ranking system is weird, I am silver yet got 8k playing with way higher ranking players than I should

It all depends on the wins. Shroud lost 8 games while getting his placement and he's at 10,5k. If you win all 10 with no lose you might get ~20k

@@grigorecosmin no.its about ur performance and opponent hidden csrating if they havent qualified and if they have its their cs rating. if u fight trash then and win with bad kd or low util usage but high frags ull get low rating

I made it up to 4500 and lost the next two and went back to 3500. The losses once you hit 4K are too punishing I think. One loss is -570 points? Wild.

Placed 4,6k as an ex LE, took me and my friend (we duoQ) 55 hours to be 15k, 37 win with a 73% win rate.
We both said it's easier to rank up in Premier than Ranked.
73% win rate is pretty wild. I also just hit 14k elo recently

Got 8.6k over a few days since i cant play alot daily, the annoyance of getting shot down before enemies peek and the how weapons feel make me want to stop playing after each game. Otherwise the game feels nice. Its kinda funny how m4a4 and ak feel worse to use than galil and m4a1, they dont feel so inaccurate/weird to use
im new to pc and kbm and im loving cs2 even though i lose most games but i always get at least 5 to 12 kills. i go against 10 year and global elite badge players idgi, but still having fun

20k+ rating is a weird experience. I would say a third are legit lvl 10 Faceit players, a third actual SILVER players that got boosted by cheaters, and the rest are cheating, closet and obvious...
It's going to be interesting to see the rank distribution after a massive, inevitable VAC wave.

I think I was placed 2k or something like that and now I’m 11k but it’s so annoying trying to climb when you get close and then you’re gaining 100 or loosing 400… basically loosing 4 games worth of elo after 1 game
Their rating is completely broken I have played like a total bot on my new account always bottom of the scoreboard and I still got rating 8k meanwhile on my main where I actually want to win games I sit in 10-12k and most of my enemies are new accounts with less than 500 hours or old acc with 5k+ hours (the old accounts being usually somehow easier to play against)
79% win rating was a LEM when I left csgo and currently at 17k.
Now I realise why some games in 9k feel like silver and others feel like LE

12 k, GE in global offensive although used to play mainly cache and d2 so a bit of learning. Think I could realistaclly hit 14-15 k if i get vertigo and ancient down as they are holes in my game. Can play fine but not carry by making plays on those maps

I'm 17k and my last 3 games have all been against fullstacks who play cs professionally and have HLTV profiles and 5k faceit elo... Sure, not getting stomped as hard as I would in CSGO but rn I'm just waiting for the first real season and hope to not play as sweaty games.
I quit CS2 because I got 5k elo. I feel totally ashamed of myself. I've been playing this game from 2014 to 2018. After that, I played when there was an operation. I got my first CS2 rank in 2024 and... I no longer play this game. My premier stat. 10W & 8L.

Placed at 5k and everyone was way better than they were supposed to be at 5k and had decent hours on the game (1500-3000 hours). I finally made it to 17k and I feel like I’m in a good place.

To be fair I am constantly between 10 and 11.5k cause I don't play much, cause I have not much time to grind. Honestly there is no diference when I am 10k and Play woth 8-10k players. Or when I am 11600 when I play even with 13-16k players. I promise there is jo difference. Specially cause u lose lose -130 and gain +350 so it is quite literally how much u grind, and that is stupid in my oppinion. I constantly see people in 15k with like 35% winrate. It should be fix to gain/lose same amount like 100-150 to make every next thousand reach a bit harder, so it basicly meams something. Like this the diffrence between 11k and 12k is 3 or even 2 games. The skill gap does not exist, it is just luck based or deppended on how much u play. Great idea with premier rating, but the way ot works is just ass
I’m 14k and I Que with a lot of my friends who are 19-22k elo, and the games I play with them are absolutely insane.

When I Que with my own rank, I do decent .
But when I Que with the 20K+ elos I bottom drag every game and will be lucky to get more than 10 kills.

at 17k rn. But to be fair each game you win, I'm getting around 211+ Elo. while loosing only minuses roughly a 100. so you're bound to rank up faster.
It was like this for me too, i’ve been through a bad run lately, they give me arround +120 per win now but i loose arround -450 per loss
@@mikic.c.7641 hmm I probably lost 3 of the 15 games I've played so far. Maybe it's based on your loss percentage? The more you lose the more elo you'll lose. As it probably assumes you're misplaced in the rank you're in.

These percentages you are saying does not help measuring how good you are in ANY way.
You should just show top% for each bracket, thats also more relevant than any rank comparison with cs go you will cone across

Rating doesn't matter in beta, lvl 10 faceit players could still carry all matches and lose 20 times and win 10 times and get 8000 ratio instead of 25k where's he's supposed to be. Thanks to all the garbage teammates that doesn't know how to play the game :), so a full stack of high lvl's mates is needed if you really want a good rating. Gotta wait a few months after release and then there will be the real rating per seasons.

Dont sweat rank. Drop low enough you have fun in games and just play and try and get better. High elo games are stressfull and not fun to be in anyway
Wouldnt agree to this. For me its much more stressfull to Play lower Ranks. People cant Position right, to hold angles that you wont get shot from for example. Its Just pain in the ars playing low elo. You have to play like in Deathmatch. Just Push nonstop, and hope your Team can win a 4vs3/2. Because they dont understand anything of the Game.

Sure i can adapt of the Low eloplaystyle but its Just Not fun, and more stressfull since you cant rely on teammates in Low elos. Just because they simply cant hold Corners, because they dont use the minimap. Or Just dont think at all. So i Just Play Deathmatch in Low elo, and thats it.
