I like giving Dislikes Children to the oldest child when they become a teenager sometimes, like they resent their younger siblings for daring to exist.
I never thought to use that trait that way!! That’s a cool idea though!! Thank you so much for watching!! 😎💯
Oooooh that’s a great idea!
Exactly😂
Now you should make some sims using the traits you never use and see what kind of craziness could unfold from that! :)
Right!? This video has taught me that I need to start using more traits on my sims!! 😭😭 Thank you so much for watching!! 😎💯
@@CjplaysYT exactly
Irresistible is such a funny trait to use bc of all the drama it conjures up
what a great video idea! I also randomize traits often, but it's fun to compare all of them... usually i like the "negative" traits
Thank you so much!! Randomizing traits makes things more fun! Negative traits are cool to play around with!! Thank you so much for watching!! 😎💯
Fun fact about the Artistic trait, depending on the other traits your Sim has, if your Sim is a painter , traits play into the style of art they paint. My favorite combination is Evil, Hopeless Romantic, Clumsy, Virtuoso as my top 4. I'll use the green thumb for my outdoor Sim, so having Loves the Heat, Loves the Outdoors and Green thumb is handy. Shy and Bookworm work together well for the nerdy type, so I use these a lot too. 😁👍 Neurotic I use, same with Dramatic and on occasion, Insane. I never use Absent Minded or Unstable ever. Both are annoying.
I had no idea that was even a thing!! That reminds of The Sims 4 when they can paint different things depending on their current emotional state!! I need to test it out with different traits!! Also this video has taught me that I need to start using more traits in The Sims 3!! 😂😅 Thank you so much for watching!! 😎💯
Same with bookworm and writing. Like hopeless romantic gets early access to romantic novels. Broody gets to start poetry earlier. Childish sims can read the toddler books and reap benefits. Something to use in early game with a brand-new CAS sim who never had a childhood... And getting a nice moodlet for sleeping with a teddy bear too. Also giving it to my fairies. They're Eko-friendly too... and really, just give them a bicycle or a horse to ride on. Or a broom if you didn't make a witch who already uses one anyway... Only use taxi with someone else. And a shower, Ekofriendly sims take real quick ones. Goes well with their love for gardening too... along with loves-the-outdoors. And I suppose they like the solar panels and wind turbines that make your bills smaller.
i love to use the socially awkward trait, it kinda adds a little personality to the sims.
ofc i dont give it to everyone, but i love to start legacies with that trait to make it a bit harder on meself :P
I'm at the beginning of the video, but my favourite trait is "workholic"! It even might be the most OP trait thanks to a capability to work from home at any time and actually getting paid normally as if you were at work!
Just imagine you're working as an astronaut in the military career, which is (I think) the best paid job in the game, however, you only work one day a week. But if your sim is a workholic who can work from home, you can keep the money flowing!
It's cool to see the perspective of how others use different traits for gameplay! My main traits I typically use are friendly, charismatic, genius, handy, loves the outdoors, and eccentric :D
Thank you!! This video has taught me that I need to start using more traits. 😅😂 That’s cool!! We use alot of the same traits!! I never use the Loves The Outdoors trait though. 😅😭 Thank you so much for watching!! 😎💯
for anyone sleeping on the computer whiz trait - i had a sim with this trait being in thousands from hacking and i didn’t even know that was possible 😂 was pretty cool to see
Bookworm is so useful for any career that makes you read, like medical! Plus I THINK it gives you a boost to learning skills through skill books but I’m not 100% sure on that anymore. I think neurotic is a fun negative trait because it has all the perks of being neat while also being a little coocoo. And I end up using absent-minded regularly because I’m ADHD and it’s basically the game’s ADHD trait. Also also, Supernatural Fan gives you a boost to the alchemy skill!!!
Really cool vid! My list would differ, but that's the beauty of TS3, you have so much to pick from and can customize your sims with FIVE traits. :) Even traits that are similiar are different. I didn't know that perceptive helps you find out traits faster! I always use my first 5k lifetime points to grab Observant from the Lifetime rewards -- so this was super interesting to find out. Always, thanks for the vid , awesome stuff!
Thank you much!! I like having so many traits to choose from, even if some of them are similar to each other lol!! And yeah the Observant is really cool I like to use it from time to time!! I forgot all about that Lifetime reward trait!! 😂😂 Thank you so much for watching!! 😎💯
CJ,... gatherer,....is so much more then collecting,... it is my always used. it helps with gardening. planting high-quality plants. it just lacts the revive thing green thumbs can do. then again you use unicorns for that. plus you don't fail catching bugs. least in my game it does fail. helps my witches out big time. it also useful for dumpster diving.
Wait really!? I need to use that!! Especially in my Nightmare Legacy challenges!! 😭😭 Thank you for telling me more about it!! And thank you so much for watching!! 😎💯
@@CjplaysYT yes! And no problem. Makes me want to do this kinda thing.
@@cheshirekatkerby7055 I left a link in the description if you wanna rank the traits!! 😎💯
So many opposites! I always use bookworm (pair it with genius), coward (cuz theyre scared of the dark), childish (to add immaturity to some adults), green thumb (for farming families), loves outdoors (especially for ahtletic sims), polite (for bouijee families), shy, and heavy sleeper (just because I dont even know why).
Listen.. We have around 100 traits ofc i want to pick 5 that has impact on my gameplay and not the annoying ones like unstable or the ones like loves the heat which make zero difference!
This video was really fun to watch! My top traits are charismatic, schmoozer, evil, flirty and kleptomaniac. I also really like insane sims, i love chaos in my game, its funny when they start arguing with themselves or go in swimwear to a wedding. Clumsy sims falling into the pool, starting a fire accidentally and also when coward sims faint and ran away for the tiniest reasons makes me smile too :)
I applaud you for going trough all of the traits omg there are so many-
I always use creative and ambitious. Because my sims always have creative skills, like, always. I just like creative sims. I like the extra points for wants with ambitious.
I definitely sometimes use the skills ones, like, angler, bookworm, etc.
yea ambitious is like the most useful trait
Your video made me realise we do have a lot of traits in the Sims 3 and we can fill five slots, but there is a lot of overlapping/doubling or even tripling which is kinda a pity. Don't get me wrong, I love the variety of traits but like you said evil, mean spirited and grumpy feel very similar. I wish we could have gotten a completely different trait for e.g. mean spirited (grumpy, I could argue: I'm grumpy after waking up early in the morning, but that doesn't mean I'm evil :D). But this is nitpicking, I really adore the traits system in TS3.
Very interesting video and a cool idea!
fun!! :3 the ones in always use are the ones i find myself using a lot too, tho some from sometimes would also be in always
I’m glad that we agree on some of them!! Thank you so much for watching!! 😎💯
I’m obsessed with the brooding trait it’s so funny to me and relatable 😂
i love the ranking vids!!
Whats the point of having sims who all have the same personality?
Tbh I've started giving my sims at least 2 "negative" traits because it makes the gameplay more fun imo. I used to only give them nice traits but that got kind of boring after a while😅
I really like Green Thumb, Loves the outdoors and Loner, because all my sims are gardeners and I never really have them socialize with other sims, so that's pretty handy. :D
What r ur traits? 😬
Friendly, Frugal, Observant, Workaholic, and Excitable Thank you so much for watching!! 😎💯
Love your Chanel ♥️
I do not know English, but I love watching your videos, you are a very nice person 💓 I always choose only good character traits 😂
Thank you so much!! I’m glad that you like my videos!! Right!? I’m the same way sometimes lol!! Thank you so much for watching!! 😎💯
Eu amei esse vídeo! Como eu não te conhecia antes??
i like the unlucky trait yes fires and stuff breaks more on your lot but hey
you can only die of old age
When I have a large family (4+ kids) in the game I always make sure that one kid has the Loser trait, one has the Lucky trait and one is a Mooch because IRL all families that have a lot of kids have three kids with those personalities. Mooch + Lucky + Evil is so fun because the Sims usually end up being the absolute worst and still end up with the best life 💀💀
I have a fourth "need to use it more" category in my mental list. Stuff like evil, eccentric, childish...they seem like they'd create interesting gameplay, but I always forget to try them out!
Love it
I don't add all negative traits to my Sim, just one or two for realism. There are also negative traits that I never, ever use, like Dislikes Children, Slob and Evil.
Hot-headed sims tend to hold grudges, mean-spirited sims are more likely to win fights, as well as criticise one's family, and evil sims get fiendishly delighted when misfortune strikes a nearby sim, but only ever mourns in tears when a family member, or a member of their household dies.
i only give traits like absent minded or annoying ones if im recreating a certain character who is like that but otherwise i also avoid them and i try to avoid making kleptomaniacs cause its super annoying that they autonomously swipe everything everywhere lol
i like brooding for my sherlock holmes style detective sims or my 1000 year old vampire sims who dont know what to do, but yeah you have to keep making them contemplate the meaning of meaning and consider the hollowness of life,it would be cooler if brooding sims could do more stuff
After some years of playing I realized that I would always use the same traits
So I started to randomize it every time, and would only change some trait if it conflicted with the lifetime wish I would have in mind for that sim
inappropriate + inappropriate But In A Good Way = Kiss the world into submission
One of my favorite ways to stir up drama in a household is giving the mom the dislikes children trait. I love ruining sims lives and making the most dysfunctional households possible lol
you didnt rank the hidden ones but i guess they go in the never use pile
i find the pyromaniac and catch burglar traits funny
I like to play with a family, have one of the children grow up and then turn aging off and just play with that character as a childfree, career and wealth focused sim once she's young adult like a famous musician or something. That way I get to play through the standard family experience for a little bit before I get into my prefered playstyle so that said sim actually has family members to hang out with.
I use ''dislikes children'' more than I like to admit for that sim though I wish the trait was less mean spirited and moreso just focused on not wanting children. Feels like at times they dislike everyone in the game for some reason.
You probably won't look back if you use Gatherer trait.
Can’t stand art is my favorite trait because it’s me in real life, and because you can bother sims by talking over and over again about hating art.
I love taking negative traits... so fun.
My favorite is charismatic! Almost each of my sims got it! And the least favorite is insane, it makes the game unbearable and sim starts to piss you off terribly!
❤️
Thank you so much for watching!! 😎💯
i’m using the adventurous train now and it’s actually kinda fun 🫣 i paired it with opportunistic and prepared traveler and it’s been helpful for world adventures
