Zeus = most resilient IGL of all time
FalleN = greatest IGL of all time

I’d put Glaive above Fallen as the greatest of all time. Fallen is/was incredible and despite SK’s era, it’s nothing compared to Astralis’.

Happy and Pronax was once the two best IGls in the world. Now they can't even win a third tier tournament. Just shows how much the meta has changed
Happy dropped off heavily as a player though, and Pronax hasn't been on a team with that level of players ever.

So glad you guys finally did the in game leader topic. As an in game leader myself in tier 2 overwatch, for me the quick definition of the role is this: make everybody in the team able to become an in game leader. If you do this, everyone has that intellectual mentality, and it makes the team that much better.

I wish there was at least a blip about Moto's IGL on Team 3D with them being the only team at the time able to fight the euro's, or the eoL/SK team's with element etc, so much stuff from like 2003-2007 that I think would have been great building blocks for the video

I have a tactic for you guys, first go to any site and produce as many sound as you possibly can then 2 or 1 go to the other site and make sound and throw names so the CT’s move and then you as the Ts go and plant then the people at the other site come out when they hear the enemy walking away

Both Swag and Stewie2k were omitted in this video. Both of them are Star IGLs who should have had a mention if not an in-depth review.
I can really appreciate Glaive. He does a lot that you will never be able to measure by stats. His map sense/game sense is insane and means he can collect so much information flanking, clearing out entire sections of the map so knowing exactly where the enemy team are and what site they're going for. Idk about anyone else but it's so exciting like on Dust to see him push right out of B tunnels all the way to T spawn, knowing they're all going A, as an example, clearing every single corner as he goes so knowing where to call rotations. I hate that people call Astralis boring tbh, CS is great to watch in other ways and not just 5 v 5 mechanically gifted players running around with 16-14 matches or OT every single time. There's something so good about watching perfect Utility use, perfect mid-round calls, perfect rotations, perfect communication/teamwork and their executes onto a site are just ridiculous.

Yep - teams with tactics always will prevail against fraggers. Brain over muscle. Yesterday me and my friends played Nuke. We have no idea what to do on this map. The enemy chose it thinking that we are shit. And for the most part they were really good at fragging, but our T side came and I kinda "won" the game for us by simply knowing few smokes and telling my friends what to do. And they acknowledged that. They said it: "we won because he told us what to do". Unfortunatelly I really hate doing this. The constant talking and babysitting of others is tiring. So props to all IGLS in pro and casual play.
Tr1p always has been and will always be my favourite IGL. Easily the one underrated player on compLexity when they dominated the scene in the mid-2000’s before Pentagram and Fnatic came along.

My knowledge of the CS competetive scene is limited but I also miss Tarik on Cloud 9. As other mentioned there are also some other players who could have been in the video but Tarik is missing too I think. But still overall a very great video like all the rest of the history related videos. =)

I play both Dota 2 and CSGO.
They're both unique and competitive in their own ways. But, only CS:GO that have this player characteristic (the way they play) that defines the in-game character itself
