- In the 7th episode of The Sims 3 details and features I share even more amazing details and features that prove just how underrated this game is, at least in the details department. I'm pretty confident this is the longest detail showcase episode I've ever released on any Sims title, but I hope you'll still enjoy it. The sims 2 is very detail. Sims 3 is detail enough. Sims 4 less detail
It's detailed great gameplay loved open world just the Sims themselves in appearance weren't my fave, the clothing/hair was mostly ugly so was build mode. Didn't like building in the Sims 3 at all.

The changing into pijama also applies when the sim has going to sleep interaction in the queue :D
I've also noticed sims changing into their career outfits autonomously if they bathe before going to work
I never understood why in the other Sims games if the Sims took showers/baths before bed, they'd wear their everyday clothes after. It always annoyed me.
As someome who's been playing the sims since a kid from ts1 to ts4, the sims 3 is the best to me. The only things that hold it back are just the lagginess and the graphic (the sims graphic to be precise)

I only experience lag in build-and-buy and in Isla Paradiso. I’m pretty sure there’s a mod for helping with the lag. I’m not sure if it might be dangerous or not idk.
Have you tried the smoothness patch? It helps like a ton and other mods too
On a gaming laptop it's fast. Works well on mine, I think its depends on computer models, specs etc.
Sims 3 is one of the best games ever made, despite some performance issues. The amount of content and things to do is impressive. Sims 4 is just an insult to the saga and to this game

@@jeancarlo3608by installing a smooth patch. It will reduce every cause of lag and reduce loading time, making the game more enjoyable
A few things - (that you probably know, but heh)
1- You can have ghost babies (only in the Sims 3 I believe)
2-If a childish Sim or child has a teddy in their inventory while sleeping they get a moodlet for it
3-Brooding and Neurotic Sims autonomously look out of windows
4-When in CAS, your Sims may actually tell you what they like. Choosing different tops/bottoms they will react differently if they like it or not
5-I like having a doctor in the family because they can predict a pregnant Sim's baby's gender!

You know how vampires can offer to turn sims into a vampire right?
Now usually if the sim accepts they get biten in the arm.
But , when they are in any way romanticaly ivolved with the vampire (romantic interest or above) the vampire will gently push down their outstretched arm and "lovingly" bite their neck instead.
Also vampire sims won't turn your sim into a vampire if there's other sims around to witness it. . . another nice little detail

Imagine a life simulation game that actually has depth, consequences for your actions, unique animations and personalities that actually give a sim quirks and new things to do. The Sims 4 tried this and failed. I feel bad for the people who won't give Sims 3 a try just because they are hung up on the cartoony graphics of Sims 4, and let's be honest that is what it is for most of them. Plus I think a lot of people who are into Sims 4 are mainly just builders, since that's all it's really good for anyway. 😂 I will always play Sims 3 for the story and depth of the game, also it runs better than Sims 4 does at the moment. 😂

I'm playing Sims 3 right now. I'm on my 9th generation in my sim family (I played the save file for 45 in game weeks)
They like sims 4 just because have "graphics" . C'mon, the sims 3 is better and have fun!

If you buy a candle (in that store where you buy a rubber duck) and put it onto the bathtub your sim will get a relaxed moodlet after bathing
Wait, Sims will sing the foreign song whenever they want like while cooking not just fishing.

Foreign songs spread like a plague! A child will know a song if they're related to a foreign sim and thanks to story progression, at least 1/3 of the town will be singing those songs EVERYWHERE. I think they sing when: idle, cooking, showering, bathing and fishing 😭
I covered some of those options in an earlier episode. They do it while showering, taking a bath, cooking, fishing and perhaps something else too
The idea that sims can randomly start singing is so fun!! I personally love singing even though I don't have the best voice for it, I love that detail. I don't have any Sims 3 packs though so I might never get World Adventures to experience this 😭

Another detail is that when you stock your bookshelf with books (of course lol)… it looks like the bookshelf is full and even has a decors/stuffs

Been playing the Sims 3 for years and surprised to still be discovering details in the game!
Also, there are books in the game titled "Game of Thorns" and "Hymn of Festive Stone" written by Elle M. Efayo, which is like a "parody" for the song Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO 🤣

Sims (in Sims 3) can take day-offs without payment if you want them to stop working for a couple of days
I love when a sim is playing on their phone and they randomly drop it and you can actually see their phone is cracked, it works like a normal phone though but it’s just cool to see. Also this isn’t a secret detail but I just think it’s really cool that you can get “financial aid” in university when you speak to the counselor/advisor sim

Can we just appreciate the open world on this game? Sure, it choked here and there but for the most part it was fine. Why does EA keep degrading games until it dies, like honestly.

Open world is one of my favorite aspects of this game for sure, so pretty and immersive
In sims 3, if your sim is an author and they written a good few of books. If you go to the library there is a chance to see those picks and your sim will read them.
I wish things like this would happen in sims 4 but it doesn't

Virtuoso sims sing in the shower, what they sing depends on voice number, Children to Elder sing.

Not here, but I know OnlyAbiDoang definitely covered it
With a bit of magic of Nraas Master Controller, you can swap their outfit to regular swimwear when they're SCUBA diving, which makes it look like freediving, great for screenshots or short videos. However, it also kinda get's glitchy with the sims resurfacing by themselves without any action in the queue or even teleporting to the next shore.
I like this idea!
Also spouses/lovers cuddling in sleep!!!!!
And pets are playable.
And hair and clothes color customisation. I loved it!!! Cow prints on gala dresses are superb.
Not you using "Silent Night" on the poor destroyed angel when all is NOT calm or bright xDDD

The Sims 3 introduced impressive weather effects. For example, rain, snow, and hail isn't a effect slapped on screen anymore like it was in The Sims 2. Thus now you can move camera indoors and see the rain through a window.
If I remember it correctly, sims who takes a bath or shower before their work starts, they'll change into their work outfit after they're done.
Singing can also happen when sim is taking a shower.
Computer frustration can be taken to the next level! Sims can also bang their head on the keyboard.
And final detail. Should a sim with garlic breath romantically interact with a vampire, they'll make the vampire sick.
I guess the Sims versions of Michael and Trevor were so convincing that CZcams thought this was GTA instead lol
Long time ago I had a sim run a daycare, and after taking her morning shower before the children come, she actually changed into her work clothes. I remember her doing it more than once, so it shouldn't be hard to recreate.
And my second one will be pretty laggy, because to show it you would need to use both "island paradise" and "into the future" but if i remember correctly, you straight up can't interact with the time portal that's on a moving boat-house (not even to deactivate it).
The last one isn't really something you can show (because it's only a translation problem), but I still want you to know. The city hall in Sunset Valley is on the Main street, which translated to Polish should result in "ulica Główna", but a typo resulted in the translation meaning "the Sh!t street" (as a native Polish speaker I just thought to mention it, you don't need to show it [because you can't])
Edit: just noticed that someone else said something about work clothes after shower/bath, but at the very least I confirmed that it doesn't only apply to jobs with a specific work place, but also ones that, for example, make you stay at home all day.

The fact about the typo is amazing lmao btw i'm from Slovenia and it seems we have similar words for main (glavno) and sh*t (govno) lmao also ulica means a street in our language too😊 makes sense they'd be similar tbf since they're both Slavic languages but there are still a lot of differences between the two

7:18 remembered that episode from The Simpsons where they went to Brazil, in the airplame scene, after Lisa explained about South Hemisphere Homer says that everything is opposite and Police runs away from the criminals
You forgot the other small detail, it you can't turn on the heating in winter, just play the sims 3 and your computer will provide all the heat you need!

I absolutely love sims 3 and I think it's the best Sims game of all. So many little things like how inappropriate sims will sometimes decide to get the mail naked. The only sin the game commits is the annoying crashes and the few bugs with saving. If those issues were gone I'd say it was perfect

If you have the sunflower from Plant vs Zombies, a vampire Sim will have a significant mood drop when they go near the sunflower or have the sun in their inventory.
Also, for those that have fish tanks (aquarium), if you put a fish and a fish-bait in the same tank, the fish that is the bait will be eaten after a few days. Ie. if you put a goldfish with a black goldfish, since the regular goldfish is a bait, it will actually be eaten by the other fish.
Fishes can also reproduce.
There are a lot details with some of the Sims 3 shop contents as well.

I wouldn't call 3 underrated, a LOT of people say it's the best one now... well, now. Before 4 it was the version that was considered the worst. Ah, things change :P
I think it gets the "underrated" rep because a lot of Sims 2 simmers go out of the way to point out: pudding face sims, the lag, load times, etc. Just my theory though

I directly played Sims4 without playing the earlier versions...but I got bored after half an hour of play...!!! I am surprised what other people are seeing in this game and I can't!!!
The Sims 4 is definitely the worst of the sims franchise. Most everyone agrees with that. It’s only good if you download mods (like MC Command Center). If your computer can handle it I would definitely suggest sims 3. Consoles too, my sister and I used to play it (just the base game) on our family PlayStation. We’d play for hours.
Sims 2 is good too, but my personal favorite is 3.

Really fun video, thanks! How does your game run so smooth? My laptop should run Sims 3 just fine, but it's just so laggy that I can't play it anymore so I stick to Sims 4.
Maybe try medium graphics settings. I had a problem with mine as well and it was because I tried high graphics (I have a gaming laptop)
You can try lowering the graphic settings and limiting the fps since TS3 has no limit and can use an insane amount like 1000fps which will cause a lot of strain on the computer. Also using NRAAS mods like Overwatch is a must! There's also the smooth patch on MTS you can download that reduces some lag when using CAS and the color wheel
Oh you just don't see the hundreds of laggy takes that don't end up in the video😉🥲 jk jk, tbh my game isn't completely lag free but it runs fairly smoothly. My settings are high but i had to lower the number of detailed lots because that was causing some lag. Other than that i haven't really done much and my pc is mid-range at best

Sims 3 are the best Sims game. So much depth, and so many details. I'm so sad that it no longer works on my computer, I have no other choice than playing with the S4 :( .
if a sim knows a foreign song they will sing it every chance they get. fishing, cooking, showering. Lol, be warned. great detail for any musician sims.
I love the rumours details in sims 3 wherein i tried making my sim sleep around when he was in uni and there were several rumours about him doing that. Or if you are a celebrity some rumours would get around town and you would either lose a friend or something. But, you can also go to the townhall to sue, regardless if the rumours were true or not. I tried suing a rumour that was actually true and won 😂 its devastating though to sue an untrue rumour and then lost but well, thats sims for you. 😂
I found this song recently but it has to be doing what they call the simple for simfast something like that for this to work. If you listen carefully to one of the performances, mainly the magician, you can actually hear one of the soundtracks from SimCity 3000

I don't know if it's a bug in my version of the game or a feature of the whole game itself, but celebrities in TS3 get bunches of invasive phone calls daily (fans, maybe?). They also get a lot of date invitations.
recently iму noticed one thing. my teen had genious character trait and visited homeork school club. so he would finish his homeork in a second. and hen i didn't see him doing it at home he would explode and get fireburns. but only when i wasnt watching him. so strange... he was a witcher btw.

My only problem with the sims 3 is that the sims look identical to each other but overall it's still underrated
This was an even bigger problem in the Sims 2- regardless of face templates, most Sims have the same type of face structure: a really oval shaped, long face. That said, this was due to graphical limitations, and some people actually like this design
I dont think the game was underrated by any means. The problem with The Sims 3 is that the vast majority of people were not able to play this on their underpowered eMachines and Gateways. Even on minimal settings this game took a lot of juice. If you has integrated graphics this game was completely out of the question. And even people who had an actual graphics card, it had to have a good amount of DRAM. It was also very CPU dependant.

What about when a sim is complaining about a noise, they will still complete the action they were just doing 🤣
A very cool feature is If you build a wine cellar and gold vault it's likely you'll ruin you actual real life being a digital hoarder, amazing!

If you use the Orb of Answers from Supernatural on option "Will I become rich?" a bunch of times you can be given 50k simoleans eventually :D just be patient
