Herbert
This is one of the most incredible interview ever. His opinions about Tesla and his knowledge. THat was exclusive access to his mind. Thank you Human Bot Team!
Most incredible interviews ever? You need to watch more interviews.
Herbert, this was a great interview! One of your best! Thank you so much to guest Geordie Rose. This guy and his org are clearly going to be leaders and are showing the way. I do feel that it confirms why Tesla and Elon are way in front. This interview confirmed my thesis of Elon's approach. You need goal seeking behaviour. You don't need a map, it is an obstacle to success and generalisation and how the human mind works. Elon has not made the mistake due to his vision and intelligence. You should not focus on the atomic task and procedural mechanisms of planning. (At least Elon learned this after the early years of FSD.) It is now vision in and behaviour out to seek the goal. The atomic procedural model or task planning is not able to be built and deployed in the timeframes needed to win this race, it assumes and demands human input. I believe that Elon has learned by being in balls to the wall on vehicle autonomy for so long and having the gut instinct to know the winning horse in the race. This will make Optimus and the associated AI a different and superior animal. As Geordie eluded to, he is now bogged down in a flawed model. Optimus wll not have this limitation. Sanctuary will be impressive, but never generalise to the full extent in real time it needs to and will demand never ending fine tuning and engineering effort. Somewhat like the competition is coming.
This seems like the worst period.
Even the market are now very unpredictable. Started investing recently when the market prices were a bit high, today I am more than 60% down!
Don’t be confuse buying the dip in a bear market, with guaranteed future returns. Just because that company is down 60%+ from ATH does NOT make it a sound long-term investment. Make sure you’re investing in great companies. kudos to Devion Jane
I agree just reached my goal of $500k yearly trade earnings. Setting realistic goals is an essential part of trading..
Please educate me, i'm willing to make consultations to improve my situation,
Her technical analysis is excellent and her interpretation/projections of the market are so accurate I sometimes ask myself if she is a human The point she is the perfect trader to follow for advice and guidance
Wait is this the same lady? That helps me with 17k investment “wow" such a small world..
Hit 200k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with 14k in last month 2024.
.......
Wow that's huge, how do you make that much monthly?
Mrs Christen wilburn was my hope during the 'bear summer' last year. I did so many mistakes but also learned so much from it, and of course from claret ambrose...

Top shelf interview!! Most interesting video on CZcams in some time. Geordie is excellent in answering intellectual questions. Wish most video were like this.
Herbert, you must be the hardest working man on CZcams. Yet another outstanding H-bot video. Many thanks to you, John and Scott for hosting Geordie. I'm utterly fascinated by this subject.
Great interview! Thankyou Jordy for being so generous with your answers
Thanks Herbert, Geordie, John, and Scott, this is good stuff. Cheers!
You get the right people and let them talk. This is beyond brilliant. Thank you.
Well, presented Herbert, and I want to thank you once again for allow me to speak on your form on ax. A few weeks ago, the Highlander. PS kindness is always free.😊
Herbert's voice has a smooth, comforting tone.
This interview with Geordie Rose is the best I have seen on humanoid robots. He is so articulate and open (as much as possible) about the subject. This was so enjoyable.
This guy is a black belt and an absolute genius. He made the first quantum computer. He is Canadian too.
Black belt in what?
When our movements generate streams of proprioceptive signals, each stream is duplicated where it enters the spinal cord. One stream goes to the sensory area of the Cerebrum. The other stream goes to the Cerebellum. There is complex crosstalk between the two areas. Seems to me, the humanoid companies should duplicate the system.
Great format! Excellent guests!
Wow, Herbert! Geordie is amazing. Thanks so much for presenting this.
Is Sanctuary AI on TSXV? I might need to invest, being a Canadian...
I love the grounded reality of this channel!!!
*Retirement took a toll on my finances, but with my involvement in the digital market, $15,000 weekly returns has been life changing. AWESOME GOD* ❤️.
I feel sympathy and empathy for our country, low income earners are suffering to survive, and I appreciate Wayne. You've helped my family with your advice. imagine investing $30,000 and receiving $95,460 after 28 days of trading.
I'm in a similar situation where should I look to increase income? Do you have any advice? What did you do ? Thank you
Well I engage in nice side hustles like inves'ting, and the good thing is I do it with one one of the best(Michael Wayne), he's really good!
Did someone just mention Mr Wayne!? Damn! You just made my day; what a coincidence.. I've worked with him for over 2years and I can tell how good he is
It's great to see you guys talking about
Michael Wayne, This man changed the game for me. Good Man ❤️
wonderful explanation of comparing instruction set of a processor to the building blocks of actions.
Superb show. Your best yet. Well done
Excellent thank you Herbert!! 🙏🏼👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Very nice interview.
I love how this man's mind works. Awesome interivew!!
Wheels can be obstructed by anything on the floor - uneven, cables, and unknown things that fall.
Spectacularly good video.
Thanks for such an interesting interview, I gave up being a doctor after serving in Vietnam as a combat medic and I almost killed a few patients. I got into being an electronics engineer and no worries of killing patients. Wow It would have been so cool to get into robots instead. Too old now so this will have to happen on my next life
At home nursing care and general assistant / companionship is the most exciting thing about robots.
Great stuff guys
great program, 😊
I think Geordie is on the right track. I think their focus on "hands" is the key. I suppose the AI race may make the difference.
Maybe Elon is going to use Optimus to build superchargers in place of humans?
😭
Elon doesn't need to build any more superchargers. He just fired everybody that implimated their installation and setup.
@@arseliopereira2541 Despite what he says he needs more. The most cited reason for not buying an EV is there is no supercharger near me. This will be the Bots' first job.
@@michaelnurse9089 I really doubt this will be the Bot's first job. Most of the installation work is done by local contractors. The people he got rid of are the ones that find and plan sites, negotiate with the land owners, pull building permits, negotiate and arrange electrical feeds from the local power companies and other miscelaneous tasks. Some of this can take a few years for some sites. I doubt the Bots will be doing this.
i believe the value lies in the data and machine learning over the hardware
Excellent
In my chemistry class we use gas chromatograph to determine chemical make up
I think it's be a bad idea for job specific robot labor. Example a company has dozens of bots built with claws to move totes and boxes, but a distributors delivery is late, so there's dozens of bots that can't do any work just waste energy and profits. If these were general purpose these bots can then be used for shipping receiving order picking until there's a work load to move the totes and boxes.
Add in wifi security, hacking issues, vr remote access to the bot privacy concerns, corporate espionage concerns. Loss of server access point paper-weight concern. Secured access points concern.
Only plus side is A. They work 24/7 for a monthly subscription fee equal to ½ to ⅔ of human staff wages. Plus any assitional maintenance costs. So that's only ⅓ to ½ the cost of human laborers in savings. Which that profit goes out the window with power outages or lost wifi signal. Let's not even think of emp....
Genesis of the Blade Runner world.
Sleeping with the Devil…
Wouldn't the smell of a rose come down to a chemical composition that a robot "nose" could gain an understanding of--not like a human, but just as unique and probably far more exact than a human?
i thought the chinese room thought experiment was about consciousness, not perception. and i dont know if i can go along with the statement that the concept of the smell of a rose can never be reached without a nose. what about analogies? take for example someone who has no sensory receptor for what a queen is. but you could explain it to him via analogy: imagine a female king. i.e. you take vector embeddings and add and subtract them, voila. its like explaining red and blue to a blind man. you could say something about hot and cold for example. do you see how im explaining what i mean by analogies? analogies are very powerful. you may never reach the mathematical exact point in vector embedding space of the smell of a rose just by analogy, but i think you could get pretty close. and what about understanding of concepts that dont have a sense? abstract concepts of mathematics and physics? we are able to reach and understand them fine.
Yeeeeeaaaahhhhhh boi
Specialized Robots don't scale
If robots are being designed to one day, do all work that humans do not want to do then why are we designing them to work similar to Human versus designing the work around them?
Correct me if I'm wrong, Sanctuary open ai is already owned by microsoft or the majority of... so they are making a corporate formal internal robotics deal just for publicity and paperwork??
Custom robots, sounds like double the msrp... as pointed out they aren't out of the box universal use, and possibly higher server subscription fees to cater each user... because once there's no wireless connecting these robots to the server they become expensive paperweights.
Example: dozens of robots in use at a nursing home care for the patients... a thunder storm kicks out the power to the facility, now the robots have no server to compute with and shut down waiting for wireless access. Now there's no car attendants for the patients, no medications, no one watching for emergency calls, and if they lose power passing through secured access doors now the robots is stuck in the doorway allowing alzheimer and dementia patients escape. Or criminal insane, and suicidal patients out of confinement.
Microsoft does not own OpenAI. The have an arrangement where they can earn 100x back on what they invested. This may end up being de-facto ownership or not, depending on what happens in the coming years.
Interesting that Sanctuary are going to wheels, whilst 1x are going away from wheels to feet.
I think legs is a big gamble. If it works out, then suddenly it can do 5x what wheels can do. If it has issues then you lose the market to the wheeled bots.
@michaelnurse9089 Depends on the environment. Wheels are fine for factories but as soon as you want to move outside, it becomes a problem. The CEO of 1X made the point that legs aren't just for locomotion we use them to counterbalance, to lean on, to hold open doors when our hands are full etc. It's an interesting view of how to scale and solve agi. Do you go simple wheels first and get to scale first and gather data and build up capabilities as you go, or do you go straight for generalisation and scale a legged bot and gather as much of that general data as you can. Only time will tell.
But if scale is what matters, I don't see how people beat tesla, they have the ability to scale, compute and legs. Perhaps Teslas downfall is their lack of wanting to partner whilst other bot companies are open to partner with anyone. Tesla is behind on the LMM because of it.
Sanctuary seems to be focused on industrial uses cases, so lots of companies are competing there. I'm surprised that he is so dismissive of the other bot companies when most of them are putting out impressive demos. I can't see that Sanctuary has a big lead over Figure or Boston Dynamics for example. The only company that doesn't seem to have much competition is 1X, since they are the only ones going after the home bot market.
Geordie bring back your Podcast. Missed level of info.
I will say it again; The best factory humanoid robot will have 4 arms and hands and look more like a Swiss army knife than a female human. The domestic home engineer bot will be shaped and look like a super model with a kind soft voice. For old widowed men, anyway…lol
Just have 2 robots collaborate..
I prefer the model with two arms at home 😊
Those times you are fixing something and wished you had another hand….
That same thought has come to me. I have been thinking about sight and looked into animials with eyes togethere and others with eyes on the isde of their heads. The cars have both.
and can see both ways at the same time. I can see that a hunmanoid will have two arms and look like us but at the same time be able to click in extra arms. Why not?
@@jackykenna6398 humans come in different shapes and sizes. Robots could too; for micro jobs, heavy jobs, need two legs vs wheel chair, high vision, no vision ( radar work in the dark), specific range of gas detection etc. exciting times.
Ill wager no way they beat elon to 1000
AND THE EVIL MICROSOFT HAS PERPETUATED UPON THE WORLD????
Microsoft is just a woke company, Alphabet is both woke and evil
Why you yelling?
The guy is a talker. Microsoft is screwed.
Amazing how Geordie puts Elon's AI techs in front of them when no one else (Wall Street) even think Tesla is a AI company! And Elon will produce the First 1000.
Everyone is getting deals left and right... Teslas bot... Crickets...
Tesla bots will be working in Tesla factories
I will be forever grateful to you, you changed my entire life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, thank you Michelle Stewart.
Wow. I'm a bit perplexed seeing her been mentioned here also Didn’t know she has been good to so many people too this is wonderful, I'm in my fifth trade with her and it has been super.
She is my family's personal broker and also a personal broker in many families in United States, she's a licensed broker and a FINRA AGENT in United states
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
I was skeptical at first till I decided to try. Its huge returns is awesome. I can't say much
she's mostly on Telegrams, using the user name.
please do this more often (interviews/conversations with elite executors vs the usual self pleasuring repetitive hyper bullish drivel)
Herbert, please get a different microphone.
Why?
Interesting but the CEO is really full of himself thinking that only his company and Tesla get humanoid robots! There are many very good companies building humanoid robots and they are well financed. Amond them are many Chinese companies and car makers companies. Those companies know how to mass produce goods and they have bright people working for them.
Around 22:00 it seems to me that Georgie is a bit hypersensitive to S. Korean demographics - I man, c'mon Geordie, it's easier to incentivize people to procreate that to try and solve that problem with robotic labor. This isn't meant to slow progress of the robot, but merely to ridicule the ridiculousness of reducing population to 4% of current.
16:47 I like a lot of what this guy is saying and I have respect for what he is trying to accomplish but TSLA's development of Optimus, the humanoid robot, is NOT just a "zone for prototyping". This is a very serious product for Tesla and this guy is going to get Teslapped across the face if he thinks Tesla is just tinkering around with a robot. He clearly thinks Tesla is a car company, wow...is he in for a big surprise.
Lmao...no other companies can do better than Tesla, even if Tesla is decades behind them, right?
I am all in TSLA because of your years of propaganda saying robots, AI, energy, and cars wouldn’t be reached.
You think they'll scale like Tesla can, this competitor is filling a niche, I think.
Propaganda? Lol do you even know what it is you investing in and why Tesla has the potential lead in most of their developments? Probably not since the word used.
Wow how ignorant can you be, 3 bot makers? perhaps you forgot about a little company called Boston Dynamics? Tesla is a late startup in bots and the first bot was a man in a suit.
