- Welcome to the 10th episode of The Sims 3 details and features series. Today we're taking a look at 22 epic details and features (wow, who would've guessed) that prove just how underrated this game is, at least from the details standpoint.

yes, I often moved into lots just to see they are not what I was looking for and having to move again (often 3 X+ in a row)

Some random knowledge 😉
1.) If you right-click on the pattern swatches in CAS, they’ll be completely randomized on whatever category you’re on. So, if you’re on geometric you’ll get a wacky plaid or something. Useful for making a tacky Sim or finding inspo.
2.) If you can’t decide on what shoe, shirt, hairstyle, outfit, etc, right-click on the icon at the top and it’ll choose for you
3.) This one’s in build & buy mode: when you’re looking through the catalog, you pick the item you want, and if you look to the right of the pre-made colors, there’s a dice button. If you click on that, it’ll randomize all the assets of that item.

2 - I don't understand which icon and where

Without mods, you can drag the swatch(es) from item A to item B in CAS, which will copy the swatch & texture of item A onto B. My favourite thing to do is to collect swatches from different pre-made houses, and add the ones I like to the library and use them in my home world.
And we took Sims 3 for granted, all the people complaining. Now look what we got lol. A half baked Sims game thats almost 10 years in and STILL feels incomplete
The sponge bath one I found out in University, when one of the roommates decided to take one in the shared kitchen randomly, and got mad at my sim for walking in on them. My poor sim just wanted to eat some breakfast, lol.

If you buy a bale of hay for your horses and throw some of it around, cats can play in it. Also when cats fish, they're not restricted to what spawners are present, so this way you can get, like, carp from China without traveling at all
I cannot stop wheezing at 3:33 😂😂😂 GTA characters on the sim and the voice line over Trevor sponge bathing in the kitchen as Michael reacts negatively made my day 😂😂😊😊
Hydrophobic sims are so funny because they cry before taking a shower or bath. Like I get it but also like you can't just...not take one ever. 🙃

As someone who sort of went from the sims 2 to the sims 4, I can't believe how much detail we lost going from sims 3 to 4 😥
And sims 3 has alot of reused assets from sims 2

I'm going to reinstall it this week. No matter how hard I try, or how many packs I buy, or CC I download, I just find TS4 boring (and broken)
@missbeehavingsim yup, I had 120gb of mods and cc, and it was STILL boring. I miss the CC but I'll never waste time downloading it again. Sims3 and Sims2 all the way.
Late Night: if your sim is a celebrity and someone falsely or truly accuses them, they can 1) file a lawsuit at city hall, which costs money but can get more if you win the case. 2) bribe the journalist (business center) or 3) sweep the dirt under the carpet and take the case to another Sim in the city (you can choose who)

Clumsy or unlucky sims can't die, exept of old age. They always get a free pass from death because the reaper feels sorry for them.

yes it was unlucky trait! My sim died because the bed from university life crushed her. And the grim repear decided to revive her because her accident was too funny and she should live and bring more laughter to people by being so unlucky
they can still die by accidental death in the magician's box and by being attacked by a shark on a diving lot

1. If you have a dog, you can take your dog for a walk in town or to a destination, and since TS3 is open world and real-time, where to take the dog to walk does affect gameplay.
2. There are also hidden shortcuts in World Adventures sub-worlds, and these shortcuts are secret “lots” that are not marked on the map. For instance, there is a hidden passage way in Egypt in front the large tomb on the North side of the map.
3. Technically, since the entire map is open world, you can play the entire game like a city building game, which adds a lot more gameplay details. For example, for those pre-made parks on each map, you can put a gypsy caravan on the lot, and the park will now function like a gypsy caravan rabbit hole, but your sim can still make money by purchasing the caravan. You can also change any lots to restaurants or other career related venues by placing the corresponding lot component from build mode.

Yeah this game is super inconsistent, it crashes on some computers but works fine on others and most of the time we don't even know why haha

@@thangngudxop works quite well, especially in smaller worlds and my pc is very average (intel i7-4770 cpu, 8 gb ram, nvidia geforce gtx with 4gb vram and windows 8). A bit of lag is unavoidable even on a top tier machine though, it’s just the way this game was made

Did you know. If you have a negative moodlet and you ckick on it, it will direct your sim to do an action. Like go to the loo or to bed

Why are carpets like black holes in sims 3. Put for example an umbrella on carpet and then try to press it. Like it will think you press the carpet unless you find the sweet spot. This doesnt happen on floors. :/

I was wondering why you had gta5 music. Your character is Trevor I’m so late.
If your Sim has a romantic trait and they randomly turn on TV it’s always the romantic channel. It works for bookshelfs too, if they choose something to read it’s usually a romantic literature. I think it works for other traits but I didn’t try all the combination. Probably childish Sim always chooses kids show and books.
