Bro youre a goat
Well deserved Caff!
my hero
Ladies and gentlemen, we've got ourselves a Wirtual of CS Surf, and I love it.
And then...he got this run.
*En aften ved svanefossen starts playing*
😮
I knew this style of video essay reminded me of someone!
Yep, went to check this out because i Saw him in wirtuals main account
Im really happy that 10 years after i surfed on ksf for many years, there are many new people joining. I did not know of any of these legends until recenlty. During my time the legends were Morning Sinsa, Habitat, Yamaan, Niyhm etc.. That makes me quite happy. And quite sad because I quitted dur to being banned for something stupid. (Helped a player to reach expert so I surfed on his acc, I had no clue this was illegal back in the days bc i was very young). But yeah it makes me quite happy to see that surfing is still doing well and that a lot of prodegies are still joining!
- boooo (from ksf records compilation #5)
HUGE ANIME BREASTS
Just make a new account or something if u wanna play again :)
someone had you boost their account on a surfing server..? that's straight degenerate lmao
@@plsdontbanmeagainyoulibtards expected from surfers
bro sinsa! he streams on twitch, rarely, but still gets down on surf
i really appreciate caff's work on stability and growth of the surf community. ive been watching the tourneys multiple times. hes a great surfer and as far as i was able to get known to him, hes a great person as well.
I like the format of this video. i thought the brief little intros/explanations about the gamemode, community, and how to get started/play the game were done nicely. They flowed well and were intuitively integrated to introduce relevant concepts throughout. However, massive missed opportunity to add 12 seconds and make the length 13:37
ty!!
Stuff like this makes me really love this community. There's so much support for one another. it's ridiculous. I appreciate you Repster!
When i was 15 (08-09-ish) i used to be a world-class surfer in CS source :( surf velocity never forget.
It's cool to see the scene is still alive and kicking stronger than ever ❤️❤️
.. I think I might even have some old demos. Damn, now I have to go take a look on my old ass hard drive 😂
hey! I actually just made contact with copy-mark, and a couple months ago did an interview with morning and hab. I might have some questions for ya about velocity if you're willing
@@Repster @RepsterSurf Ayyy, copy-mark! respect ✊
I'm not sure, it's been a looong time. I only remember tiny bits and pieces here and there.
I remember being active around the time when someone created a short-lived clan/group called surf revolution(s?) to protest something that SV apparently did wrong. I joined rev first, then got into SV.
But idk, I didn't really care about all that clan politics stuff, i just simply loved to surf. The clout from being a part of velocity and the dopamine haze from finishing really hard maps was my jam.
Shame no one really kept track of world records on a larger scale back then. I would've really loved to chase WR on surf_ny_platinum or surf_ny_advance.
It really annoys me that i remember so little about that time 💀 i just remember having the time of my life.
But someone i knew back then might remember more. He became really active around the time i quit. Haven't talked to him in years, but i remember he went by the name miggo or miggo13.
I think he has a youtube channel with loads of surf videos from around that time, might be worth asking? 👀 At least a few years ago he was still active on that channel.
If you do get in contact, tell him Pure said hi 😂
Idk how YT decided to show me this vid 😂 for me it's kinda the same but still a different story:
I came to love to surf in CSS and spent sooo much time there at the same time and age as you. I remember my brothers making fun of me. I surfed everything, was never an talent but I was utterly in love with surf-rpg at some time (maybe 2005-2007?) and remember that the community there was just amazing. This felt like really unique game and I always dreamt of a game of its own for rpg-surf. And then all of a sudden the rpg-ranked-surf community got destroyed bc of servers allowing instant rank ups and nobody was trying to play serious anymore:
Bottom line? I think I never experienced the same joy in Games as this early surf time, trying to surf on advanced maps or just go in rpg maps and freeze stab noobs all day long ❤
really good video, felt like I was watching one of those trackmania videos with millions of views, keep doing what you're doing cause I just got recommend this video you might blow up
great video. as someone thats been surfing since 2012 its very nice to see this sort of recognition and attention brought to the gamemode we've all come to enjoy.
Great video. It is always so nice to watch videos on movement games / movement mods because of their storied pasts. You can only hope for videos on lesser known mods like kz or tf2 jump or even conc, but to see any sort of content for movement mods is fantastic
Absolutely incredible video. Both enjoyable and high quality
perfect balance of concise explanation and interesting storytelling keep it up
Never really comment on videos but this is a really well made video. Looked down and thought you had 100x the amount of followers. Seriously, give yourself a pat on the back for making such a great video.
Cheers!
amazing video man. Super indepth and very interesting from start to finish
Amazing video! Haven’t surfed since mid 2017 but this just randomly popped up in my feed and gives me the itch again!
Great upload. I didn’t know surf was still such a big part of the game. Stopped surfing in 2012-2013. But had been surfing all of the mid 00s
Caff is absolutely the greatest current player in surf. I'm probably just a boomer, however, but I don't think I'll ever be able to consider anybody other than Sinsa the GOAT.
could consider a few the goat its just about the era you played in so I respect it
Very nice video, this is the stuff i was looking for when i subbed… ty repster
As someone who usually surfs t1-t3 to chill, I can really appreciate the level of effort it takes to get *that* many WRs on maps that difficult. Caff is a beast.
This is really well made, you deserve more subs
Dude beautiful video. Amazing narration and a nice script to go along too.
Amazing editing, kept me on edge every second
A few typos, but great overall. 4:45
But then… Caff got this run
Really enjoying your content atm dude! keep it up
Man I remember learning to surf back in 1.6 on surf_egypt. Glad to see this game mode is still going strong.
Great Video! Loved every second of this :D
insane video keep up the good work man!
Such a good video, Ty for posting
Cool video about a community I know almost nothing about. Watching the footage I was most impressed with the maps ( i cannot really tell what makes a surfer good) . Could be an interesting video about who comes up with all these maps , there most be some kind of science how to build a map that allows for skilled players to shine.
Omg I was just thinking the other day, I would love a mini documentary on surf, thankyou for this !
Wait what I'm watching this and I'm in the fucking video hahahhahahaha
Can you tell me where to find that zts movie what a wig out
Lol found it turns out I commented on it 7 years ago, awesome video though time to binge the rest of your vids
Just subscribed and here before 5k, the quality of your videos is insane! You should do all types of cases not only surf and csgo, but other games!
Ty!
This reminds me so hard of Wirtuals Trackmania Videos but in cs. I love it keep it up 💪🏼
been surfing since '11. great vid.
Love seeing the old 2b2t style video with a new game. Great content
Caff is the goat. I would love to see a video on Aukan and that man’s desire to do everything backwards.
top tier video. deserves more views and subs
Wow nice video, this is the kind of content literally no one seems to showcase
Glad you enjoyed!
im glad this video popped up,
i had previously quit surf because my server of choice was pretty much dead, but this video inspired me to hop on csgo and surf a little, and man am i glad i did lol
🐐miss you caff
amazing vid!! keep it up
i used to hang out it kurts (truktruk) chat a lot and he, among a couple other guys you mentioned was also there quite often, i don't surf so i dont know any of these guys but they were super nice people to hang out with, pretty cool to now see how big these guys really are :)
Great vid! Have now subbed, loving your other vids too
Awesome, thank you!
saw you on gfl, much love Repster
Bro surprised by the quality keep it up 💯
I remember surfing on CS:S and building my own surf maps... It's crazy that the "best" surfer joined during the prime of csgo, and not source.
i quit cs after cs:go was released and never heard about cs:go surfing wr.. my whole childhood was playin cs:s surf and awp/scoutknivez kekw
i like this style of editing, reminds me of wirtuals editing on his main channel. great video
Great content, subbed
Very cool, reminds me so much of the old Q3 Defrag!
*takes deep nostalgia breath*
Great Video, loved it
epic vid, love the story!
i used to play a lot of surf in css when i was like 12 years old in 2010, i remember playing a lot of surf rpg deathmatch on a gfl server, back when epic radio was a thing lol. i was never very good at the competitive side of it, but then again that wasn't really why i played it, i preferred laid back combat surf. it's really cool to see people are still into the gamemode and are able to even build careers and make money doing it.
esl surf n chill and surf n flex going to bring a lot more light to the surf community I never knew about caffrey or levi before that or that surfing this high of a skill ceiling
great storytelling sir
I saw a comment from Wirtual on a caff world record video, shouldn’t be surprising but still cool to see the speedrun community I’m in now colliding with the one I used to be in :p
I love surf, this is sick to see videos like this
I have always admired people who can put in the work. anyone who can put in 5000+ hours into any task has my respect. Good job caff!
I think me and many others have encountered both Caff and Levi through ESL's Surf and Chill where they are hired to make those videos for them. Which is highly requested and demanded by many
Im pretty sure this guy gonna start crying his eyes out when his grandkids ask him about surf
you should do a video on bogroll he would love that or even an interview if u can get a hold of him
just discovering surfing comunity, looks fun nice vid btw
Woah great video! I'm not sure how familiar you are with tf2 jump but this story sounds extremely familiar to me (we have around 700 maps, points for wr or tt etc). Either way super cool vid, def inspiring me with ideas for videos I could make myself
you could for sure make vids on rj and sj, lmk if u need any help!
@@Repster thanks! I'll give it a go
when I saw you check the record history in discord that I knew you are going to make this video
Cool video! I never got into skill surf as much, but did so much combat surf throughout 2015-2017 on various Aussie servers. Do you plan to make any more vids on combat surf in the future?
In all honesty I am totally clueless when it comes to combat surf. I'd need to learn a lot more (and see greater demand for csurf content)
@@Repsterstart off with wardy’s channel he has some videos
i loved the video. well done
Man, surf is incredibly hard. I can barely finish surf_summer
And then Caffrey, got this run
The storytelling reminds me of Wirtual, nice job! Awesome story :)
good vid. love surf.
Looksmodern wr is insane :) really like that one
Love the wirtual documentary style
never heard of Caff won't lie, surfed on KZG from 2017 onwards, honestly I think Levi has a lot of popularity simply because he holds SR's on a lot of the most played maps on KZG, that's the only reason I knew about him anyways.
great video man
this is a really good video.
3:56 unexpected cameo
caff taking goat status so quick is really impressive
high quality video essay
This video is gonna blow up im calling it
I remember surfing in counterstrike 1.6 . Those were the days . I miss the superhero mods too those lobbies kicked ass haha
Yooo this was hype
great vid :-)
This was great!
I would love a video about Troflecopter, still probably my favorite surfer, unless you've already made a video about him, then I'm sorry for that lol
Love the player spotlight content. Ever though of doing the same for players in the bhop community?
For sure, gonna focus on surf until there's more interest in both game modes. I also just know way less about bhop
I love surfing man. been surfing since 2013
Shoutouts to ksf for being the arbiter of world records cause all the others servers died.
oh man, I missed those times when I would hop on combat surf after school
Not surfed in a while but this has reignited my passion to complete tier 1 maps I will battle for the mid position on the easiest of maps!!!!
based and repstapilled
very well made video
rep for playing all types of map
I used to surf a lot from 2012-2015, sadly it seems to have kinda died out. There was always KSF on source, then there was Opium Gaming on CS:GO which died and people switched to ksf which unfortunately kind of died on CSGO as well.
Hopefully in CS2 surfing can maybe return to glory.
Finally this channel blew up. Wondering why it has never happened to mine while making KZ content for so long about such a loved aspect of the gamemode, hard maps.
youtube is a tough game. surf/bhop/kz never really got the exposure they needed ig
@@Repster I was having the idea of doing the same video that you made, but in 1.6 about some kz players, I still want to, but I am short at resources, like demos, videos, sources, interviews, history... but I still want to make these videos that I took inspiration from Wirtual. I've been wanting to make these videos for like a year or two but I never could put things together, the research, all the demos to source, the players themselves... I want, I really want to make them but they proved to be very difficult to make.
@@POLARTTYRTM ye if there's any way I can help lmk! Sounds like a great idea
Great video 🎉
finally someone mentioned CAFF the GOD
I remember I beat my first tier 3 in a zts hard server after school back in like 2015 or 16, I was super starstruck because it was just me him and duck who was super cooked and kept trying to rtv and i was this little squeeker kid who was too scared to talk to them but caff voted to extend and I ended up finishing in like 55 minutes. Cant believe he ended up becoming world class.
SURF CREATOR YES, NEED MORE SURF CREATORS, GOOD SURF VIDEO
1:45 dude explains what a server is. Damn i'm old
great vid 👍
damn man had 3 ludwig videos reccomended at 9:03 true ludbud 07
Dude I just feel like a God completing a tier 3, and I like just did that the other day for the first time for practicing for years on a really crappy laptop with integrated graphics that can still somehow run CS go
By the way, technically the speed limit is actually 3500 in _each direction,_ totaling for a theoretical max of 5048 u/s.
