY MAN YOU HAVE NO IDEA 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Damn, that's the kind of comment I wanna see! Yeah, took a bit of a break, but we're back. Enjoy!
Atlast your back
Awesome idea!
A mercenary army invading Essos from Westeros and not the other way around for once is very fun.
Loved the storytelling, though I feel kinda bad for Rhaegar. Dude is having just the *worst* time XD
Bobby B has no mercy for dragonspawn!
Hail Robert Baratheon! He who hunts the dragons shall change the world.
Video's looking good, eventful start to the series with so many free cities joining Myr's side and so glad to see it come together since when I first learnt about the idea back in (I think) January. Also I recognise that multiplayer Vale save game anywhere, long live the Father of the Realm XD
Hi Warlord! Yeah, that was a fun time.
@@JJLGamingNL should do it again sometime lol, probably be even more chaotic than last time XD
I'd love to see a CK2 Seven Kingdoms Mod campaign. Set during the Andal Invasions.
Okay... This is super cool!
Cool! Loved it
Yeah back to CK2 and More GOT! Great Job JJL.
Thanks Kyle!
Holy shit another jjl banger
When you capture rhaegar you going to chop of his man hood torcher him and string him around like reek better then killing him or putting him in the dungeon
We shall see :) as usual I'll try to roleplay the character, so if Robert is cruel and wrothful, yes, but if he loses those traits before we get Rhaegar, then probably not.
@@JJLGamingNL I see I try to roleplay ends in failure most of the time
Dude, what a great video! I'm glad you're back with the channel.
I'm getting to know more about CK2 with you and I hope someday to see your gameplays in 3.
I didn't know you had disappeared to design a mod in CK2, so I ask you to consider one day making a make-in-off video commenting on how it was to create the mod and where you were tweaking and configuring it, I think it's worth it It's a shame and at least for people who don't know how to create a mod (like me), this can be a kick.
Anyway, thanks for the excellent video. Hugs from a fan of yours!
Thank you, Victor! I did consider making a short series on how to mod CK2, and I might still do that in the future. Even though Paradox did their best to make the game easy to mod, as I found out it can be quite difficult to find any 'beginner-friendly' modding info online, especially for more specific mods like this one.
Happy you enjoy, and thanks for the suggestions! CK3 is a while off still, I want to get a feel for the game first before I do more videos on it.
@@JJLGamingNL Well, I'm looking forward to this video on how you made and worked on this mod.
I'm sure it's going to be another epic series!
I think the roleplay you do is incredible and especially the incredible introductions at the beginning of every episode. Congratulations on the sensational work you have done, friend.
yay more ck 2, glad your playing this rather then ck3 to be honest in its current state i consider the ck3 mod to be not that good as its buggy and missing a lot of features(though i dont hold it over the developers theyve done good work), so ill wait on it for now, also i love the alternate history
Yeah, like I said in the 'first look' vid for the CK3 mod, the CK2 mod had such a long development time you can't really blame the CK3 AGOT developers for not immediately aiming for that level of complexity. And the first version of the CK2 AGOT mod wasn't very complex yet either. I'll give it time.
Yeyyyyyyyyy his back
Amazing work JJL! I'm really in love with this series! I'm guessing that your thoughts are to end the series with Robert's death or the completion of his objective, but there may be some potential involved in a Stag King of the East! Anyway, I wanted to suggest you to marry some of your people, especially Ned, seeing as he's in love. More heirs will mean that you:
1) create your own houses of the East;
2) less probability of losing land to Westeros if, for example, Ned dies and Benjen inherits.
All the best, I'm so into this series!
Glad you enjoy the content, Eli! I haven't quite decided on how to end the series. The custom casus belli's I made are just for Lys, Tyrosh, Myr and Volantis, but looking at the speed at which things are progressing that might make for too short a series. We may well go go for a Stag Emperor!
I've already recorded next episode. Will be up in about one minute in fact :) and I do marry off some of our courtiers in that, including Ned.
Sounds like this has some "The Great Crusades" inspiration
It doesn't as far as I know. What is "The Great Crusades"?
This is so fucking dope
wait this is based off a fanfic
Yep! Linked in the description :)
Small idea, if you capture Deanerys merry her to Robert, 'you took my wife and now I take your sister' short of revenge
Dany is a bit young for Robert. But perhaps his son... There'd be a poetic irony in it for sure.
@@JJLGamingNL Jeaherys the third of house Targaryan being raised as the foster son of Robert Baratheon. This has some ring to it I gonna admit
I really think your story telling style would better suit the andal invasion eras where anything can happen and you just build up the kingdom
We're going to be doing something similar next series :)
Nice work and an interesting scenario, my only stipulation is that I don't think Robert could have defeated both Arthur Dayne and Gerrold Hightower. Potentially he could have defeated one of the two but not both. But otherwise interesting story though I personally HATE Robert as a character mainly because he basically is to blame for a lot of the problems in the setting as of the current time. Essentially if he had been less of a whoremonger then I'm not sure the Rebellion would have occured Lyanna's main reason for eloping with Rhaegar outside of love was due to Robert's wenching and not wanting to be in an unhappy marriage and considering how he treated Cersei I don't think its hard to say he'd have treated Lyanna much differantly. Also I cannot support a man that condones child murder say what you will about the Targaryens but Rhaeger never advocated for killing children, but how he reacted to how Aegon, Elia and Rhaenys were treated makes the man permanently unlikable, none of those three did ANYTHING wrong and he was happy that the Mountain murdered them.
Oh sure, Robert is not a good person at all. Good character though, at least IMO.
Robert didn't beat Arthur Dayne and Gerold Hightower btw: he beat Arthur Dayne, and Gerold Hightower was a one-two punch by Howland Reed and Ned. Still a bit of a stretch but hopefully more realistic than Robert killing both of them.
@@JJLGamingNL True I nearly forgot that. Though actually I think it should have been the other way around where Robert beat the White Bull and Ned and Howland beat Arthur as they did in the original timeline. I think Arthur could have exploited Robert's temper to get an advantage whereas Ned was not one for rash action but makes a better diversion.
Ah yes...Got, started by 1 teen girl and a prince being idiots thus leading to a rebellion, a war and finally a new kingdom.
Yet the fans defend the relationship as if its a twlight movie
idk about that exactly? Because I always thought it was implied that Robert loved Lyanna in a way that didn't really regard her as herself that much, as much as centred it all on *him*self. And that aspect of him would have been a major contribution to why he decided to be the catalyst for the rebellion - outraged love, yes, but also outraged pride, if he viewed the person he loved as kind of... *his*, not wholly a separate person from himself.
Like, it's not as though one decision was made and that's it, war's inevitable. People like Robert had to make decisions too - and I feel like he could easily fit that same definition of young people being idiots, if his likely motivation is taken into account.
Is t bellegere otherys one of Aegon 4’s mistresses?
The original one, yes. This is one of her descendants. I think Arya meets her or hears about her in the books.
The story goes that aegon IV slept with a courtesan named bellegere the black pearl and had a bastard daughter. He legitimised her along with all his other bastards then she had a daughter, and she had a daughter and so on and they're all courtesans named black pearl
Wow this would be an infinitely better story than the crap that George wrote
