The bridge in ruby is a portuguese famous bridge called 25 de abril (25 of april) apparently it was designed by the same guy that designed the san francisco one thats why they are so similar

I would like to mention the time this update came with the ruby map based on Portugal and its importance.
If I'm not mistaken, this was released on April 25th which is the National Liberty Day for Portugal. The day when the dictatorship fell in 1974, and a couple of months later came democracy.
That Golden Gate-looking bridge you see there is called "Ponte 25 de Abril / 25th April Bridge". There is also a street of the same name. This day is very important for us because it marks the end of a regime that ruled on fear and oppression (as most dictatorships do). There's also the way how this revolution played out. It wasn't the people that did this, but the nation's own military forces that came marching on the streets and managed to peacefully overthrow the people in charge. It then turned into a temporary military regime for a couple of months, then finally came elections and then came democracy.
And honestly, it just feels nice that a map based on my country is officially released on a game that has a lot of popularity nowadays specifically on a special holiday such as this ...
Literally saw ,,2new Maps" and my instant thought was: Yep, there will never be a new Operation.
I will wait until summer, if they release another case without operation then I am done, I will lose all the hope I have :(

Abbey was leaps and bounds ahead of Vertigo (not to mention zoo) in terms of competitive play. Stupid valve...
So what. If no one plays them, then no one plays them.
Reminder, that Valve removes maps only because they aren't played that much. It's the community's fault for not caring to learn new maps.

And in Addition to that. The map creators of Abbey really cared about their Mal which is why they fixed Bugs on it reguarly.
In opposite to Zoo. Zoo hasnt Received any big Updates Just a few slight Texture Changes.
Abbey was a great Map
It is a better Version of mirage If you asked me.
And as the comment section under every Update Video Says, people prefer Abbey over Zoo and vertigo.
Which is why i can not Understand why valve did this stupid remove.
2:38 these boxes helped so much in retakes, now the bomb A is more T side than ever (without speaking about the T spawn change, I'm really curious how CTs will hold this now) they'll bring back this cases asap thrust me

Yeah I played wingman with bots like a week ago because I wanted to try it out. The bots got stuck on both sides trying to get through the places that have been blocked
(I played overpass)
this has existed for years (2+) and that's because valve simply put 5v5 version's bots into it

I expected Studio to be next added to the game but ruby here... still a nice map tho. It's just that our mapping community is small, and you guys see our great content just going in and out, but don't actually play much on the new maps. Would you play those community made maps if there was a special unranked queue with ONLY community made maps?
Also I am in the big sad zone of abbey fans :P

The buildings are not even similar to San Francisco, this are piece of portuguese architecture.

Still no operation... Smh. And tbh how hard would it be to remaster and remake some 1.6 or source maps to csgo. Like chateau, Piranesi, prodigy, etc.
@@hciuahwuiwa most of these new maps are garbage for matchmaking. Good for casual and some missions but that's it. And with operation there's the coin, operation only item drops, co-op missions etc. That's like saying why would the game need a new case, there's already enough skins In the game.

@@hciuahwuiwa I want an operation rather than two random maps every now and then get removed. It feels so meaningless to have them change constantly. And I can't be the only one who had fun doing coop missions with other people. Plus, operation drops is a great addition.
Hell, even my most precious memories in CS:GO are from playing in operation maps. Seeing the update drop, waiting eagerly for the whole schoolday to end so I could go play CS. It was an exciting time
