0:00 Intro
0:05 This just happened so waiting to get more information from the technician who shared this, however, it sounds like the engine will need to be replaced.
0:26 Outer brake pad is missing on passenger front and most likely the reason they couldn't stop quick enough.
0:37 As shown, the speaker is too deep compared to a factory one, so when the window rolls down the tracks, it hits the speaker which prevents it from going down all the way.
0:53 Rear tires are very bald and leaking, and that's why the "tire light" keeps coming on. The customer didn't mention if they were going to go anywhere else for tires, just declined repairs.
1:10 Upper ball joint broke on the passenger side.
The customer got new upper ball joints and wheel bearings.
1:21 As shown the shaft for the water pump broke off. They are very lucky nobody got or was closer to the engine when it happened. This was on one of their personal truck, not a customer's truck.
1:42 The technician said it took 20 minutes to drain out completely and the engine turns. Carried out plugs and oil change engine knocking waiting on approval to strip and diagnose.
1:55 The technician said: "2016 Ford F-150 3.5 Ecoboost.
The customer came in for an oil change and complained they also had no A/C. They said they went to The parts store and bought some Freon and tried to put it in themselves but said that still didn't work and turned out the ac belt had snapped due to the compressor locking up and they declined all work to be done."
2:07 The technician said: "2019 Ford Transit Connect. 5th transmission rebuild by ford in 30k km. Over 14k in repair. Reverse is foward, neutral is foward, drive is neutral."
2:24 Customer removed the snake himself, and the technician re-installed the dashboard pieces. The technician said the snake was an anaconda.
2:38 The customer also mentioned they never noticed the tire was punctured until they tried to remove the tree off of the vehicle. They sawed it off because they couldn't pull it out of the tire.

Hope you had an awesome weekend too mate. It's Tuesday here in Australia. :)
I will never understand why people don't get their oil changed, and put the RIGHT oil when doing so! Not that expensive to do, and ruining an engine because of it is absolutely stupid.
so true. my dad hasn't gotten his oil changed in years. i mean probably over 10 years at this point. and he says its fine because he never drives the car. which is true, he only drives it maybe $1k miles a year tops. but i shudder to think about how fucked the oil is in that thing right now.
Same reason why people don't get vaccinations. They believe some yahoo in a basement then the experts.
@@themike97_58 Even if it's barely ever driven hes not thinking about how the oil changes over time and potential condensation that can build up inside from letting it sit for so long. Yikes. Like at minimum it's worth it to spend 50 on a basic change every 6 months to not destroy an engine.
Have to admire the resilience of the car.
@@themike97_58 Maybe just change it for him? Save him the headache of needing a new motor.
The Honda Civic really depresses me. I bought one new and 25 years later have almost 350,000 miles on it. (I have videos on my channel documenting this) It is such a shame seeing people abuse such a quality economy car!

Customer: "NO! There's nothing wrong with my car! This is a scam!"
I brought in my car to a garage once, the rear cylinders needed replacing... "you're lucky you brought it in, it's not safe to drive!", my father is a mechanic, had a look, said the cylinders were fine, and the mechanic was scamming me. Ever since, I can't count how many times I've heard "You're lucky you brought it in! it's not safe to drive!". Sometimes it's even true, but you can't really know when.
just bc they didnât have the shop fix it doesnât mean it wasnât fixed đ€· i prefer to do repairs on my own if possible (though i can confidently say i would never be in a predicament worthy of being featured on this channel)
people bring in their cars with serious problems and decline repairs because sometimes the repair can cost almost as much as the car.
@@mgjk I had a similar thing happen to me. Had my cars annual safety inspection done at a new garage (because it was closer) and the guy failed every single part of the car. But then immediately after offered to buy the car off me for dirt cheap, which made me suspicious. So I took it to another garage and they said the only thing wrong with it was the rear brake pads were almost worn out.
To all of those responding to me, my statement comes from personal experience. Please calm down.
That right rear tire was the most evenly worn-out tire I have ever seen. Legit looked like it came from Nascar.

I had a old ford aspire that I got super cheap from some friends it was $300 bucks. I did regular maintenance that most people would do for a used car plugs brakes asked them when they last changed the oil they said they never did (they had been using it for several years) and it was an old rental car. I changed the sludgy mess and it ran like crap until it had 6k more miles on it then it ran good again and after that I just added oil when it was getting low.
Adding a nylon stocking to a worn & noisy rear diff was reckoned a good fix in my youth
My parents had a Toyota Avalon like that, had low miles but it was full of sludge and valve seals were non existent, burned so much oil on startup it made white clouds. Sold it after it was drinking 2 litres of oil a week (2 quarts)
Had a 1999 Oldsmobile Alrero. Got it for 16th birthday as a gift. Had a blown head gasket for 2 years until I finally got another used car that has been my baby for 5 years

Nah. Same guy had just given it his professional assessment: âWell, itâs gone.â
This is a true story. I knew a summer camp director who was driving back to the camp in Florida late one night when he saw a snake crossing the road in his headlights. He figured it would make a fine addition to the camp's nature center, so he stopped, caught the snake, and stuffed it into his VW bug's map pocket in his door. He was sleepy when he got back to camp and forgot about the snake. Over the next week, the snake would poke its head out from some opening but he couldn't catch it. Finally, he looked everywhere and took apart the seats and found it coiled up in the springs of the passenger seat. It was a water moccasin.
Had to look that snake up as we don't have those here in Australia! They list their bites as 'potentially' fatal, ...while on the other hand, most of our snakes should be avoided at all costs!

I like that top of the tool box
Me too!
A pub I used to go to had tables like that only with beer bottle caps and cigarette packs. Lots of fun to be had with resin and random junk :D.
1:06 nice slicks. I've seen them on the back of cars on the drag strip as well.
1:34 - I had that happen to me on a '92 GMC jimmy. Was driving down the highway at night and the fan clutch shaft broke and turned the fan into a propeller and it flew straight into the radiator leaving a big gash and drained all the coolant leaving me stranded. This was before the days of cell phones so I had to walk 5 miles to some small town and wait for the bus to come through the next morning. Good times.
My friend actually made a bar table like that toolbox at the end and his did not have the state on it or anything like that but it was basically bottle caps encased an epoxy it was pretty cool the only expensive part about it was the beer bottles that we had to drink for like a year
Amateurs. Rural MO would have that top done in one night.
I'm sure it was such a drag sitting around drinking beers with friends. Lolđ€Ł
Thumbs up. And bottoms up too.
Wife: Where are you going tonight?
Hubby: Going over to Bob's to make that table.
Wife: You're not done with that yet?
Hubby: It's a process; you wouldn't understand.
Wife: **grumble grumble**

As someone who can't drive, and knows almost nothing about how a car works, sometimes there's bits of these vehicles where I'm not sure what's the problem. Other times, the hair on the back of my neck stands up and I think, 'I am dead sure that thing's not supposed to look like THAT!!!'
That's why I always throw away damn fan clutches and install shroud with twin electric fans instead. Two 70A relays, thermoswitch in upper hose and everything OK. And yes, powerful alternator.
Fan clutch seems attached.... đ€
Maybe the water pump flange?
I can't see a lot on my phone
I have 2006 Civic with the same engine and 365k km. It still runs perfectly. I did a valve adjustment at 240 k km and it was nearly pristine under the cover. I will do another valve adjustment in springtime and I'm certain it will still be close to pristine.
When your oil looks like that from not changing it, what do they do? Add bottles of engine flush? Looks like it would be miserable to deal with.
Take it apart and clean it as well. Waiting to hear an update from the viewer who shared it but sounds like it needs an engine.
If it's still running looking like that I think the standard procedure is to bury it at a crossroads.
Oil flush is likely to break things loose all at once. What I've heard of DIY doing is near-daily oil changes with cheap oil and filters until it's cleaned out. Not sure what a tech would do given the time constraints.
@@russellhltn1396 I agree with that.
I'd probably add a pint or so of ATF and run the car for 5-10 minutes before changing the oil and filter.
If it's a car where you can easily change the filter without dumping a whole bunch of oil I might change the filter weekly and top up the oil.
I will say diesel oils with a big detergent package will help keep your engine cleaner over time.
Beware oils with elevated ZDDP unless you like buying expensive catalytic converters
Throw some transmission fluid, kerosene, or diesel in it and idle it for 10 or 15 minutes then dump everything and put fresh oil and filter in it. They make expensive engine cleaner kits that come with special chemicals and you do like two runs to make it like new inside. Have a 99 300m we retired so hadn't bothered to service it or change the oil. It lost oil pressure on the freeway and figured it was done once I realized it was making upper end noise. Drove it gently 20 miles and it never got worse or bottom end knocking. Checked our records and oil had 20k on it.
Decided to change the oil and filter just in case and pressure came back and eventually the top end got quiet the second time I started it after sitting a while. I don't trust it now and replacing the oil pump is a huge expensive job, it has 190k on it 3.5 ho engine, pretty darn tough.
The upside to these video submissions is mechanics will never go unemployed.
Not for a couple of decades anyway.
That tree branch in the tire is awesome! I once got a fkk look at tire on a truck when it was punctured by a cowâs rib!
That truck blowing out the water pump was impressive. Infinitely moreso seeing as no one was harmed.
Also, cool tool chest top! I've always had a thing for bottlecaps. Such a small thing but companies would put effort you won't ever see today squeezing their logos onto them. Just another bit of industry going by the wayside.
I haven't changed my oil in 19 hours
How can you live with yourself? đ
Sludge monster ! đ€Șđ€Łđ€Ł
16 years times twice a year. September and April, no matter the mileage. I made it to 7k once.
first one with encrusted engine: what do you do with something like that? looks like a tear down to me, if it isn't all worn out.
thought the same, can not imagine that it would be possible to get it clean otherwise.
Iâd try Seafoam or Amsoil engine flush, then change the oil about 3 times. You may be pleasantly surprised.
love that toolbox
That table at the end is really cool!
I'm always shocked by the tires you show. That kind of thing makes me glad we have inspections here. I can't imagine driving like that and thinking it's ok. That said I just saw a guy driving on a rim on the main street in the county seat. Car was pretty new and I'm sure it had a spare. He looked old enough to know better.
Older doesn't always mean wiser. Look at the resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave!
"The customer declined any repair" - Why does EVERYONE who mistreats his car do that?!? "My tires are leaking, can you look for a fix?" "...your tires are done, you need new ones" "No, but thanks"
These people are the embodiment of the "No take, only throw" meme.
I always enjoy your videos because of the BGM ))
My 84 Thunderbird was sitting for years. I didn't know how long? The first thing I did was change the oil. Time for another change after 4000 Km. It only has 20,000 kms on it. Less than 13 thousand miles. Still runs like brand new
That poor Alfa Romeo đ„
Some of you older guys may be horrified at this, but my mom told me that she never got the oil changed on her brand new 1971 Dodge Charger (i think it was the R/T with larger engine). She was only in her teens, and didn't know anything about cars or that needed oil changes, so she just had gas stations add a quart occasionally until the engine locked up after a couple years. :0
When did gas stations stop doing that service?
I mean, i know that we men are supposedly ignoring the user manuals, but women are said to be smarter in that regard and actually look into a user manual.
I am pretty sure the user manual and the service booklet stated when the oil would be due to change. (Back then, the first one would have been within 1000 miles or so if i remember correct. Was common practice to use a different oil for the break in period.)
My first car was from 1984 and while i didn't get the user manual as i was the 5th owner or so and someone before me had lost it, but it certainly did in the service booklet that i got with the car.
With service booklet i mean a little booklet where the oil change intervals were already marekd and a workshop would stamp their logo in at the according mark insert the real mileage and what maint they'd done. Most manufacturer until the end of the 90's provided any new car with one of those.
@@nirfz no women has looked into a cars user manual lmao
@@esdigital5259 -- Good question? my guestimate is early eighties maybe?
@@esdigital5259 New Jersey still has full service stations. It's the law.
I knew a guy who never changed the oil in his Saturn, just added it sometimes.
It started smoking one day, and he looked under the hood.
The oil filter had rusted through, and was spraying oil all over the place.
Most Saturns have continuous loss oil systems. So it kinda works
wow that toolbox top is awesome!!!!
